EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1

Yusei is riding his D-Wheel alone on a highway at night. He is aware that this speed is still not enough. He reminds himself of the Dark Glass who told him to go beyond his limit. He realizes that, in order to challenge a new limit, a new engine is truly needed.

Later at a restaurant at the security building, Yusei, Jack, and Crow are invited to have a dinner with Ushio and Mikage. Crow is enjoying eating while Yusei and Jack are sitting still and staring at Ushio and Mikage. Crow feels thankful for the meal. He doesn't know what's going on, enjoys eating alone, and suggests Yusei and Jack start eating. Jack goes straight to the point that it's doubtful. Mikage and Ushio cough at the same time as if Jack has been able to catch something quickly. Mikage asks what Atlus-Sama means.

Yusei tells them what Marsa always says. There is no simply value thing. People should appreciate those who give harsh words but should watch out those who give sweet words. Jack totally agrees with Yusei. There is no way the securities like Mikage and Ushio would treat them extravagantly without a back side. Ushio wonders what Jack is talking about. Jack asks whether they truly don't have anything on their back side. Ushio is afraid to say that there is something. The fact is that he has a favor to ask them.

As Jack has expected, they do have something to ask in exchange of this extravagant food. Mikage quickly explains that it isn't a big deal. Recently, there has been an amnesia man in their custody. They would like Jack, Crow, and Yusei to take care of this man for a while. Yusei asks why they have to do this job. Mikage explains that all facilities in Neo Domino City are now busy with crashing of sightseers and D-Wheelers. Thus, it should be good if Yusei and friends can help them this job for a while.

Jack tells them straight that their home garage isn't a hotel. Crow still eating notes that they don't have any room to take care of anyone. Ushio begs Yusei to accept it, but Yusei denies firmly. Mikage pleads Atlus-Sama to do it, but Jack also denies. Ushio bows and hopes that Crow will have a better answer, but Crow also denies. Ushio can't stand anymore and changes his attitude shortly. He asks whether people still want to reject his request after having high-class steak.

Crow is the only one holding silverware and can't argue Ushio's claim. He changes the topic by asking where the troublesome (amnesia) man is. Ushio is afraid that this man should have come for while and hasn't appeared yet. Mikage also looks disappointed. Crow smiles as the deal seems to be closed easier. It can't be helped if the troublesome man doesn't come. That means the deal should be over. Mikage and Ushio look at each other and know that they can't do anything.

After the dinner, Jack, Crow, and Yusei are walking in the parking lot. Crow says that it's very close. Mikage and Ushio almost succeeded to push a stranger to them. Jack blames Crow who ate very quick and made things more complicate. Crow gives an excuse that people never knew whether they would have a chance to go to this kind of restaurant again. That's why he took this chance to enjoy eating.

While people are walking to their parking D-Wheels, a mysterious man is getting impressed by Jack's Wheel of Fortune. He calls it to be a good boy as he is going to wipe some dirt. Once it's done, he says that it is beautiful now. Jack, Yusei, and Crow quickly run into the man. Jack asks aggressively what the man is doing to his D-Wheel. The man turns to Jack and looks stunned. His hand is still holding a sheet used to clean Jack's D-Wheel.

Jack understands that the man is a remnant of the thief group. He approaches into the man, gives him a punch, and knocks him out. Angry Jack tells the man not to get close to his D-Wheel again. This punch is payment for the man's current interference. Jack gets on his Wheel of Fortune and leaves quickly. Yusei tries to call him, but Jack gets away.

Jack rides very fast, passing Ushio and Mikage getting on their car on the other side. Seeing Jack rushing himself, Ushio wonders what's going on with him. Yusei is looking at the man knocked out by Jack and telling him to hang on. Crow suggests Yusei leave him, but Yusei can't do that. The man was severely punched, and his face is very red. Ushio and Mikage run into people, asking what's going on.

Crow explains that it isn't Jack's fault. It's because the mysterious man was trying to steal Jack's D-Wheel of Fortune. Crow points to the suspect, and Ushio and Mikage become very surprised. Mikage calls him [Bruno] and asks angrily what he is doing here. Bruno quickly bows and apologizes. Because the D-Wheel was very cool, he couldn't help touching it.

