| EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1 |
The riding duel in the preliminary round is continued. It is now a duel between Yusei and Breo, the second wheeler of the Unicorn Team. Earlier, Breo played an effect of Voltic Bicorn. When it was destroyed, both Yusei and Breo had to discard 7 cards from their decks to the graveyards. While discarding, Yusei was realizing Breo's true strategy. Even Aki and Crow could figure it out immediately.
Jean and Andore realized that the 5D'S Team had already been aware of their true plan. Andore revealed the fact that he set up Speed Spell - The End of Storm to be destroyed. He didn't intent to transfer it to Breo because he knew that it was necessary to his deck. Against Breo's deck, Stardust Dragon had no meaning at all. That's because Breo's deck was a deck destruction. Opposing this deck, strong monsters on the field have no meaning as a player will lose anyway when there is no card left to draw.
It is now in the second main phase of the 15th turn on Breo. Yusei has Stardust Dragon, Dash Warrior, Card Breaker, a face-down card, and Wicked Reborn on the field. He has 2000 LP and 11 SPCs. On the other side, Breo has 4000 LP and 1 face-down card on the field. MC describes the situation that Yusei, the last hope of the 5D'S Team could defeat Andore and take on Breo the second wheeler's attack. It's interesting how Yusei will respond.
Breo tells Yusei that the true hell will be from now on and he is going to show it to him. He sets 2 face-down cards, Tuning Failure and Regretful Tuning, and ends his turn. At the pit, everyone is getting concerned about Breo's game play. Lua and Luca see that if Breo truly aims to deck destruction, Yusei's deck will be written off to 0. Aki adds that if a duel can't be continued, it is considered a defeat. Crow is more concerned as there is still Jean after Breo.
Bruno adds that, in a team battle, deck destruction is a better effective strategy than LP depletion. Crow is sweating as the situation seems pretty bad. At the medical room, Carly, Mikage, and Stephanie are watching the duel on screen while Jack is still sleeping on a bed. He groans before his eyes are opened slowly. The ladies all turn to him. Jack is trying to get up. Carly asks him not to overdo it.
Jack looks at the screen and asks how the duel is running. Stephanie tells him that Yusei is now dueling Breo the second wheeler. Jack asks about Aki. Mikage answers him that Aki was defeated to Andore. Jack looks very surprised but understands how things are going on now. Carly knows what Jack is going to say. If Yusei can't defeat Breo and Jean, there will be no victory for 5D'S Team. Jack asks about the current situation of Yusei's duel. Mikage is afraid to tell him that it doesn't look very good now.
While riding, Yusei is realizing Breo's deck-destruction strategy. He now has 4 cards on hand and 23 cards left in his deck.

Yusei calls for his turn, draws a card, and gets Speed Spell - Accel Draw. In
his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides. Breo has 3 SPCs (2+1) while Yusei has 12 SPCs (11+1) at maximum. Yusei activates [Speed Spell - Accel Draw - Normal Spell: Activate only when you have 12 Speed Counters. Draw 2 cards], which can be used only when there are full 12 SPCs. He has exact 12 SPCs to satisfy this condition. Speed Spell - Accel Draw allows him to draw 2 new cards.
Lua and Luca are surprised by seeing Yusei's draw. Lua doubts whether drawing more cards now is a bad thing. Bruno explains that although Yusei tried to protect himself, Breo's strategy would still be carried on. Thus, it's better to counterattack (Drawing to have more cards and opportunities on hand is better than having them discarded into the cemetery). Even Breo can read through Yusei's game play. He is afraid that it isn't supposed to happen. Yusei's plan to carve a way has already been entered into the data of his memory.
Yusei moves to battle phase, declaring a direct attack of Stardust Dragon, "Shooting Sonic!," toward Breo. Breo's LP drops to 1500 (4000-2500) by this strike. This direct attack is what he has waited for. Breo opens his face-down trap card [Regretful Tuning ~ Tsuukon no Chouritsu - Normal Trap: Activate only when you receive a direct attack from your opponent's monster. Special Summon 1 Synchro Monster from your Graveyard. The Special Summoned monster is destroyed at the end of the Battle Phase of this turn], which can be used only when a direct attack is made to him. It allows him to special summon a synchro summon from his graveyard.

