EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1

In a rest land near the sea, Crow is standing in front of a grave of [Robert Pearson]. It has been quick as time has passed for 3 years. Crow reminds himself of what happened 3 years ago. He was running into a burning building on a hill. He noticed a fire lamp on the floor and Pearson's body getting stuck in ruins. Crow quickly ran into him and told his friend that he was going to save him soon. However, fire got stronger and made him more difficult to do so.

Pearson still had consciousness, calling for Crow. Crow asked Pearson what happened and how things turned out like this. Pearson said that it was not Crow's business but was his own problem. More importantly, he would like Crow to take care of his Black Bird. Pearson used his last power to throw his duel disk to Crow. Crow noticed Black Bird D-Wheel parking nearby. Before passing away, Pearson hoped that Crow would take care of the children for him. Fire got stronger and burnt everything. The building finally collapsed, but Crow could get out safely. Crow and many children were looking at the ruins after the fire. Pearson's friend, [Bolger], put his hand on Crow's shoulder as he understood how Crow felt for this loss.

Crow is now on Black Bird originally inherited from Pearson. It's 8.57 AM in the morning. He starts the engine, but the machine shows an error message on screen. Crow thinks that Bruno might do something weird to his machine again. He isn't sure whether Bruno fixed or broke it. Crow tries to start again, and it works. He turns to the grave and says goodbye to Pearson that he will come back for him again. He then takes off and leaves the graveyard.

At the Poppo Time's garage, Bruno is checking Crow's Black Bird D-Wheel and finding that it's working weirdly. While checking, he finds an error popping on screen. Yusei walks in and asks him whether there is something wrong. Bruno points Yusei to look at a strange circuit captured by the system. He thinks that it is involved with a part. Yusei notices something on screen, points to it, and asks Bruno what it is.

Meanwhile, Crow is entering the garage. Seeing Yusei and Bruno working on his D-Wheel, he quickly runs into them and asks what they are doing with his Black Bird. Bruno explains that when he was adjusting the program, he found a strange circuit. Crow becomes surprised and looks on screen with them. Bruno says that he can't access from this point on by some reasons.

Crow doesn't look much worried about it and asks people be more careful and not break it. Without Black Bird, he can't work (his delivery job). Yusei understands Crow well and tells him not to be worried. They definitely won't overdo it. Bruno suggests that they investigate this problem further, and Yusei agrees to go with him. Crow is tired after seeing that Yusei goes along with Bruno and ignores his concern.

Ushio and Mikage then enter the garage. Ushio asks Crow to go with him for a min. 3 of them get out and talk in the front yard. Crow asks what business they have with him. Ushio tells him that his business is with Robert Pearson. Crow is surprised by that they know Pearson. Ushio is more surprised by that Crow thinks he has no idea about this guy. His former jurisdiction was Satellite, so it's common that he would know any story that happened there. Crow changes the topic and asks again what they have this time.

Mikage gets to the point that they have something to ask about Pearson's death. Before the incident happened to him, he had appeared to duel with someone. Mikage gives Crow a picture of a card Pearson's opponent used at that time. Ushio says that he is looking for a guy who uses it and asks whether Crow has any idea. The card is a synchro monster named [Blood Mephist]. Crow is afraid that he has never seen it before. Ushio feels disappointed that even Crow still doesn't have any idea.

Mikage explains that this story has been a while. There happened when cards that hold effects other than perception or known effect were developed. There were dangerous cards that can inflict actual damage to players. Crow looks confused by hearing of actual damage. Mikage says that the development was definitely discontinued. However, several cards that were released during the trial manufacturing stage. Blood Mephist is one of them.

Crow understands that Pearson was taken down by this card's effect. He imagines when Pearson dueled someone who synchro summoned this monster and got strike from it. Pearson was knocked down and broke a lamp that caused fire by accident. Ushio tells Crow that there are a few number of cards released. Thus, he believes that if they can identity the owner of Blood Memphis, they will know the one who killed him. He even thinks that Crow may have some idea. Crow looks at the card but still can't figure out.