Listening to their conversation, Yusei and Crow realize that Bruno is the amnesia man whom Mikage and Ushio would like them to take care of in the earlier discussion. Crow is afraid that this is bad because the man in the request has finally appeared. Crow asks Yusei what they should do. Yusei is afraid that he has no answer although Crow asked him though.

Jack then rides back and quickly takes Bruno from everyone. He says that he is going to borrow this guy for a night. Crow looks at Yusei and doesn't understand what's going on. Yusei has no explanation and tells Crow to hurry to follow Jack. He gets on his D-Wheel and prepares to take off. Ushio calls Yusei, and Yusei tells him to leave the rest on them. He and Crow then take off together. Mikage and Ushio just look at one another and get confused. It's as if people have already accepted their request to take care of Bruno for a while.

Jack takes Bruno back to their home, the Poppo Time garage. Bruno is thrown to the floor. He looks scared and asks Jack to stop harming him. Jack looks very aggressive, and Crow can't stand asking what happened to him suddenly. Jack asks Bruno what he did to his Wheel of Fortune. Yusei asks Jack what he means by that. Jack explains that the power of his Wheel of Fortune has increased. Yusei is very stunned by hearing it.

Bruno explains that he just adjusted the data of the D-Wheel's computer a little bit. Crow hardly believes it. Yusei has been spending a lot of time to increase the power of their D-Wheels, but Bruno could do it in just a moment. That's what Jack could think of, so he would like to know what Bruno did. Yusei looks happy to hear it and changes his attitude shortly. He asks Bruno nicely whether he could tell them how he did it.

Bruno shows people the data of Wheel of Fortune and his analysis. He modifies timing of booster, and explains that it should slightly increase power. Yusei is amazed as he has never been aware of this method. Crow and Jack have no idea at all what they are talking about. Jack thinks that they shouldn't lower their guard. There is no guarantee that Bruno can be his friend.

Bruno says that this method can also be applied to Yusei's and Crow's D-Wheels. If he modifies the program, the power of their D-Wheels should be enhanced. Crow gets excited and wonders whether it can truly be done. Jack asks whether Crow has listened to his earlier words. Bruno turns to talk to Crow that he can do it, and Crow looks very happy. Jack looks tired as Crow didn't seem to listen to his warning at all.

Yusei changes the topic, asking about Bruno's identity. Bruno introduces his name to him. Without having people telling their names, he knows Yusei, Crow, and Jack well. Yusei knows Bruno's skills well now, and would like him to look at something that doesn't seem to work well. He opens the picture of a gear. Seeing the picture, Bruno recognizes immediately that it is the Mormetn Engine which uses a Planetary Particle.

Bruno asks whether it can create any wave. Yusei is afraid that it hasn't worked yet. Bruno thinks that they just have to make a program to control it, which is preferable way. The Mormetn engines of a D-Wheel have some difference in output by strength of composition; however, their basic structure is similar. Therefore, by a control program, speed can definitely be changed.

While Yusei is listening to Bruno's view carefully, Jack is complaining. He reminds Yusei that it is the design of their new engine, which is supposed to be a top secret. He isn't satisfied by that Yusei reveals it to a stranger like Bruno. Yusei asks whether Jack can shut his mouth up because they are having serious discussion. Jack becomes very stunned and doubts whether Yusei means that time of talking to him isn't worth.

Yusei doesn't care what Jack is talking and still pays attention to what Bruno is talking. Bruno points Yusei to look on screen and suggests that a method can be done to stabilize power. Jack realizes that Yusei completely ignores him. Crow walks into Jack and tells him to leave this job on Yusei. He understands that Yusei and Bruno are now talking about something very serious and important. Jack doesn't like that Crow is also on Bruno's side. He decides to let people do what they want and walks away with bad mood.

Yusei and Bruno are still discussing. Yusei argues that if a method is done, they will lose power. Bruno understands Yusei's point and suggests another method. Both listen to each other view and continue working together. Crow decides to leave them and lays himself on a sofa on an upper floor. He notices Yusei acting like a fish gaining water. Crow then yarns and falls asleep on the sofa.

