EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1

Earlier, Yusei declared an attack of Turret Warrior, "Revolver Shot!," to destroy Full Armor Orge. This strike reduced Lotten's LP to 1000 (2400+1600-3000). Lotten activated the monster effect of Full Armor Orge. When it is destroyed by battle, Gatling Orge can be special summoned from the graveyard. He thus called it back to the field in attack position. Yusei was surprised by seeing the return of Gatling Orge and ended his turn at this point.

Lotten reminded Yusei that he would have 4 SPCs in the next turn. Yusei who had already passed the safety line would be defeated if Lotten could draw a Speed Spell card. The effect of Speed World 2 can inflict 800 damage point to the opponent for each Speed Spell card on hand when a player removes 4 SPCs. Also, it would be the end if Lotten could draw a trap card. He could set it up and apply the effect of Gatling Orge to inflict 800 damage to Yusei.

Lotten called his next draw to be a fuse of dynamite. He placed his hand onto his deck, prepared to draw, and laughed. Yusei looked very concerned as this draw was about to determine his fate. Meanwhile, Kiryu, West, Nico, and the kids' father, [Sergio], were running away from chasing of the red-scarf men. Kiryu decided to fight not for his own but to save this family.

The red-scarf chasers are getting closer to Kiryu's tram and don't plan to let anyone getting away. One of them speeds up their D-Wheel. West calls Kiryu as the enemy is coming closer. Kiryu tells them not to be joking as he can't afford to be caught. He quickly grasps a brake to reduce speed and knock one of them out. A red-scarf man looks mad and calls to have the death god, Kiryu, pay back. He notices a shocking device on the neck of Sergio and gives a signal to his friend for an evil plan.

Note: As a reminder, Kiryu is called to be a death god at the Crash Town because he defeats many duelists and sends them to the mountain of hell.

Another red-scarf man activates a card to operate the shocking device on Sergio. Sergio screams in pain, worrying Nico and West very much. Kiryu turns back to him but can't help anything. West and Nico ask whether their father is hurt. Sergio tries to hang on and tells his kids that he is fine. Kiryu understands that it can't be true. He decides to jump off the tram, knocks the red-scarf man who controls the shocking device off the ride, and takes control his D-Wheel.

Kiryu quickly shuts down the activation of the shocking device to save Sergio. The 2 red-scarf chasers on a D-Wheel speed up and hit Kiryu against the walls. Kiryu loses his balance and falls off the D-Wheel. Nico grasps his hand on time, trying to take him up. At the same time, West is trying to brake the tram to save Kiryu.

The red-scarf men are chasing them closer. Nico alone can't hold Kiryu further, so West leaves the brake to pull his sister from falling off. Kiryu tells Nico that it is enough. Nico insists that she won't let her hand go no matter what. There is no way she will let Kiryu go. Kiryu can't argue anymore and accepts her help by trying to reach back. Sergio and West then help Nico pull Kiryu back into the tram safely.

Kiryu pants heavily and looks very tired. Everyone is worried and asks whether Kiryu is okay. Kiryu gets up, smiles, and thanks for their help. Sergio is about to thank Kiryu back for his help on shutting down the shocking device for him. Kiryu asks him to stop as he can't accept it. Because he kept winning, people had to experience something like this. Kiryu feels very upset to what he did to Sergio and other workers in the mountain. Sergio tells Kiryu that he also shares the same experience. Kiryu looks up quickly to hear the story.

Sergio tells his story that he who never did anything well found his way to the Crash Town along with Nico and West. He won a duel, making his kids very proud. Sergio was happy that he could show an image of a strong father to his kids; however, he realized that it was all fake strength. He was later defeated by a departure and taken to the mountain of hell, leaving their kids behind at the town.

Sergio understood well that this would turn out some day. He had first realized that he needed a place to die. Kiryu is surprised by hearing the same view of desire to death. Sergio says that any group coming to this town thinks more or less about desire. He heard a rumor coming to the mountain that there was a man who kept winning in that town. People thought this man was a death god, but Sergio didn't think so. Looking at Kiryu now, he is more convinced by that Kiryu has a strong will to live wherever it is a death place or not. Kiryu looks very stunned by hearing a differently positive view from Sergio.

On the other side, the duel between Yusei and Lotton is continued. Yusei has 800 LP left and Turret Warrior on the field. On the other hand, Lotten has 1000 LP and Gatling Orge on the field. It's now Lotten's turn.