At the same time, Jack is having a drink at Cafe La Geen while Stephanie is standing nearby. He is very impressed by such a great smell and says that it's perfect time of supreme bliss. Stephanie looks shy and tries to talk to Jack (She has tried to talk to Jack since episode 69 but never succeed). Crow then rides Jack's Wheel of Fortune and stops in front of the cafe. He tells Jack that he wants to borrow his D-Wheel before taking off without hearing Jack's permission (Crow's D-Wheel is under maintenance by Yusei and Bruno).

Jack looks very mad to see that Crow took away his Wheel of Fortune. He yells and asks what Crow intends to do with it. Stephanie walks into Jack and tries to call his attention. Jack isn't in a mood to talk to her now. He hits a cup on the table and asks her aggressively what she wants. Stephanie thus says no more and apologizes. She again fails to initiate her conversation with Jack.

Crow is now riding Wheel of Fortune on a highway. One thing he didn't tell Ushio and Mikage is Pearson's close friend, Bolger. Crow expects that Bolger may know something about the card. He parks at a giant building in the mid town where WRGP commercials are all around. A sponsor of this event is [The World D-Wheel Maker - Bolger & Company] that develops a new model of D-Wheel with new style of riding duel and high acceleration named "PXV-3A". The picture of PXV-3A is on commercial screen everywhere. Crow walks into the building to meet Bolger.

Meanwhile, Bolger is on a car going back to his company. He thinks about a business he has just had. Earlier, Bolger met a Chinese trader who was examining Witch of the Black Forest card. He asked how this first-edition card was. The trader was impressed by the president of Bolger and Company. Besides this card, there were many of them in a box and they were all amazing cards. Bolger asked whether these were sufficient for a finance.

The trader laughed. Although these were great cards, but their level or value was still not enough. However, it would be a different if Bolger had got a legendary card, Black Feather Dragon. Bolger is nervous after his business failed. He can't stop thinking about Black Feather Dragon. When his car returns to the company, Crow is carried by 2 securities taking him out of the building. He tells them to let him go.

The securities throw him away. Crow says that he just wants to meet Bolger. The security couldn't allow him to meet the president without proper appointment. Bolger gets off the car and tells the securities that he is fine with this person. Crow looks up and sees Bolger standing behind. Bolger says that Crow is his close friend. Crow is glad to see Bolger, and Bolger greets him that they haven't met for a long time.

Bolger and Crow are talking in a common room. Bolger apologizes Crow for any inconvenience as he didn't know that he would be coming. He asks whether Crow wants something drink. Crow says that he is fine. He looks at various pictures in the room as it's true along with many stories he has heard. He is very impressed as this great success and hope could be expected from the number one D-Wheel maker of the world.

Bolger tells him that a test course for his new D-Wheel has just been completed. People at the factory worked very hard, so he is looking forward to having fun with it. Crow looks at a picture with Bolger and many different-age workers. He then walks into Bolger drinking at a counter. Bolger greets him again that they haven't met for a while. Crow calls that it has been 3 years.

Both recall the tragedy that happened 3 years ago. Crow says that he actually came for this as they may be able to figure out the one who killed Pearson. He explains that before Pearson was killed, he had dueled someone. They would be able to figure out the card his opponent used at that time. Crow thinks that Bolger may have some idea about it. He takes out the picture of Blood Memphis and shows it to Bolger.

Bolger is very stunned by seeing the picture. Seeing his reaction, Crow believes that Bolger must know something. He would like Bolger to tell him who did kill Pearson. Bolger walks away from the counter, turns to Crow, and suggests him forget about it. He asks what the point to search for the criminal is now. Although Crow does so, Pearson may not be happy. Bolger puts his hands on Crow's shoulders and changes the topic by asking whether Crow is interested in working in his factory.