Yusei and Bruno work together for the whole night until the next morning. The finally come up with a concept of the program. Bruno is very convinced by that it should work. Yusei thinks that it should be fine when they test it. He thanks Bruno because his opinion is very helpful. Bruno gives a compliment that it is because Yusei has solid basic plan in his mind and deserves to be Dr.Fudo's son.

Bruno gets to up to have a break with a cup of noodle. Yusei asks whether Bruno knows his father. Bruno tells him that Dr.Fudo's Mormetn is the foundation of all D-Wheel's engines. Everyone who loves D-Wheels always knows him. Bruno understands that Yusei's name is taken from [Planetary Gear] (Yusei = Planetary). Yusei thinks that it's just something similar, but Bruno thinks that it is a cool thing. While talking, Bruno is peeling a cellophane off the cup of noodle and dropping it into a nearby trash bin. He pours hot water into it and starts eating.

Both continue talking about the Planetary Gear, looking at its picture on screen. Bruno comments that the Planetary Gear has an interesting structure. One gears doesn't do anything. Many gears are connected to the center of the solar gear. Bruno doubts what the solar (central) gear linking them together is if they are one of the gears. Yusei smiles as an answer is clear to him. It's the duel monsters that make riding duel possible. On the top of that, there is a bond among him, Crow, and Jack.

Bruno enjoying eating noodle is impressed by such a completely wonderful structure of their relationship. Yusei changes a topic. He has heard from Mikage that Bruno has lost his memory. Bruno tells Yusei that when he was aware, he found himself washed up on the beach. He then finishes eating noodle and leaves an empty cup on the table.

Yusei wonders whether Bruno had an accident. Bruno is afraid that he couldn't remember anything at all. Anyway, when he works with D-Wheels or duels, he feels as if he can remember something. Yusei understands his situation and asks whether Bruno would like to stay here with them for a while if he doesn't mind. Bruno looks happy and asks whether it is fine.

Yusei tells Bruno that a new engine is necessary for the WRGP. Thus, he would like Bruno to help as much as he can. Bruno looks happy and smiles. If he is good for Yusei, he would like to become a gear that can grant their dream. Yusei thanks him, so does Bruno. Both shake their hands as a promise of cooperation.

Later, Bruno and Yusei are working together while Jack and Crow are looking bored and watching over them on a sofa. Lua and Luca run into the room to pay a visit. Lua asks Yusei to play with them, and Luca tells him that she has just figured out a new combo. Aki also appears and asks Yusei for help on Physics' problems. Crow tells them to be quiet, and Yusei doesn't seem to notice their friends coming at all.

Lua asks Crow who the man working with Yusei is. Jack explains that this man is a refuge entrusted to them by the Public Security Maintenance Bureau. Crow adds that Yusei now promoted this man to be a super machanic. Lua gets excited to hear such a big title. He wonders whether this super machanic man can help him improve his duel board. Crow answers by boring sound that it may be possible. He is afraid that the amount of Bruno's and Yusei's discussion has already gone beyond his talk with Yusei. Lua comments that they are like the ducks getting together. Luca corrects him that those words are used for a man and a woman. Lua laughs as he has just got it wrong.

Note: Lua calls them "おしどり夫婦" or "Oshidori Fuufu" which means loving couple or happily married couple who are always together. "Oshidori" refers to Mandarin ducks staying as a couple.

Aki doesn't seem happy, and Lua asks what's wrong with her. She turns back and says by cold sound that she is leaving. It seems to her that she is a bother here. Lua smiles and doubts whether Aki is just jealous. Aki turns to him and asks him to stop his kid habit of adult talk. She then walks downstairs without saying anything else. Lua notices that Big Sister Aki is truly angry.

Luca asks Crow and Jack whether it's fine to let it be like this. Jack turns his face, looks annoyed, and asks how he can know an answer. Crow is afraid that he doesn't know an answer, either. It's a windfall if Yusei and Bruno can find whatever can make them get close to completion of a new engine.

Yusei and Bruno work together very hard in front of their computers to develop a program for a new engine. Bruno feels very good about it and keeps moving on. Both finally finish creating a control program. Bruno gets excited to their success of this incredible program. He suggests them to have a sleep after working long hours. Yusei agrees and plans to install the program into a machine tomorrow. They both leave the room and turn off the light. In that night, while they are sleeping, there is a shadow of a mysterious man sneaking into the room. His target is at their computers.

EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2

At the following day, people are gathering and Jack is demanding explanation after they figure out that the data was stolen last night. Yusei and Bruno give an excuse that it can't be helped. Because they were very tired yesterday, they didn't do any backup. Jack thinks that Bruno is a thief as he has looked suspicious from the beginning. He grasps his cloth and yells at him. Bruno denies that it isn't him.

Yusei walks into the mid of their conflict, but Jack tells Yusei not to stop him as he is going to reveal the true identify of Bruno. Crow also walks in and asks Jack to stop. Jack isn't satisfied by seeing that his friends are on Bruno's side and are trying to protect him. Crow just wants to explain that if Bruno had been a true criminal, he should have run away right after he stole the data. A thief shouldn't make a scene or remain. Jack is afraid that he may be wrong, and Crow is right. He thus release Bruno. Crow then walks away without saying anything.

Jack asks whether Bruno can't create the program again. Bruno is afraid that it can't be done easily. In order to create a program, they have to do in live session. Its ad lib is also huge, so reproduction is barely possible. Jack doubts whether there isn't a way to search for a thief. Meanwhile, Crow is checking the computer table. He is afraid that the thief didn't leave any trail. He is looking for some fingerprint on the table but can't find anything.

Jack is more concerned by how they can find the thief. Bruno looks at a nearby table and notices that a cup of ramen is gone. Jack is heated up once he knows that his favorite cup ramen is gone. Bruno notices a piece of plastic in a trash bin. It may be an important trail, so he takes a clipper from a desk and uses it to pick the plastic up.

Bruno looks at the plastic and finds out the thief's fingerprint. He thinks that the thief might be eating a cup ramen while stealing the data. Jack is stunned, and Crow doesn't want to believe it. Bruno explains that when the thief couldn't open the cellophane (A type of plastic tape), he might take off his glove. He thinks about the moment he took off the cellophane tape to eat a ramen. It's so difficult that he had to use a plain hand.

Bruno and Yusei begin to analyze the data. Jack asks whether Yusei is serious to do it. Yusei is convinced by that they can get information about an identity of the thief if they hack into the security's database. Jack reminds him that the security's database is protected by strong firewall. If they make a mistake in hacking, they may be caught. Yusei says that if they can connect into the world's servers, it will take only 5 mins. In other words, they can succeed before they get caught in 5 mins.

Yusei asks whether Bruno can break into the security's system by 5 mins. Bruno isn't sure but he thinks that he may be able to do something. Yusei turns to Jack and asks whether Jack still wants to stop them. Jack acts big and holds his arms together. He decides to leave his fate on them. Bruno hopes Jack won't beat him if they fail. Jack says that he will certainly do so. Bruno turns to pay attention to the hacking. The system seems simply for him to open an access.

Both Crow and Jack don't understand at all, but they can see that it's something challenging. Bruno finally breaks into the security channel. The next destination of this hacking should be the database of the security. The picture on screen then shows that they are passing a channel to a duel field screen. Yusei realizes that this simulation duel is a checkmating duel.

Note: Yusei calls it "詰めデュエル" or "Tsume Duel" which means a "Checkmating Duel". It is like a duel challenge that you have to solve under provided conditions.

Bruno understands that the Public Security Maintenance Bureau uses this checkmating duel as a password to access into their database. Crow understands that if they can't solve it, they won't be able to go further. Yusei agrees. There are only 4 mins left, and they have to make it by this time. Bruno looks at the condition of the challenge on screen.

According to the monster effect of [Trogoedia - 10/?/?: You can Special Summon this card from your hand when you take Battle Damage . This card gains 600 ATK and DEF for each card in your hand. Once per turn, you can send 1 monster from your hand to the Graveyard to take control of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls with the same Level as the sent monster. Once per turn, you can select 1 monster in your Graveyard; this card's Level becomes the same as that monster's, until the End Phase], it gains 600 ATK for each card on hand. There are 6 cards on hand now, so its ATK becomes 3600 (600*6).