Breo selects to special summon Voltic Bicorn to the field in attack position. Anyway, the monster special summoned by the effect of Regretful Tuning must be destroyed at the end of the battle phase. Bruno is worried as Voltic Bicorn is again revived. Crow sees a consequence from the monster effect of Voltic Bicorn. When it is destroyed, both sides have to discard 7 cards to the graveyards.
Yusei sees that Stardust Dragon and Voltic Bicorn have the same 2500 ATK. He wonders whether Breo is planning to kill his monster along with Stardust Dragon in the next turn so that his deck will be further destroyed. Andore smiles and things are running according to Breo's plan. It's clear to Jean that Yusei is hesitating. He thinks that Yusei's hesitation will make his situation even worse. Yusei decides to set up a face-down card, Synchro Striker Unit, and ends his turn. Breo tells Yusei that it's useless as he won't let him get away.

A turn moves back to Breo. He draws a card and gets Damage Lance. In
his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added only to Breo's side as Yusei has 12 SPCs at maximum. Breo has 4 SPCs (3+1) while Yusei has 12 SPCs. As expected, Breo quickly moves to battle phase and declares an attack of Voltic Bicorn toward Stardust Dragon. Both monsters have the same 2500 ATK, so it's going to kill each other.
Yusei can't allow Stardust Dragon to be destroyed. He opens his face-down trap card [Synchro Striker Unit - Normal Trap: After activation, this card becomes an Equip Card to 1 Synchro Monster you control and the equipped monster gains 1000 ATK. It loses 800 ATK during each of your End Phases] which can be equipped with Stardust Dragon and increases its ATK by 1000. Stardust Dragon's ATK thus becomes 3500 (2500+1000).
To counter Yusei's play, Breo opens his face-down trap card [Compliance ~ Tsuijyuu - Normal Trap: When the ATK of an opponent's monster changes during the Battle Phase, 1 monster you control gains ATK equal to that amount until the end of the Battle Phase]. This trap can be used only when ATK of an opponent's monster changes during the battle phase. It allows Breo's 1 monster go gain ATK equal to difference until the end of battle phase. Because Stardust Dragon and Voltic Bicorn originally have the same ATK, Voltic Bicorn thus gains the same ATK to 3500 (2500+3500-2500).
Both Stardust Dragon and Voltic Bicorn crash and kill each other in the mid air. Yusei is stunned, and Breo feels sorry to him. Lua and Luca are worried as Stardust Dragon is finally destroyed. Aki is amazed by Breo's play. She thinks that Yusei did well by increasing the ATK of Stardust Dragon so that it wouldn't be destroyed. Nevertheless, Breo could still make it a draw.
Breo warns Yusei not to think that he can get away from him. Because Voltic Bicorn is destroyed, both of them have to discard 7 cards from their decks to the graveyards. Breo hasn't done. He opens the last face-down trap cards [Tuning Failure ~ Choritsu Houkai - Normal Trap: Activate only when 1 of your opponent's Synchro monsters is destroyed by battle. Send cards from the top of your opponent's deck equal to that monster's Level]. According to its effect, when a synchro monster of the opponent is destroyed, the opponent has to discard a number of cards equal to the level of that synchro monster.

Lua sees that Stardust Dragon has level 8, so 8 cards will be discarded. Luca adds it up with the earlier 7 cards going to be discarded by the effect of Voltic Bicorn. Total discarded cards are 15 (7+8). Crow looks very worried as this should be kidding. Yusei is now sending a bunch of cards from his deck to the graveyard. MC describes that it's an amazing play of Breo of Unicorn Team. By a deck-destruction combo of Voltic Bicorn and Tuning Failure, Yusei's deck is written off by 15 cards rapidly. Yusei now becomes very nervous after losing Stardust Dragon left by Aki and 15 cards in his deck. He looks at his deck, and he now has only 5 cards left.