Crow is more surprised by whether Bolger is serious about this. He hardly believes that Bolger would say this and even told him to forget about Pearson. He looks at the pictures of Bolger's successful days on the wall and understands everything. Indeed, the great president like Bolger doesn't have time to be related with former issues. Crow thinks that he is stupid to come and ask Bolger. It's bothering.

Crow walks away. When he is about to open the door, Bolger calls him. Crow pauses and turns back to Bolger. Hearing Crow saying this much, Bolger agrees to tell him. However, it is on one condition that Crow has to beat him in a duel. Crow looks surprised. Bolger clarifies that he will tell him if Crow can defeat him. Nevertheless, if Bolger wins, Crow must give him Black Feather Dragon.

Crow thinks that Bolger is talking about a synchro monster, Black Feather Dragon, that Pearson used. He understands that this card was on fire at that time. Bolger asks Crow not try to hide it. He knows well that Pearson had entrusted his Black Bird and Black Feather Dragon to Crow before he died. Crow asks what Bolger is talking about and he totally has no idea about Black Feather Dragon.

To be honest, Bolger tells Crow the truth about a current trouble of financing. At this rate, his factory will be shut down. However, if he has Black Feather Dragon, he can get a finance. Crow looks confused when Bolger is talking about finance. Bolger knows what Crow wants to say by seeing his face. He thinks that Crow can't forgive him for using the card Pearson left behind in a finance. If Crow wants him to say, Bolger would like to say something. Pearson is his close friend and might be thinking about the same thing.

Crow is surprised by hearing such a call before turning back to look at the pictures on the wall. Bolger would like Crow to think carefully whether Pearson would desire this or not. Also, if Crow would like to know, he can challenge Bolger into a duel. The place is his company's test course. Bolger points to the picture of the test course's location. Crow looks very nervous but hasn't given any answer yet.

EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2

Yusei, Crow, and Jack are now at their old home. Jack and Yusei are playing with the children while Crow is staying away and looking at the picture of Blood Mephist. Yusei walks into Crow and thinks that Crow may be thinking about Pearson. He picks up the picture and looks at it. Crow explains that Pearson is his close friend who had entrusted Black Bird to him before he died. It happened right after Kiryu had been arrested.

After Satellite collapsed, Crow who lost his goal lived aimlessly everyday. On a rainny day, he was in a cottage while some kids were playing cards. They heard bike sound and saw a man falling on the ground. The man was a father of a boy in the cottage. The boy quickly ran out for his dad. Two men stepped down from a van, threw some money, and said that it's a reward for carrying this man back here.

Crow got mad and told them not to screw him up. He ran fast to charge those two men but got hit and kicked back. One of them warned a Satellite scum like Crow not to be too full of himself. When both of them were about to leave, Bolger and Pearson were riding their D-Wheels toward them. At that time, Crow didn't have any idea who these guys were.

Bolger and Pearson stepped in front of the two men who realized that they were being challenged. Four of them thus approached into a duel. Bolger summoned White Warrior - Hail the Iron Hammer and declared an attack. Pearson activated trap card, Shadow Dance. Above Pearson were an army of his Black Feather monsters. Their performance stunned Crow and the children very much. Eventually, Pearson synchro summoned Black Feather Dragon to the field, dropping the opponents' LP to 0 immediately.

The 2 men quickly ran into the van and got away. That's the first time Crow had met Pearson. Like Crow, Pearson gathered the kids on Satellite who had trouble and took care of them. At his home in a small cottage on a hill, he had the kids remember work so that they could realize their true potential. Crow remembered it well. The kids were learning how to fix a duel disk, and Crow was helping Pearson with the activity. Bolger was also there.

