EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1

At the Public Security Maintenance Bureau, Yeager is playing a portable game before Jack approaches in his office all of the sudden. Yeager quickly gets back to work and asks why Jack came suddenly. Jack goes straight to the point asks about what Dragan from Ragnarok Team was truly used as a foil to fool him. Yeager thinks about that word for a moment before getting back to work and pretending not to know what Jack is talking about. Jack gets angry and hits the table strongly as he is now convinced this story is true. Yeager is looking scared and can't write properly on paper.

Note: Jack uses the word "噛ませ犬" or "Kamaseinu" which literally means a foil or someone who looks as if he is fighting hard but actually have no chance of winning.

Jack asks directly why Yeager did such a thing. Yeager is sweating and insisting that he truly has no slight idea what Jack is talking about. Seeing Yeager not remembering (or pretend not to remember) anything, Jack grasps him up and says that he will make him remember now. Yeager finally surrenders and agrees to speak up in exchange of his life.

Yeager hopes Jack understand that existence of the king who never loses and has a charisma duelist of the world is necessary for the director Goodwin. His words make Jack remember Dragan's words. Dragan earlier asked whether Jack really thought that he gained victory to become the king only by his own strength (episode 123). Yeager smiles and tries to explain Jack that he of course disagreed. He always believed that Jack wouldn't be defeated by Dragan with or without such a thing. Jack places Yeager down gently and leaves the room without saying anything else. Yeager feels relieved as he thought that he would really be killed.

At the Poppo Time, everyone is talking about what happened between Jack and Dragan. Aki notes that Dragon might be asked by Goodwin to be defeated on purpose. Crow remembers that, at the Exhibition, when he saw Dragan, he thought that there had been something (episode 118). He thinks that Jack should be in a shock to hear about a rigged match. Lua tries to protect Jack. He thinks that Jack shouldn't be related because he had no idea about it. He turns to Yusei and hopes Yusei will agree with him. Yusei just answers him that it may be true.

Note: Crow uses the word "八百長" or "Yaochou" which literally means a set-up or rigged game/race. It's truly an unfair game and commonly used in a gamble when one side is asked to lose on purpose.

Bruno then runs into the living room where everyone is, bringing such a good thing in hand. It's Jack's movie, "Lord of the King!," showing his path as the king. He borrowed this movie as there may be a scene of Dragan's duel with Jack. Aki, Luca, and even Yusei don't seem interested. Bruno asks whether there is something wrong. Yusei tells him that there is nothing. Bruno encourages people to watch the movie. He takes a CD out, leaves a cover to Yusei, and runs to a TV to open it.

Jack is now standing on a bridge and looking into the river in the night of Neo Domino City. He is thinking about his meeting with the Ragnarok Team (episode 123). Dragan talked about the condition he received in the duel between him and Jack. He was asked not to win Jack no matter what. If he did that, he would get money to save his father who always supported him. It's clear how Dragan's father is important to him. Jack is getting very mad while thinking about this. Jack hits the bridge strongly before walking away.

At the Poppo Time, everyone is watching Jack's movie. On screen, Jack is having a riding with Dragan. It's the first turn. Jack has Top Runner on the field, setting up 2 face-down cards and ending his turn. "The dead god of the North Europe or whatever! In front of the king, I will let you realize a helpless sheep!," Jack says on the video.

It's now Dragan's turn. He summons Polar Star Beast Garm to the field in attack position. Setting a card, he ends his turn. The scene is cut to Jack's turn quickly. Jack summons Power Breaker (LV 4) and tunes it with Top Runner (LV 4) to synchro summon Red Demon's Dragon to the field. He tells Dragan that he will let him remember true power of the king. Jack moves to battle phase, declaring an attack of "Absolute Power Force!", to destroy Polar Star Beast Garm successfully. Dragan screams after the big strike.

Luca is stunned by 2200 damage (3000-800) hitting Dragan in an instance. The video cuts the scene to the conclusion of this duel. Jack makes a direct attack to Dragan in his next turn and gains overwhelming victory. Bruno then turns off the video. Aki notes that Dragan didn't do any counterattack after Polar Star Beast Garm was destroyed. Crow recalls what Dragan said that he insert his pride into his card. Yusei adds that when Red Demon's Dragan attacked Polar Star Beast Garm, Dragan's set-up trap card wasn't activated. Aki is curious what king of card it is.