5th Turn - Lotton

Lotten's SPCs 4
Yusei's SPCs 4

Lotten draws a card in his turn. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. Both end up with 4 SPCs (3+1) evenly. Yusei is concerned by that there are now 4 SPCs on both sides and he has already gone beyond safety line. If the card Lotten has just drawn is a trap or speed spell card, Yusei will be defeated immediately.

Note: If it is a trap card, Lotten can set it up and activate the monster effect of Gatling Orge to send the set-up card to the graveyard and inflict 800 damage to Yusei.

If it is a speed spell card, Lotten can activate the effect of Speed World 2 to remove 4 SPCs and inflict 800 damage to Yusei.

In either way, Yusei who has 800 LP left will be defeated. The only way for Yusei's survival is that the drawn card is a monster.

Yusei appears to have a big luck. Lotten shows the card he has just drawn that is a monster card. He decides to release Gatling Ogre to special summon [Big Cannon Ogre - 7/2400/2400: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. You can Special Summon this card by Releasing "Gatling Ogre" you control when "Full Armor Ogre" is in your Graveyard. Double all Battle Damage this card inflicts to your opponent. When this card is destroyed, Special Summon 1 "Full Armor Ogre" from your Graveyard] to the field in attack position.

Yusei is surprised by that Lotten chooses to release Gatling Ogre again, wondering whether this is a new strategy. Lotten tells him that there are multiple endings and they all belong to Yusei's bad ones. He explains that when there is Full Armor Ogre in the graveyard, Big Cannon Ogre can be special summoned by releasing Gatling Ogre on the field.

Yusei calls that Big Cannon Ogre has only 2400 ATK. Turret Warrior's 3000 ATK is clearly higher (1200+1800: a bonus from the ATK of Max Warrior released to summon it). Lotten doesn't care and he will surely do it. He moves to battle phase and declares an attack of Big Cannon Ogre toward Turret Warrior, surprising Yusei very much.

At this moment, Lotten activates the effect of [Skill Successor - Normal Trap: Select 1 face-up monster you control. It gains 400 ATK until the End Phase. You can remove from play this card in the Graveyard to give 1 face-up monster you control 800 ATK until the End Phase. This effect cannot be activated the turn this card is sent to the Graveyard, and can only be activated during your turn] in his graveyard.

Normal Trap Card

Note: Lotten sets up Skill Successor in the first turn and sends it from the field to the graveyard to activate the monster effect of Gatling Ogre and inflict damage to Yusei in the third turn.

Lotten can remove this trap in the graveyard from play to increase the ATK of Big Cannon Ogre on the field by 800 ATK until the end phase. The ATK of Big Cannon Ogre thus becomes 3200 (2400+800), which is high enough to crush down Yusei's monster. Lotten again declares an attack of Big Cannon Ogre, "Big Cannon Fire!," to destroy Turret Warrior.

Yusei is hit by a giant bullet dropped from Big Cannon Ogre. Lotten explains the monster effect of Big Cannon Ogre that it can double battle damage the opponent receives. Yusei's LP thus drops to 400 (800-2*[3000-3200]). In the end phase, Big Cannon Ogre's ATK turns back to its original 2400 ATK. Lotten ends his turn here.

Yusei thinks that even though he could make it, a fuse is still burning. He looks up front and hopes that speed and wind will give him strength.

EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2

Kiryu is now controlling a tram running on tracks. Sergio is holding his kids in the tram. They are still chased by the red-scarf men getting closer. Sergio looks up and sees split tunnels in the front. He tells Kiryu that if they can get through that point, they will be able to go outside. Kiryu feels some hope if they can hold on until then.

It isn't a joke for the red-scarf chasers. There is no way they will let Kiryu's group get away from the mountain. One of them inputs a console number, "108," into a remote controller to change the course of the rails. Instead of getting outside, the tram is now moving to another way and going deeper into the mountain. The rails are around a big hole in circle. The red-scarf man tells them that if they keep going like this, they will finally fall off the railroad tracks.

West is frightened when he sees a dead end. He is afraid that they will fall at this rate. Kiryu notices that before the dead end, there is a point changer nearby, which is used to change the tracks to the other direction away from the dead end. He thinks that if they can change the course at the point changer, they will be saved.

Sergio thinks that if he can break the console at the point changer, he will be able to change the course by a manual lever. He picks a piece of rock in the tram, keeps it into his cloth, and calls Kiryu. West and Nice wonder what their dad is going to do. Sergio tells Kiryu that he has a difficult favor for him. He would like him to take care of his two kids. Kiryu is surprised by such a decision.

Sergio says that he would like to show his best strength to his kids one more time. Kiryu yells at him and tells him not to be joking. He says that if Sergio would like to do so, he should do it when he is living. Sergio explains that he is fighting for living now. Seeing how Sergio is serious, Kiryu can't argue anymore.