Pearson put a plan of a D-Wheel on board, exciting Crow and Bolger very much. Crow had to accept that Pearson gave his will to live again. They enjoyed developing D-Wheels with Pearson whose engine of Satellite's development startled the city group. Anyway, on a day, there was fire at the cottage of Pearson. Crow ran into it and met Pearson stuck in ruins. He was trying to save him, but fire was too strong for him to get in. Pearson asked Crow to take care of the kids. He had entrusted his Black Bird to Crow before he passed away.

That's the story how Crow could obtain Black Bird and own Black Feather deck. Crow tells Yusei that he who lost Pearson had no idea what to do at that time. He could only make children be happy by stolen cards. That made him being chased by the securities. Crow accepts that Bolger is great. Bolger succeeded Pearson's will and started a D-Wheel factory in the old Satellite area. After all, whatever Crow did might be merely in atonement for one's sins. He doesn't think that he carried out Pearson's will at all.

Hearing the whole story, Yusei totally disagrees. He believes that Crow has succeeded Pearson's will nicely. Crow is surprised and looks up. Meanwhile, the kids staying with Jack begin to call him. They ask what Crow has been doing and rush him to come and play with them. Yusei tells Crow to look at those kids' faces. He asks whether Crow isn't the one who gave smiling face of will to those kids.

Crow is stunned and can't say anything. Yusei tells him that there is nothing Crow needs to be ashamed. If Crow thinks that it is the right thing to do, he had better follow that path. Hearing so, Crow has finally made a decision. He last helps Bruno fix his D-Wheel for a match with Bolger. Jack is surprised by hearing of this settlement. He wonders because Black Feather Dragon wasn't entrusted to Crow. Yusei understands it, but this Crow's way of an answer. Jack gets it, so he decides to be involved by giving his hands.

At the test course of Bolger's company, Crow is ready on his Black Bird while Bolger is on a new D-Wheel recently developed by his company, PXV-3A. Yusei and Jack are in an observation deck. Bolger asks again whether Crow is truly fine with this. Crow confirms his answer. He decides to carry on Pearson's will by his own way. Bolger is fine with it and tells Crow to settle this down. Both stand by and set up [Speed World 2 - Field Spell: When you play a Magic card other than a Magic card with "Speed Spell" in its name, you receive 2000 points of damage. Both player's, during their Standby Phases, place 1 Speed Counter for themselves on this card. (A maximum of 12 for each player.) By removing a number of Speed Counter placed from your Speed World, you can activate one of following effects. 4: Inflict 800 Damage to your opponent for each "Speed Spell" Card in your hand. 7: Draw 1 card from your deck. 10: Destroy 1 card on the field].

The theme is changed to Speed World, and a digital begins to count down. Both call, "Riding Duel, Acceleration!," for a start. They take off probably at the same time. However, Bolger boosts his engine and accelerates by incredible speed. Jack, Yusei, and Crow are very surprised by such a power. Crow realizes that it could be expected from the top model of D-Wheels. He accelerates the engine of Black Bird, chasing up Bolger.

Both are taking a corner. The one who gets it first will get the first turn as a common rule. PXV-3A of Bolger can accelerate while taking a corner, so he clearly leads Crow. Bolger asks for the first turn as he is the winner of taking the first corner.

1st Turn - Bolger

Bolger's SPCs 0
Crow's SPCs 0

Bolger calls for his first turn and draws a card. According to the effect of Speed World 2, no Speed Counter increases in the first turn of the game. Thus, a number of SPCs is 0 for both. Bolger summons [White Warrior - Fog the Treasured Shield ~ WW (White Warrior) - Houjun No Fog - 4/300/2000: When a White Warrior monster you control attacks the opponent directly and inflicts Battle Damage, destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on your opponent's side of the field] to the field in defense position. Setting 2 face-down cards, he ends his turn.