At this moment, Jack is walking upstairs and seeing everyone trying to avoid looking at him. He sees his movie CD on the table and asks what it is. Bruno quickly takes it away and gives an excuse that they just wanted to look at an old movie. Lua tells Jack not to think too much about it. It can't be helped because Jack truly had no idea and Dragan just needed money.

Jack isn't satisfied by such a comment and stares at Lua angrily. He yells at Lua and asks what Lua knows about ones who don't have money. Lua is scared as holding his head to avoid Jack. Jack doubts whether people really think Dragan would want to throw away his pride of duelists to accept Yeager's offer. Yusei calls Jack and tries to calm him down. Jack doesn't think that anyone understands and walks downstairs alone. Lua looks disappointed as he just wants to make Jack feel better. Luca is afraid that they still don't understand Jack's feeling and basic thought.

In that night, Jack is sitting and thinking alone in a dark room. Yusei walks into him. Jack sees Yusei coming and apologizes for what he did to Lua earlier. He just thought about the past back then. Yusei tells him not to be worried about it. He believes that Lua should understand. Jack realizes that although he could reign the duel king back then, he was still used by Goodwin.

Yusei tells Jack not to push himself to a corner as Jack just looked for only for strength. Anyway, Jack just can't stand the fact that Goodwin asked Dragan to do a rigged match. If he is fine with it, his pride of duelists won't forgive him. Yusei suggests Jack prove who will deserve to be a true winner in the tomorrow duel. It will be a match betting by their pride. Jack gets up and declares that a true winner will definitely be him. He then walks away. Yusei has a smile on his face after seeing Jack's clear decision.

At the over sea stadium, the final tournament of the first WRGP is continued in Block B. The result of Block A has already been determined by New World Team. The winner of today in Block B will advance to match New World Team in the final round. The 2 teams competing in Black A is 5D'S Team with Yusei Fudo & Jack Atlus and Ragnarok Team using the tripolar gods holding the power of gods. The crowd is looking forward how this match will turn out.

At the observation deck, Yeager is praying for Jack to win. It's such an ironic fate that Jack is facing Dragan in the semifinal like this. Yeager is afraid that it will be a big trouble if Jack loses. His concerning look causes attention to a guard in the room, so Yeager turns back to his normal reaction quickly. He walks to the windows, points his finger forward, and orders Jack Atlus, who was once called the king, to win.

Jack and Dragan are now staring at each other. Brave tells Dragan that this time has finally come. Dragan feels grateful to what Brave and Harald helped him. Because of Brave, he could remember his fighting spirit. Also, if Harald hadn't come to him back then, he would probably have shut himself up by now. Brave understands Dragan's feeling very well. He would like Dragan to think only about defeating Jack by everything he has now. Harald agrees as it is all for Ragnarok Team as well. Dragan nods his head as an agreement.

The first wheelers of both teams, Jack and Dragan, are now ready at the start line. A match between them is about to start. The ladies cheer Jack out loud. Lua looks at Yusei and hopes that Jack will be fine. Yusei smiles and believes so. Both Jack and Dragan set up [Speed World 2 - Field Spell: When you play a Magic card other than a Magic card with "Speed Spell" in its name, you receive 2000 points of damage. Both player's, during their Standby Phases, place 1 Speed Counter for themselves on this card. (A maximum of 12 for each player.) By removing a number of Speed Counter placed from your Speed World, you can activate one of following effects. 4: Inflict 800 Damage to your opponent for each "Speed Spell" Card in your hand. 7: Draw 1 card from your deck. 10: Destroy 1 card on the field]. Speed World expands and controls the entire riding field.

Dragan tells Jack to bring it on as he will defeat him this time. Jack challenges Dragan to come for him. He won't be called Jack Atlus if he loses to Dragan. A digital clock begins to count down. Everyone is paying attention. Jack tells himself that he will definitely take his wounded pride back. "Riding Duel! Acceleration!," MC declares for a start. Both Jack and Dragan take off by their fastest speed.