Note: Voltic Bicorn is synchro summoned from an extra deck, so a total number of cards now becomes 41.
Note 2: Our cemetery's card number is off by 1 from what is displayed in anime. Anime displays Breo's cards in the cemetery as 20 while we get 21 as listed above. We are pretty much convinced by the list of 21 cards in his graveyard but are not sure how come anime shows only 20. A possibility may lie under an unknown card effect. An effect may return a card in the cemetery to his deck, and Breo may discard this card to the cemetery again. As we see 2 Mine Moles sent to the graveyard, it may be only 1 card. We are still not sure as the effect of Mine Mole is still unclear. Anyway, Breo's cards don't play much important role in this game, so we just mark this as a small discrepancy and will update it later when we know more about all card effects. |

* Stardust Dragon and Wicked Reborn are transferred from Aki to Yusei. They are not originally in Yusei's deck in this game, so they are not counted as Yusei's cards. |
Luca is in panic and asks what to do. At this rate, Yusei and the 5D'S Team will be defeated. Crow hits the table and looks mad. There is still Jean after Breo. Aki is concerned by that it is hardly possible for Yusei to fight 2 people only by 5 cards left in his deck. Andore looks at Jean and says that he is very impressed by Jean's strategy. Jean corrects Andore that it isn't only me. He gives a credit to Breo's effort. Without Breo's extraordinary memory ability, this strategy couldn't be formed.
Andore thinks that Jean may be true. He knows that, so far, Breo can remember duel data of the opponent team thoroughly. He uses it to analyze, read through the opponent's thought, and crush the opponent by his deck destruction. Jean agrees with Andore and adds that memory ability is a talent of Breo as a duelist. It is also his greatest weapon. Andore is afraid that such a trick like this doesn't suit him.
Jean smiles as he knows that Andore has a talent in card playing sense while Breo has calculation that can create possibility. They just have different talents. Andore calls the last element which is Jean's strategy that puts everything together toward victory. Jean says that they are strength of Unicorn Team.
Breo tells Yusei that this is a team fight. It isn't related to individual victory or defeat. If one just focuses on inflicting more damage to an opponent, he can't bring out his power at maximum. The one who is aware of this is Jean and Andore. Breo recalls when both were inviting him to join the team. He declares that as long as he can duel along with them, he is glad to be a shield of the Unicorn Team. Setting all 3 cards left on his hand, he ends his turn.

Yusei calls for his turn and draws a card. In
his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added only to Breo's side as Yusei has 12 SPCs at maximum. Breo has 5 SPCs (4+1) while Yusei has 12 SPCs. Yusei is aware that he has only 4 cards left in his turn. At this moment, Breo opens his continuous trap card [Bewitching Tricorrole ~ Genwaku No Tricorrole - Continuous Trap: When this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot declare an attack. Once per turn, your opponent reveals the top card of their Deck. Activate the following effect depending on the type of card: Spell Card: Your opponent adds the revealed Card to their hand. Trap Card: Your opponent sends the revealed card and 1 card from their hand to the Graveyard. Monster Card: Your opponent adds the revealed card to their hand, and then places 1 other card from their hand on top of their Deck. Your opponent can destroy this card by sending 1 card from the top of their Deck to the Graveyard].
As long as this card remains on the field, Yusei can't attack. Also, once per turn, Yusei has to draw a card and the following effects will be applied based on what can be drawn. If it is a spell card, Yusei can add it to his hand. If it is a trap card, Yusei has to send it along with another card on his hand to the graveyard. If it is a monster card, Yusei can add it to his hand and place 1 card on his hand back to his deck. Anyway, Yusei has a choice to destroy this trap card by sending the top card on his deck to the graveyard. Breo asks which choice Yusei will pick.
At this situation, Breo is convinced by that Yusei doesn't want to discard a card on his hand to the graveyard. He also realizes that Yusei isn't a gamble-like person, either. Thus, Breo is confident that Yusei is going to pick the choice that will falls into his next play. Jean and Andore look at Breo and know what he is aiming to.
Breo expects that Yusei can destroy Bewitching Tricorrole by the effect of Speed World 2. If so, he plans to activate his face-down trap card [Destruction Trigger - Normal Trap: Activate only when cards you control, other than this card, are destroyed by the effect of an opponent's Spell or Trap Card. Send the top 5 cards of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard], which can be activated when another card he controls is destroyed by an effect of an opponent's spell or trap card. Its activation will be valid if Bewitching Tricorrole is destroyed by the effect of Speed World 2. I will force Yusei to discard 5 cards in his deck to the graveyard. Then, Yusei's 4 cards (5-1: drawn in this turn) currently left in his deck will be all gone.