2nd Turn - Crow

Bolger's SPCs 1
Crow's SPCs 1

It's now Crow's turn, and he draws a card. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. They result in 1 SPC (1+0) evenly. When there is a monster on the opponent's side of the field and none on his field, Crow can normal summon [Black Feather - Sirocco the Dawn ~ BF (Black Feather) - Akatsuki No Sirocco - 5/2000/900: If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Normal Summon or Set this card without Tributing. Once per turn, you can select 1 face-up "Black Feather" monster you control. It gains ATK equal to the total ATK of all face-up "Blackwing" monsters on the field except itself. Monsters other than the selected monster cannot attack the turn you activate this effect] without release from his hand to the field in attack position.

Next, when there is a Black Feather monster on the field, Crow can special summon [Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast ~ BF (Black Feather) - Kuroyari No Blast - 4/1700/800: If you control a "Black Feather" monster other than "Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast", you can Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card attacks a monster in defense mode, if your attack power exceeds their defense power, inflict Battle Damage equal to the difference to your opponent's Life Points] from his hand to the field in attack position.

Following the monster effect of Black Feather Sirocco the Dawn, Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast can gain ATK by all attack power of other Black Feather monsters on the field. Besides Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast, Black Feather - Sirocco the Dawn is the only Black Feather monster. The ATK of Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast thus increases to 3700 (1700+2000). Jack gets excited because this attack power is now higher than the DEF of the opponent's monster.

Bolger doesn't look worried and calls that it's too simple. He opens his face-down continuous trap card [White Out - Continuous Trap: The effects of Monster cards your opponent controls, in their hand or in their Graveyards directed to Monster Cards your opponent controls, in their hand or in their Graveyards are negated], which can negate the effect of monsters on the opponent's field. Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast thus can't gain the ATK from Black Feather - Sirocco the Dawn, and its ATK drops to its original 1700 points.

Continuous Trap Card

If an individual monster can't become a treat by its own, power can emerge when more friends are called and they unite their power. That bond is a speciality of Black Feather deck. Thus, Bolger decides to tear that bond apart by White Out. By now, Black Feather monsters have been forced out or separated. As long as White Out is activated, Black Feather monsters can't rely on the power of their friends, neither nor lend power to their friends. Yusei is concerned that Crow is now in a bad spot. Crow does nothing else and ends his turn.

3rd Turn - Bolger

Bolger's SPCs 2
Crow's SPCs 2

A turn moves to Bolger and he draws a card. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. They result in 2 SPCs (1+1) evenly. Bolger normal summons [White Warrior - Hail the Iron Hammer ~ WW (White Warrior) - Tettsui No Hail - 4/1800/1600: When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, destroy 1 monster your opponent controls] to the field in attack position.

He next opens the last face-down trap card [Heaven's Arrorw - Continuous Trap: During the End Phase, when Monsters that where destroyed and sent to the Graveyard this turn, inflict 400 damage to your opponent for each monster]. At each end phase, damage equal to 400 will be inflicted to the opponent for each monster destroyed and sent to the graveyard in that turn. Crow is very stunned after hearing the effect.

White Warrior - Fog the Fortune
Effect Monster Card
Heaven's Arrorw
Continuous Trap Card

Bolger moves to battle phase, declaring an attack of White Warrior - Hail the Iron Hammer to destroy Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast. Crow's LP drops to 3900 (4000+1800-1700). Bolger activates the monster effect of White Warrior - Hail the Iron Hammer. When it can destroy a monster by battley, it can destroy a monster Crow controls. Black Feather - Sirocco the Dawn is thus destroyed by this monster effect.

At Bolger's end phase, Crow has to receive damage from the effect of Heaven's Arrow. Many spears are flying from the sky and piercing to Crow's body. Crow screams in pain, and his LP drops to 3100 (3900-400*2). Yusei sees that White Out cuts the bond among monsters while Heaven's Arrow inflicts damage. This is an Anti-Black-Feather deck.

Bolger tells Crow to bring it on and rushes him to run his turn. Crow looks very nervous, but the duel has just started.

To be continued...