Jack is leading Dragan by an amazing speed and surprising everyone. Dragan wonders whether Jack thinks he can win by this. There is no way he will lose to him. Jack tells Dragan not to think that he can beat his machine taking a year to build up. He clearly passes Dragan at the first corner before both are getting into the duel driveway. Crow gets excited for the first turn Jack gets. Here is where Jack and Dragan declare a start of their official duel.

Both draw their 5 starting cards and become very surprised. They have the exact same cards as when they earlier competed each other. Jack's 5 cards are Reaction Summon, Burning Reborn, Power Breaker, Barrier Resonator, and Trap Eater. Dragan's 5 cards are Polar Star Beast Garm, Polar Star Beast Tanngnjóstr, Polar Star Beast Gullfaxi, Solemn Authority, and Magical Hammer of Mjöllnir.

EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2

Dragan is wondering whether such a thing is happening. He truly has the same hand as when he dueled Jack. Jack doubts whether this is just a coincidence or a fate that wants them to rerun that duel.

1st Turn - Jack

The first turn is with Jack. According to the effect of Speed World 2, no Speed Counter increases in the first turn of the game. Thus, a number of SPCs is 0 for both. Jack draws and gets Top Runner. It's a another surprise to him that the first card is even the same as before. To take back his wounded pride, Jack needs to beat Dragan's set-up card back then and gain victory the same duel.

Top Runner
Tuner Monster Card

Jack starts by summoning a tuner monster [Top Runner - 4/1100/800: If you control a face-up monster, you cannot Normal Summon this card from your hand. While this card is face-up on the field, all face-up Synchro Monsters you control gain 600 ATK] to the field in attack position. Dragan is stunned by seeing Top Runner. He of course remembers the same play as before. Setting 2 face-down cards, Jack ends his turn. He challenges Dragan to bring it on as this is a destiny to settle their duel from that time. Dragan understands what Jack means and plays the same cards as before. He thinks that goddess of destiny is giving him an opportunity to avenge Jack by the same duel. He hopes to settle down it with Jack here.

2nd Turn - Dragan

Jack's SPCs 1
Dragan's SPCs 1

Polar Star Beast Garm
Effect Monster Card

It's now Dragan's turn. He draws a card and gets Polar Star Treasure Brisingamen. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. They result in 1 SPC (1+0) evenly. Dragan summons [Polar Star Beast Garm ~ Kyokuseijuu Garm - 4/800/1900: When this card battles a monster with level 4 or less, after damage calculation, you can return that monster to the owner's hand] to the field in attack position. Seeing Top Runner and Polar Star Beast Garm, everyone can recognize this duel from their prior match. Dragan sets up a card and ends his turn. Jack understands well that this move must be coming.

3rd Turn - Jack

Jack's SPCs 2
Dragan's SPCs 2

Jack calls for his turn and draws a card. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. They result in 2 SPCs (1+1) evenly. Jack summons [Power Breaker - 4/1900/0: When this card is destroyed, you can destroy 1 face-up Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls] to the field in attack position and quickly tunes Top Runner into Power Breaker.

"The ruler's heartbeats will now file through here! Take witness to its creation-shaking power!", he chants and declares his Synchro Summon, calling out his very soul, [Red Demon's Dragon - 8/3000/2000: When this card attacks a Defense Position monster your opponent controls, after Damage Calculation, destroy all Defense Position monster your opponent controls. If this card is face-up during your End-Phase, destroy all monsters you control that didn't declare an attack this turn except this card], out to the field in attack position.

Red Demon's Dragon

The crowd screams as Jack can successfully summon his ace monster. It's clear to Yusei and Harald now that Jack and Dragan are having the same duel as before. It means to Crow that the earlier set-up card of Dragan is what Jack has to face. Harald looks glad that fate is such a stylish thing. Jack challenges Dragan to come on as he won't hide or run but will definitely destroy his set-up card. Dragan looks at his set-up card and remembers what happened back then. Yeager threatened him by recalling his agreement with the director Goodwin.

Jack starts his attack by declaring an attack of Red Demon's Dragon, "Absolute Power Force!", toward Polar Star Beast Garm. Dragan opens his set-up trap card [Polar Star Treasure Brisingamen ~ Kyokushinhou Brisingamen - Normal Trap: Until the End Phase of this turn, The ATK of 1 Monster you control becomes equal to the ATK of 1 other monster on the field. If your monster that becomes a target of this effect can destroy your opponent's monster, inflict damage to your opponent equal to its original ATK].