According to Breo's memory, Yusei's possibility to draw a monster card is 50%. Breo rushes Yusei to make a decision what to do. Seeing Breo, Yusei believes that Breo should be reading through his next play. If he goes on at this rate, he will certainly move into Breo's game. Meanwhile, Yusei is passing the pit and watching over his friends. They are all cheering him.
Note: In a real game, a claim that a player who has good memory can play a deck-destruction deck well may be true. Normally, cards sent to the graveyard can be seen by both players. If the player of this deck remembers what is sent from the opponent's deck to the graveyard, he can gain much advantage as he knows what can be expected in the remaining deck. |
Yusei is aware that there is the only chance left for him to win. He decides to gamble by drawing a card and applying an effect of Bewitching Tricorrole based on what he can get. His decision surprises Jean and Breo very much. Yusei draws and reveals it. It is a monster card, Junk Synchron. Breo looks very shocked by that Yusei still could draw a monster card out of 4 cards left in his deck.
According to the effect of Bewitching Tricorrole, Yusei can add Junk Synchron to his hand and place 1 card back to his deck. He decides to place Scrap-Iron Scarecrow on hand back to the top of his deck. Still in the first main phase, Yusei summons [Junk Synchron - 3/1300/500: When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower monster in your Graveyard in face-up defense mode. Any effects of an Effect Monster Special Summoned by this effect are negated] to the field in attack position. Seeing a tuner monster, Breo can expect that Yusei is going to do a synchro summon.
Yusei tunes Junk Synchron into Card Breaker and Dash Warrior on the field. "Clustering fighting souls will awaken a howling evil god! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Smash it, Junk Destroyer!," he says and synchro summons [Junk Destroyer - 8/2600/2500: When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can select and destroy a number of cards on the field equal to a number of non-Tuner monsters used as a Synchro Material for the Synchro Summon of this card] to the field in attack position.

Yusei activates the monster effect, "Tidal Energy!," of Junk Destroyer at this moment. When it is synchro summoned, it can destroy a number of cards on the field equal to a number of non-tuner monsters used to synchro summon it. Junk Destroyer uses 2 non-tuner monsters, Dash Warrior and Card Breaker, in the synchro summon, so Yusei can destroy up to 2 cards on the field. He selects to destroy Bewitching Tricorrole and another face-down card, Destruction Trigger. Big tidal wipes 2 cards from Breo's field.
Crow has a big smile at this moment. If the attack of Junk Destroyer can get through, Yusei will win. Lua and Luca cheer Yusei to move on out loud. Yusei moves to battle phase, declaring a direct attack of Junk Destroyer. Breo can't allow himself to end up like this. He opens the last face-down trap card on the field [Damage Lance - Normal Trap: Activate only when an opponent's monster with 2000 or more ATK attacks you directly. During Damage Calculation, that monster loses 1000 ATK. Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent].