Sergio waits until the tram is moving over the console and jumps off the tram, shocking Kiryu, West, and Nico. He can grasp a lever at the console before he falls off. The red-scarf chaser understands what Sergio is going to do, so he won't have him succeed. He puts a console number, "109," into the remote controller to lock it. Sergio is aware that the console is now locked, so he uses the rock he earlier picked up in the tram to break it.

The console is now broken, and the red-scarf man can no longer control it remotely. Sergio tries so hard to change the course of the rail manually by a lever. The red-scarf men can't allow him to do so. They again activate a card to operate a shocking device on Sergio's neck. Sergio screams in pain and loses power on the lever. He looks up and sees the tram carrying Kiryu and his kids coming closer. Nico and West call their dad out loud all the way.

Sergio holds himself up again, pushes the lever at his last power, and successfully changes the course of the trails. However, he loses the whole power and his grip on the lever. When he is about to fall down, he is able to hang himself by a hand on the platform. The tram is moving closer to him. Nico and West call their father. Sergio gives the kids his last words, asking them to keep on living.

Sergio then smiles for the last time. He finally loses his grip and falls into the deep mountain. Nico and West cry out loud, calling for their father. Kiryu is pretty shocked and looks very confused by how this could happen. The tram then moves away from the dead end and gets into the inner mountain again. The red-scarf men follower them closer. Kiryu decides not to run away anymore.

The rails bring them back into the mine. Kiryu gets off the tram, faces the 2 red-scarf chasers, and knocks them out. He then takes their vehicle and uses it to leave the mine along with Nico and West. Nico and West keep crying after the sacrifice of their dad. Kiryu tells them not to be crying. He explains that their father didn't show them his death. Rather, he showed his living will to protect them. Nico and West are still upset and keep crying.

Kiryu says that this will be his time to show them Kyosuke Kiryu's living will. The kids look up at Kiryu. Kiryu swears to protect them at all costs and tells them to hold their grip tightly. West and Nice smile and feel relieved after hearing those words. Kiryu then speeds up and moves faster to leave the mountain.

6th Turn - Yusei

Lotten's SPCs 5
Yusei's SPCs 5

It's now Yusei's turn and he draws a card. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. Both end up with 5 SPCs (4+1) evenly. Yusei smiles when he finally gets a speed spell card he wants. He calls that if one believes in speed, there is always a card that can do everything.

Yusei proves it by activating [Sp-Dead Synchro - Normal Spell: Activate when you have 5 or more Speed Counters. Select 1 Synchro Monster in your Extra Deck. Remove a Tuner Monster and a non-Tuner monster(s) that are required for its Synchro Summon in your Graveyard from play and Special Summon the selected Synchro Monster. (This Special Summon is treated as a Synchro Summon.) The Special Summoned monster is removed from play during the End Phase]. It requires at least 5 SPCs to be played, and Yusei has exact 5 SPCs to satisfy the condition.

This speed spell allows Yusei to do a synchro summon by removing synchro material monsters from his graveyard from play. He thus removes Road Runner and Quick Synchron in his graveyard from play, tuning Quick Synchron into Road Runner. "Clustering powers will form into a spear that pierces the earth! Become the its light shines upon! Synchro Summon, break apart, Drill Warrior!," Yusei says and synchro summons [Drill Warrior - 6/2400/2000: Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can halve the attack of this card to have it attack your opponent directly. You can discard 2 cards from your hand to remove this card from play. During your next Standby Phase after this was removed from play, you can Special Summon this card to your side Field and add 1 card from your Graveyard to your hand] to the field in attack position.

Note: Quick Synchron has an ability that can be used as a synchro material replacement for any "Synchron" monster. Yusei uses it in place of Drill Synchron to synchro summon Drill Warrior.

Drill Warrior

Yusei activates the monster effect of Drill Warrior. Reducing its ATK by half to 1200 (2400/2), he can have it attack Lotten directly. Lotten is very stunned. Yusei slides his D-Wheel on a side way and declares a direct attack of Drill Warrior, "Drill Shoot!," toward Lotten. Lotten activates a trap card [Dynamite Wall - Normal Trap: Activate when your opponent's monster attacks. Destroy that attacking monster and 1 monster you control. Then, by removing this card in your Graveyard from play when your opponent's monster attacks, remove from play that monster and all cards you control] in his graveyard.