This is the move that Dragan didn't do in the prior duel. Brisingamen is equipped as a necklace with Polar Star Beast Garm. Jack tells Dragan to show the card effect he puts his pride on. By the effect of Polar Star Treasure Brisingamen, the ATK of Polar Star Beast Garm can be the same as ATK of a monster on the field until the end phase. Dragan certainly chooses Red Demon's Dragon, so the ATK of Polar Star Beast Garm becomes the same 3000. Fire emerges from the back of Polar Star Beast Garm and forms into a flaming monster shape. Lua can see two bodies of Red Demon's Dragon on the field.

Dragan explains additional effect of Polar Star Treasure Brisingamen that if his monster affected by this card can destroy the opponent's monster, he can inflict damage to opponent equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK. Bruno understands that this means if Red Demon's Dragon is destroyed by battle, Jack will receive 3000 damage, the ATK of Red Demon's Dragon.

Crow sees that this is the ability of Dragan's set-up card. Jack feels interested and accepts to be Dragan's opponent. He tells Dragan to bring it on as this will be a real battle betting by their pride. Jack opens his counter trap card [Reaction Summon - Counter Trap: Activate only when the ATK of an opponent's monster changes. Special Summon 1 monster with level 4 or less from your Graveyard]. When the ATK of his opponent's monster changes, Jack can special summon a monster with level 4 or less from the graveyard. He thus calls Top Gunner back to the field in attack position.

In addition to the effect of Top Runner, all synchro monsters on the field can gain 600 ATK. Thus, the ATK of Red Demon's Dragon increases to 3600 (3000+600). Brave is very stunned by such powerful strength. Crow gets excited as this ATK is how higher than the opponent's. Jack declares an attack of Red Demon's Dragon, "Absolute Power Force!", again to destroy Polar Star Beast Garm successfully. Dragan's LP drops to 3400 (4000+3000-3600).

Lua is glad that Jack could finally beat up Dragan's trap. Jack tells Dragan that this is an outcome from their prior duel. He hopes Dragan would realize that he still couldn't defeat him. Dragan laughs and tells Jack that it's still too naive. He could expect that Polar Star Beast Garm would be destroyed. His set-up trap is just the beginning. Jack gets very surprised.

Polar Star Beast Tanngnjóstr
Effect Monster Card

Dragan activates a monster effect of [Polar Star Beast Tanngnjóstr ~ Kyokuseijuu Tanngnjóstr - 3/800/1100: When a monster you control is destroyed by battle, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card's battle position is changed, you can Special Summon 1 "Polar Star Beast Tanngrisnir" from your Deck] on his hand. When a monster he controls is destroyed by battle, he can special summon this card from hand. Dragan thus calls it to the field in defense position. He challenges Jack to come in as a real battle is about to start from this point on. Crow looks uncertain after realizing that Dragan's trap card isn't a trump card of this game.

Harald understands well that Dragan is aiming to summon a god. Brave smiles as he knows that Jack Atlus isn't aware of getting into Dragan's strategy now. Harald hopes Jack will realize a terror of their god.

Still in Jack's battle phase, he declares an attack of Top Runner toward Polar Star Beast Tanngnjóstr. Top Runner has 1100 ATK while Polar Star Beast Tanngnjóstr has 1100 DEF, the result is a draw. No monster is destroyed. Luca wonders why Jack attacks with knowing that his monster wouldn't be able to destroy the opponent's. Yusei explains that it's protect Top Runner. Crow further explains that it is an effect of Red Demon's Dragon. All face-up monsters that didn't attack in this turn must be destroyed at the end phase. To keep Top Runner, Jack thus needed to have it attack. Luca has just realized Jack's real purpose. Setting up a card, Jack ends his turn.

4th Turn - Dragan

Jack's SPCs 3
Dragan's SPCs 3

A turn moves back to Dragan, and he draws a card. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. They result in 3 SPCs (2+1) evenly. Dragan changes Polar Star Beast Tanngnjóstr to attack position. When this monster changes its battle position, he can special summon Polar Star Beast Tanngrisnir from his deck. [Polar Star Beast Tanngrisnir ~ Kyokuseijuu Tanngrisnir - 3/1200: When this card is destroyed, Special Summon 2 "Polar Star Beast Tokens"] is thus special summoned from his deck to the field in attack position.