According to its effect, when Breo receives a direct attack from a monster with 2000 ATK or more, that monster will lose 1000 ATK during the battle and 1000 damage will be inflicted to the opponent. Thus, the ATK of Junk Destroyer drops to 1600 (2600-1000). Although Yusei receives such a pressure and his LP drops to 1000 (2000-1000), he persists and keeps on the attack of Junk Destroyer, "Destroy Knuckle!."
This strike finally reduces Breo's LP to 0 (1500-1600). Smoke flies off his D-Wheel as a sign of defeat. Lua and Luck jump excitedly to the victory of Yusei. Crow is glad to see that there is only one wheeler left. Aki however looks more worried. Although Yusei wins, he has only 1000 LP left along with 4 cards left in his deck.

Fourth Duel - End
|
| EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2 |
In the medical room, Carly, Stephanie, Mikage, and Jack are watching Yusei's duel on TV. Carly wonders what type of duel Jean the last wheeler is. It is clear to Jack that Jean is the leader of the Unicorn Team. Also, Jack believes that the one who sets up the whole strategy for the team is Jean. Carly is uncertain whether this means Jean is stronger than Andore and Breo. Jack nods his head as he is thinking so. He looks at Yusei and gets concerned about him. He wonders how Yusei will fight with this type of person when he has only 4 cards left in his deck.
Meanwhile, Breo is returning to the pit where Jean is waiting for him there. He stops at the line, apologizes Jean for being beaten up, and transfers the team's sign to him. Andore standing nearby his teammates comments that Yusei seems to have good card playing sense as well. Breo says that it isn't what Yusei all has. He feels that Yusei has something else beyond it. It's something that can't be understood merely by analyzing the data.

Hearing something extraordinary about Yusei, Jean looks up a telescreen displaying Yusei riding in the field. He accepts that Yusei is the first opponent who has been able to fight the Unicorn Team this far. Anyway, Yusei has only 4 cards left in his deck. Jean thus believes that Yusei has no chance to win. It's his job to make it. Jean puts on his helmet and takes off.
MC describes that Jean the last wheeler of the Unicorn Team finally goes into the field. Yusei could defeat 2 members of the Unicorn Team but he has only 1000 LP and 4 cards left in his deck. It's interesting how he can get off this pinch against Jean. Jean is now riding after Yusei in the riding field. He expresses his impression that Yusei could make him come out like this. Yusei is responding Jean through internal communicator on his D-Wheel. He asks whether Jean is truly the one who sets up this whole strategy. Jean accepts that he does.
Yusei asks whether Jean means that the battle truly had happened since the practice match between him and Andore back then (episode 97, 98). Jean smiles and accepts all claims. He explains that it's a part of the team strategy. Anyway, Yusei doesn't look mad but smiles. He feels that Jean is very amazing. Jean is stunned after hearing such a comment. Yusei explains that, before they fought them, he has never thought that a team fight would be deep and fun like this. Yusei thus feels very happy to fight them.