The challenge for this security system is that the player must win or end this game by this turn. Yusei first gives his view that an unknown set-up card on the opponent's field is suspicious. Crow doesn't seem to care and thinks that it should be good enough if they can make the opponent's LP become 0 in this turn. He would like people to leave this job on him and takes Bruno's seat.

Crow appears in the simulation and prepares to complete this challenge. He is very confident and thinks that an answer should be easy with Trogoedia (3600 ATK) on the field and Shooting Star Bow - Ceal on his hand. Crow decides to activate [Shooting Star Bow - Ceal ~ Ryuusei No Yumi Ceal - Equipment Spell: Decrease the ATK of a monster equipped with this card by 1000 points. A monster equipped with this card can attack your opponent's Life Points directly] and equip it with [Green Gadget - 4/1400/600: When you Normal Summon or Special Summon this card, you can add 1 "Red Gadget" from your Deck to your hand] on the opponent's field.

Shooting Star Bow - Ceal decreases the ATK of Green Gadget by 1000 to 400 (1400-1000). Crow thinks that this should be the right answer, moving into battle phase and declaring the attack of Trogoedia to destroy Green Gadget. The security system activates the unknown face-down trap card [Mirror Force ~ Seinaru Barrier Mirror Force - Normal Trap: Activate only when an opponent's monster declares an attack. Destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls], which counters the strike and destroys Tragoedia.

Crow is pretty shocked. Yusei describes the effect of [The Dark Door ~ Ankoku No Tobira - Continuous Spell: Both players can only attack with 1 monster during their respective Battle Phases] on the opponent's field. It allows both players to attack only once in a turn. This won't allow any further play, so it means Crow has already missed it.

Note: If Crow's play succeeds, the opponent's LP will drop to 0 (2300+400-3600) and Crow will win the game.

Jack is angry, grasps Crow's cloth, and yells at him who wasted their precious time. Yusei notes that at least they have been able to figure out that the set-up card is Mirror Force. Crow thinks that it should be such a trouble card because it can destroy any monster that attacks. Jack releases Crow and calls that his battle isn't worth watching. He takes Crow's seat and decides to solve this challenge by himself.

Jack appears in the duel simulation. He comes with different strategy in his mind. In his view, to equip an equipment spell with the opponent and lower its ATK just falls on smart hand. For him, a duel is power and what you overcome by power of oneself. Jack beings to play his answer by equipping [Axe of Despair ~ Demon No Ono - Equipment Spell: The equipped monster gains 1000 ATK. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can Tribute 1 monster you control to return this card to the top of your Deck] with Tragoedia. This increases the ATK of Tragoedia by 1000 to 4600 (3600+1000).

Without any strategy, Jack moves into battle phase and declares the attack of Tragoedia to destroy Green Gadget. Again, the security system activates Mirror Force to destroy attacking Tragoedia. Everyone looks surprised by Jack's answer. Crow is very mad at Jack and yells at him. People had realized that the face-down card is Mirror Force, and Crow expected Jack to be aware of it. Jack yells back and gives an excuse that he just tried to verify that the set-up card didn't change. Crow is afraid that they don't have such a time for that in the situation like this. Jack argues that he don't remember asking him.

Note: If Jack's play succeeds, the opponent's LP will drop to 0 (2300+1400-4600) and Jack will win the game.

Yusei looks on screen and notes that there are only 2 mins left. Next should be their last chance. Bruno asks whether he can go for it. Everyone looks surprised, and Yusei asks whether Bruno can do it. Bruno thinks so as there are D-Wheel and duel subjects remaining in his memory. Thus, he thinks he may be able to recall something. Yusei smiles before allowing Bruno to have a try.

Bruno takes a seat and prepares for the last chance. Jack isn't satisfied by that Yusei trusts Bruno. Crow tells Jack to stop as they don't have much time left. Everyone can now rely Bruno on this job. Bruno is sitting still, watching the situation on screen, and thinking carefully. Crow doubts whether they can truly solve this in the next 2 mins. Bruno finally figures out and enters the simulation.

Bruno analyzes the game that the main problem is with Mirror Force. The point is that he can't have it activated. The only thing on the field that can seal Mirror Force is the monster effect of Antique Gear Soldier which doesn't allow any trap to be activated when it attacks. Jack notes that Antique Gear Soldier is on the opponent's field. To solve this problem, Bruno decides to go for Tragoedia's monster effect. Once per turn, he can discard a monster on hand to the graveyard to take control a monster with the same level of the discarded monster on the opponent's field.