Next, Dragan activates a monster effect of a tuner monster [Polar Star Beast Gullfaxi ~ Kyokuseijuu Gullfaxi - 4/1600/1100: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned from your hand when your opponent controls a Synchro Monster and you control no Synchro Monsters] on his hand. When there is a synchro monster on the field, he can special summon this card from hand. Jack is currently controlling a synchro monster, Red Demon's Dragon, so Dragan special summons Polar Star Beast Gullfaxi from his hand to the field in attack position.

Seeing a tuner monster, Aki, Crow, and Yusei realize immediately that Dragan is planning to summon his god. Bruno has just understood Dragan's true plan. His earlier trap, Polar Star Treasure Brisingamen, is just to lead Jack to destroy Polar Star Beast Garm so that he can create this situation to summon his god. It's now Dragan's big move. He tunes Polar Star Beast Gullfaxi into Polar Star Beast Tanngrisnir and Polar Star Beast Tanngnjóstr.

"When the Door to the Starry World opens, the Ancient War God will raise up his Magical Hammer! The very earth itself will shake as he appears from a roar of thunder! Synchro Summon! Descend, Polar God Emperor Thor!," Dragan chants and synchro summons [Polar God Emperor Thor ~ Kyokushinou Thor - 10/3500/2800: Once per turn, you can negate the effect(s) of 1 monster your opponent controls, and you can use its effect(s) as the effect(s) of this card. When this face-up card on the field is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon it from your Graveyard during the End Phase. When this card is Special Summoned by this effect, inflict 800 Damage to your opponent] to the field in attack position. A Rune's eye is now appearing on his eye as the god is summoned.

Polar God Emperor Thor

MC describes excitedly that Dragan's ace monster of the tripolar gods holding the power of god, Polar God Emperor Thor, finally appears. The crowd looks very astonished by appearance of Polar God Emperor Thor. Stephanie sees that it truly has a god look. Mikage has heard of its story and hardly believes to see it there. Jack and Yusei see that the tripolar god finally appears itself. Anyway, it has only 3500 ATK, which is still lower than 3600 ATK of Red Demon's Dragon gaining 600 ATK bonus from Top Runner's effect. It's clear to Jack that Polar God Emperor Thor still can't defeat his Red Demon's Dragon.

Dragan, whose Rune's eye is still flashing on his left eye, sees that Jack hasn't understood yet. He thus will show him the power of the god. Dragan activates a monster effect of Polar God Emperor Thor, "Effect Absorber!". Once per turn, it can negate an effect of an opponent's monster and use its effect for itself. Thus, Top Runner's effect is negated, and Dragan can use its effect toward Polar God Emperor Thor.

Without Top Runner's effect, the ATK of Red Demon's Dragon drops to its original 3000. On the other hand, 600 ATK bonus from Top Runner's effect is added to Polar God Emperor Thor. Polar God Emperor Thor's ATK now becomes 4100 (3500+600). Aki looks very stunned by such a powerful strength. Brave is afraid that when Polar God Emperor Thor is summoned, leaving Top Runner on the field like that may cost Jack his life. Harald smiles as he believes that Dragan has already seen through Jack's strategy completely.

Dragan tells Jack that when Polar Star Treasure Brisingamen was activated, this situation was determined. He hopes Jack will witness the power of the god, declaring an attack of Polar God Emperor Thor, "Thunder Pile!," toward Red Demon's Dragon. Red Demon's Dragon is crushed and destroyed so easily. Jack's LP drops to 2900 (4000+3000-4100). His speed is down, making Dragan leading now.

Everyone looks very shocked when Jack's ace monster was beaten by a single blow. Yeager collapses as he doesn't want to believe it. Nobody in 5D"S Team can say anything for this outcome. Yusei now realizes this card holding power of god, Polar God Emperor Thor. Harald and Brave are now smiling. Harald now can foresee their victory of this duel. Dragan tells Jack that this is the power of god. He will definitely take back his pride left in the past. Jack is trying to hold himself up against Polar God Emperor Thor in front of him.

To be continue...