Note: In episode 99, Jean walked to greet Yusei and Crow before Jack's duel. He told them that the battle had already started. Back then, nobody was aware what Jean truly meant. It means that Jean had set up the team strategy and started the battle since the practice match between Yusei and Andore. He tried to make the 5D'S team understand that Andore played a power deck so that the 5D'S team sent Jack to be the first wheeler. |
Jean is surprised by hearing that Yusei is enjoying at the situation like this. He thinks that what Breo earlier said may be true. Yusei may have something that other duelists don't have. Anyway, Jean can't allow his team to be defeated. It's also for Andore and Breo who used all of their power for the team. At the same time, Jean is looking at both of them sitting at the pit while passing them. Originally, each of them was not individually strong.
Back then, Andore was dueling a man in a parking lot while Jean was hiding himself and observing the duel. Andore had 1000 LP and a set-up card on the field. His opponent had [Command Knight - 4/1200/1900: While at least 1 other monster exists on your side of the field, your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target. Also, increase the ATK of all Warrior-Type monsters on your side of the field by 400 points] on the field and declared its direct attack toward Andore. Andore got the direct hit, and his LP dropped to 0 (1000-1200).
His opponent got excited to the reversal of the game. Andore collapsed on his knee. His opponent suggested Andore have better practice and called him a genius boy. He laughed out loud before walking away. Andore got up and looked mad. Jean walked into Andore and picked up the set-up card from his duel disk. Seeing the card, he asked why Andore had to lose on purpose as he always did. The card was [Magic Cylinder - Normal Trap: Negate the attack of 1 monster your opponent controls and inflict damage to your opponent equal to its ATK]. If Andore had activated it, he would have been able to counter the strike of Command Knight.
Andore looked serious but didn't give him an answer. Jean said that when one was about to win, he could see his opponent's regret and sorrow when his opponent was defeated. It's what Andore had been doing. Jean commented that it was a bad idea not to stick to his own winning and to be defeated after all. Andore turned his face away as he had already understood everything Jean wanted to lecture him. Jean said that he understood Andore well because he was also the same. His words made Andore quickly turn to him.
Jean asked whether Andore would like to fight along with him. If they formed a team, they no longer had to have an individual fight. It would be a duel that had to win for the team. Andore looked stunned about the concept of the victory for the team. Jean convinced him that a team was only for it. Thinking about it now, he believes that as long as there are teammates, he doesn't need to compromise in a duel and sticks to victory.
Jean tells Yusei that no matter how much his team struggles, the winner will be the Unicorn Team. He will show him a true fight of a team game. Both Jean and Yusei then official declare their last duel.

The earlier ends in Yusei's turn, so it's now Jean's turn and he draws a card. 5 Speed Counters left by Breo are transferred to Jean. In
his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added only to Jean's side as Yusei has 12 SPCs at maximum. Jean has 6 SPCs (5+1) while Yusei has 12 SPCs. Jean summons [Trident Warrior - 4/1800/1200: When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower monster from your hand] to the field in attack position.
When Trident Warrior is summoned successfully, a monster with level 3 or lower can be special summoned from his hand. Jean thus special summon a tuner monster [Delta Fly - 3/1500: Once per turn, you can select 1 monster you control besides this card and increase its Level by 1] from his hand to the field in attack position. He activates the monster effect of Delta Fly. Once per turn, a level of 1 monster on his field can increase by 1. Jean decides to apply this effect to Trident Warrior, having its level increase to 5 (4+1).

Jean tunes Delta Fly into Trident Warrior. "Galloping in the heavens like thunder, going through the pitch-black sky, this lightning will strike the Earth and incinerate it! Synchro Summon! Shine, Lightning Tricorn!," he says and synchro summons [Lightning Tricorn - 8/2800/2000: When this card is destroyed by your opponent, Select and Special Summon 1 "Thunder Unicorn" or "Voltic Bicorn" from your Graveyard] to the field in attack position.
Yusei can expect what to come. Jean moves to battle phase, declaring an attack of Lightning Tricorn toward Junk Destroyer. Lua and Luca are very surprised by that a synchro summon was done and a strike was declared instantly. Aki looks very worried about yusei while Crow just hopes that Yusei is going to do something.
Yusei activates the monster effect of Shield Warrior in the graveyard at this moment. By removing Shield Warrior in the graveyard from play, he can save Junk Destroyer from being destroyed. Jean claims that Yusei still has to receive damage. Yusei's LP drops to 800 (1000+2600-2800) as a result of the battle. Yusei tells Jean that he could be saved because of help from Jean's teammate which sent Shield Warrior to the graveyard.
Jean doubts whether it would be true, stunning Yusei very much. He hopes Yusei isn't thinking that he doesn't have a Speed Spell card on hand now. Jean activates the effect of Speed World 2, showing [Speed Spell - Tyrant Force - Normal Spell: Activate only when you have 10 Speed Counters. Cards you control cannot be destroyed this turn. When an opponent's card is destroyed this turn, inflict 300 damage to your opponent] on his hand. According to its effect, he removes 4 SPCs to inflict 800 damage for each speed spell card on hand to Yusei.