Another problem, Bruno sees is that Antique Gear Soldier has level 4. The only monster on hand is Divine Fowl King Alector with level 6, whose doesn't match Antique Gear Soldier's level. Another possibility on his hand is Cost Down, which can reduce the level of all monsters on hand by 2 and has the player discard 1 card. Crow understands that Divine Fowl King Alector will have level 4 by Cost Down.

Bruno decides to go by this strategy, activating [Cost Down - Normal Spell: Discard 1 card from your hand. Downgrade all Monster Cards in your hand by 2 Levels until the End Phase of the turn this card is activated] on his hand by discarding Remove Trap in exchange. By this play, Divine Fowl King Alector's level is reduced to 4 (6-2). Continuing by the monster effect of Tragoedia, he sends Divine Fowl King Alector with level 4 on his hand to the graveyard to take control Antique Gear Soldier with the same level 4 on the opponent's field.

Jack thinks that the next play should be equipping Axe of Despair with Antique Gear Soldier and attacking Green Gadget. However, Yusei and Bruno don't think so. Axe of Despair can increase the ATK of the stolen Antique Gear Soldier only to 2300 (1300+1000). Although Bruno uses the same play as Crow's to equip Shooting Star Bow - Ceal with Green Gadget and reduce its ATK to 400 (1400-1000), the ATK of Antique Gear Soldier still isn't sufficient to beat the opponent in a strike. The Dark Door allows only one strike in a turn, so they have to finish in 1 attack.

Note: Antique Gear Soldier has 2300 ATK and Green Gadget has 400 ATK. The strike of Antique Gear Soldier can reduce the opponent's LP only to 400 (2300+400-2300).

Jack doubts what they should do. Bruno points people to another possibility on the opponent's field. There is one thing standing there. The possibility remains on the monster effect of [Stronghold the Moving Fortress ~ Kidoutoride Stronghold - Continuous Trap: After activation, Special Summon this card in Defense Position: it is treated as an Effect Monster Card (Machine-Type/EARTH/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 2000). (This card is still treated as a Trap Card.) While "Green Gadget", "Red Gadget", and "Yellow Gadget" are all face-up on your side of the field, the ATK of this card becomes 3000].

Seeing Stronghold the Moving Fortress, Jack understands shortly what Bruno means. Crow doesn't seem to understand because Stronghold the Moving Fortress has 3000 ATK. Bruno reminds people of the source of Stronghold the Moving Fortress's power. Stronghold the Moving Fortress has 3000 ATK only when there are Green Gadget, Red Gadget, and Yellow Gadget on the field. If one of them is missing, Stronghold the Moving Fortress has 0 ATK. Yusei smiles as Bruno could see through it.

Bruno begins his strategy by discarding Shooting Star Bow - Ceal on his hand as a cost to activate [Tributed to the Doomed ~ Shisha heno Tamuke - Normal Spell: Discard 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard to destroy 1 Monster Card on the field (regardless of its position)], which allows him to destroy 1 monster on the field. He certainly chooses to destroy Green Gadget. Without Green Gadget, Stronghold the Moving Fortress's ATK drops to 0.

Next, Bruno equips Antique Gear Soldier with Axe of Despair and boosts its ATK to 2300 (1300+1000). Further play isn't necessary. Bruno declares the attack of Antique Gear Soldier to destroy Stronghold the Moving Fortress. This strike reduces the opponent's LP to 0 (2300+0-2300) exactly. The challenge is cleared beautifully, so the door to the security database is opened.

Everyone gets excited that they finally make it. Yusei tells Bruno that he did a wonderful job. Bruno smiles and gets back to match the fingerprint with the database of the security. He completes the matching, and the picture of the thief appears on screen. Crow, Yusei, and Jack are very surprised by a familiar face. Bruno wonders whether people know this guy. Yusei tells Bruno that this person is the Vice-Director (Secondary Director) of the Security Public Maintenance Bureau named Jaeger. The picture of Jaeger appears on screen.

To be continued...