Normal Trap Card

By removing Dynamite Wall in the graveyard from play when Yusei's monster attacks, Lotten can remove Yusei's attacking monster and all cards on his own field from play. Kiryu suddenly appears along with Nico and West on a stolen D-Wheel in an upper level. He interferes the riding duel, declaring that he is going to scatter that trap of Lotten. Yusei is surprised by seeing Kiryu here.

Kiryu jumps onto Lotten's D-Wheel and hits it against the walls. Lotten loses his balance and goes out of the course. Kiryu then goes after Yusei. Yusei sees Kiryu's face and smiles. Without any word, he realizes that Kiryu has finally come back. Lotten doesn't give up and chases after people. At this moment, Yusei sees light spotting from a front exit. They are very close to leave the mountain.

There is no way Lotten will have them leave the mountain. He expands his D-Wheel's legs to pass everyone and be in the front row and continues the game by activating the effect of Dynamite Wall. Dynamite Wall is removed in the graveyard from play, and all cards on the field including Drill Warrior are also removed along with it.

Lotten turns back to people and smiles. Not only all cards, he plans to blow everyone along and takes out a bomb. Lotten sets up a count-down clock on the bomb at 4 seconds and throws it back. Yusei is very surprised. The bomb explodes immediately. Everyone flies off the mountain and falls into the cliff. The riding duel is stopped at this moment without a result.

Note: The duel between Yusei and Lotten ends at this point without result. If the effect of Dynamite Wall works, Yusei just loses his Drill Warrior and Lotten has nothing on the field. They still have LP left, so it can't be concluded who is defeated at this rate.

Duel End

Kiryu is trying to reach Nico trying to reach him. However, they miss and fall in different ways. West loses his consciousness and drops the blue pendant of his father in the mid air. Kiryu and Yusei fall into the deeper cliff while Nico and West lose their consciousness on the ground. Lotten survives but seems injured. He wonders whether Kiryu and Yusei can survive after falling at this height. He chuckles and captures Nico and West back to the Crash Town.

In the morning, the red-scarf group of Malcolm is still sleeping after having a party for the whole night. Lotten comes back to the town with Nico and West captured on his D-Wheel. Malcolm wakes up and finds himself tied up on a table. Lotten is sitting on the same table, greeting his brother for his waking up. Barbara walks into Lotten and talks very friendly to him that Malcolm seemed to drink too much and have a lot of fun.

Malcolm looks confused by her act and doesn't understand what's going on. Barbara tells him that this town has already belonged to her. Malcolm gave the deed of the mine to Barbara and designated the name of this town to Barbara Town for her. Barbara shows a document that Malcolm signed as an evidence.

Malcolm is still very confused and asks what she is talking about. Barbara sits on Lotten's lap. Lotten clarifies that Barbara is actually his woman. Malcolm gets mad after knowing that Lotten and Barbara have betrayed him. Barbara kicks the table to knock Malcolm down. Lotten tells him that this town will be Lotten Town from now on. Malcolm doesn't plan to have things end up like this. However, he can't do anything. When he looks up, he sees himself surrounded by the red-scarf men. Lotten laughs out loud as these red-scarf people are all with him.

At the bottom of the cliff, Yusei and Kiryu appear to be safe. Both of them are trying to get up. Kiryu says that he couldn't do anything. He was protected by Yusei, Nico, West, and their father: however, he couldn't protect anyone. Yusei gets up and tells Kiryu that it isn't true. He thinks that Kiryu did save those kids, but Kiryu still thinks he couldn't help protecting them.

Note: There is a background song starting from these scenes on to the end of the episode. It is "You say...Ashita E" or "You say...at tomorrow" vocaled by La-Vie, the same vocalist of the opening song. This song is released in the same single album as the opening's. See further details in our opening song page.

Kiryu crosses his eyes to see the blue pendant dropped by West. He takes it and moves up with Yusei. Both of them are now standing in front of the duel-disk graves. Kiryu looks sad as he is back to this place again. He walks into a stake of a gun duel disk and places the blue pendant onto it. It now represents a grave of Sergio. Kiryu feels sorry to Sergio as he couldn't make it. He considers himself a corpse after all.

Then, something on a duel disk is moving. Yusei tells Kiryu that this duel disk is still alive. Kiryu stands up. He understands that people here and this place are telling him that this isn't a place for him to die. Kiryu smiles, takes back the blue pendant, and puts his arm into the gun duel disk. He raises the duel disk up and says that he will become a dead god once again and bring those people down to the true hell. Then, he swears to save Nico and West by himself.

Yusei tells Kiryu that he is going to fight along with him. Kiryu looks back at him and nods his head as an agreement. He asks Yusei to lend him his power and make him satisfied this time. Both are now standing side by side in front of the graves and looking toward the Crash Town.