Jean rides backward and turns a big corn at the edge of his D-Wheel toward Yusei. The big corn charges itself and prepares to inflict 800 damage to him. In the medical room, everyone is getting shocked. The ladies are afraid that if this damage gets through, Yusei's LP will be all gone. Jack looks very nervous about the outcome.
 |
Damage Eater
Effect Monster Card |
Jean tells Yusei to take it before lighting is released from the corn of his D-Wheel. At this moment, Yusei activates the monster effect of [Damage Eater - 2/100/800: Activate by removing from play this card in your Graveyard and 1 card in your hand, when your opponent activates the effect of Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster that inflicts damage. That effect becomes an effect that increases Life Points. This effect can only be activated during your opponent's turn]. By removing Damage Eater and a card on his hand from play, he can negate an effect damage and gain LP equal to the same amount. Yusei's LP thus increases to 1600 (800+800).
Jean looks very annoyed before setting 2 face-down cards, Surging Regeneration and Peace of Land. Breo sees that Yusei could cleverly use monster's effects from the graveyard. It is a widely known truth to Jean that Yusei can fight in all circumstances. Thus, it could be expected that Yusei could make it like that (He means Yusei plays something beyond imagination by applying monster effects from the graveyard). Jean ends his turn at this point.

Yusei calls for his turn and draws a card (The drawn card is Scrap-Iron Scarecrow placed to the top of his deck by the effect of Bewitching Tricorrole in the 20th turn). In
his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added only to Jean's side as Yusei has 12 SPCs at maximum. Jean has 3 SPCs (2+1) while Yusei has 12 SPCs. Yusei activates the effect of Speed World 2. Removing 10 SPCs, he destroys Lightning Tricorn on Jean's field.
Yusei quickly moves to battle phase, declaring a direct attack of Junk Destroyer, "Destroy Knuckle!," toward Jean. Jean opens his face-down trap card [Surging Regeneration ~ Hadou Saisei - Normal Trap: Activate only when an opponent's Synchro Monster attack directly. Halve that damage. Then, 1 Synchro Monster in your Graveyard with the same Level as the attacking monster is Special Summoned]. A barrier appears to protect Jean from Junk Destroyer's attack.
According to the effect of this trap, when a synchro monster attacks directly, its battle damage is halved. Thus, Jean's LP drops to 2700 (4000-2600/2). Also, Surging Regeneration allows him to special summon a synchro monster with the same level as the attacking synchro monster's from his graveyard. Jean thus calls back Lightning Tricorn from his graveyard to the field in attack position.
In Yusei's second main phase, he normal summons [Road Runner - 1/300/300: This card is not destroyed as a result of battle when this card battles with a monster with an ATK of 1900 or more] to the field in defense position. Road Runner can't be destroyed by a monster with 1900 ATK or higher. He ends his turn at this point. Aki is concerned by that Yusei has only 3 cards left in his deck. Crow is afraid that it won't be enough at this rate.

Jean summons [Rhinotaurus - 4/1800: This card can attack once again in a row during a Battle Phase in which 2 or more monsters your opponent controls have been destroyed by battle] to the field in attack position. He quickly moves to battle phase, declaring an attack of Lightning Tricorn to destroy Junk Destroyer. This strike drops Yusei's LP to 1400 (1600+2600-2800).

Jean's move hasn't done yet. He continues by an attack of Rhinotaurus (1800 ATK) to destroy Road Runner, which can't be destroyed only by a monster with 1900 ATK or more. Lua sees that Yusei could bear it somehow. Anyway, Luca is concerned as Yusei's LP was still written off. Jean smiles as these haven't been all of his moves. He activates the monster effect of Rhinotaurus. In the turn 2 monsters on the opponent's field are destroyed, Rhinotaurus can attack 1 more time in the same battle phase.
Yusei is very stunned as he has only 1400 LP left. Jean hopes that this will be the end. He declares a direct attack of Rhinotaurus toward Yusei. Rhinotaurus jumps into the mid air before moving down quickly toward him. It looks pretty bad to everyone as Rhinotaurus' strike is about to reach Yusei.
