EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1

On a duel driving, Yusei is dueling an unknown duelist at night. He has Speed Warrior and Shield Warrior on the field and 2 face-down trap card, and his remaining LP is 1800. His opponent has [Tiger Dragon - 6/2400/1800: If this card is Tribute Summoned by Tributing a Dragon-Type monster, you can destroy up to 2 face-down Spell or Trap Cards your opponent controls] on the field and plays an unidentified combo to to destroy Yusei's 2 face-down cards, which appear to be Scrap-Iron Scarecrow and Urgent Tuning. Yusei's monsters are now defenseless. His opponent thus declares the attack of Tiger Dragon, "Tiger Dragon!," to destroy Speed Warrior.

This strike reduces Yusei's LP to 300 (1800+900-2400). His opponent sees that an outcome should be clear now. Setting up a face-down card, he ends his turn. Yusei realizes that he has only 300 LP left. There is only a way to fight Tiger Dragon with 2400 ATK. He thinks before drawing a card to run his turn. In his standby phase, his and his opponent's SPCs go up by 1 from 5 to 6. Yusei draws and gets Debris Dragon.

Note: The game between Yusei and an unknown D-Wheeler is shown in the mid of the game. We can assume that it's now the 7th turn of Yusei due to a current number of current SPCs. According to the effect of Speed World 2, there is no SPC reduction unless a player removes SPC to activate Speed World 2's effect. If we assume that both haven't removed any SPC from their Speed World 2, which is highly possible due to the same number of their SPCs, and that there is no SPC increasing in the first turn, the current turn should be the 7th turn (6 of the current SPCs + 1 of the first turn).

Yusei smiles and summons [Debris Dragon - 4/1000/2000: When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 monster with 500 ATK or less from your Graveyard in face-up Attack Position. The effect(s) of the monster Special Summoned this way are negated. This card can only be used as a Synchro Material Monster for the Synchro Summon of a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster; The other Synchro Material Monster(s) for this Synchro Summon must be of a Level other than 4] to the field in attack position.

When Debris Dragon is summoned successfully, Yusei can special summon a monster with 500 ATK or less from the graveyard. He thus special summons [Road Runner - 1/300/300: This card is not destroyed as a result of battle when this card battles with a monster with an ATK of 1900 or more] from his graveyard to the field in attack position. Yusei tunes Debris Dragon into Shield Warrior and Road Runner.

"Clustering hopes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Take Flight, Stardust Dragon!," Yusei says and synchro summons [Stardust Dragon - 8/2500/2000: When the effect of an Spell, Trap, or Effect monster is activated, that includes "destroy card(s) on the field", by releasing this card , you can negate the activation and destroy that card. In the End-Phase of a turn you use this effect, if the card is in your graveyard, you can Special Summon it to the field] to the field in attack position.

The opponent chuckles as Yusei has already fallen into his trap. His body then transforms into an appearance of Ghost, an Enemy Yusei has played with (episode 65, 66). The monsters that Ghost played at that time appear in front of Yusei. They are Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity, Wisel Top, Wisel Guard, Wisel Attack, and Wisel Carrier. The 5 monsters assemble into a giant infinity robot.

Ghost says that Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity can absorb a synchro monster into itself once per turn. Stardust Dragon is bound by infinity power. As Yusei is shocked, the picture of Sherry appears in front of him. Sherry tells him that she has been fighting in this speed at her limit and hopes that Yusei is looking for the same type of her duel as well. She believes that if Yusei fights along with her, he will surely find his goal. They are the words she earlier said to him (episode 72).

When Yusei turns back, he sees his Stardust Dragon taken into the body of Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity. He screams out loud, asking this to be stopped. Then, he wakes up from his nightmare to reality on his own bed. Yusei gets, sweats, and pants heavily. He realizes that everything is just a dream.

At the following day, Jack is surprised by that Yusei is asking for a match with him. Crow working on a Black-Bird Delivery box nearby quickly turns to ask what Yusei means by having a match with Jack. Yusei tells his friends that he has been thinking about figuring out a new method to fight without synchro summon. Jack looks uncertain to a new fight Yusei is seeking for.

Yusei hopes Crow and Jack remember his duel with Ghost well. Both of them of course could remember as they were watching over the duel at that time. Yusei's Stardust Dragon was absorbed into Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity (episode 66). Jack understands that it's synchro seal. Yusei says that Savior Star Dragon was a big help saving him at that time. However, if Ghost appears again, he isn't sure whether he will win. Thus, he would like to find a new way without synchro summon to fight Ghost.

Jack jumps down and confronts Yusei. He confronts Yusei and accepts to be his opponent. Of course, he doesn't plan to take it easy on him. Yusei smiles as it's what he hopes for. Crow places down his box and stops working. He plans to follow both of them and observe this duel.

Yusei and Jack are now riding on a highway near the main landmark of Neo Domino City. Crow is going after them. He looks worried by Yusei's words about a possibly new play. Jack tells Yusei to start now. Both of them set on field spell [Speed World 2 - Field Spell: When you play a Magic card other than a Magic card with "Speed Spell" in its name, you receive 2000 points of damage. Both player's, during their Standby Phases, place 1 Speed Counter for themselves on this card. (A maximum of 12 for each player.) By removing a number of Speed Counter placed from your Speed World, you can activate one of following effects: 4: Inflict 800 Damage to your opponent for each "Speed Spell" Card in your hand. 7: Draw 1 card from your deck. 10: Destroy 1 card on the field].

"Duel Mode, Auto Pilot, Standby!," the computer says. Once Speed World 2 is activate, many digital signs, "Duel-Lane 3857186-T," emerge from both road sides. Visual walls appear in the mid of the highway to separate a riding duel. The main server determines possible courses, selects one of them, and gives authorization for their duel on "Duel-Lane 3857186-T."

Once an authorization is given, Jack and Yusei declare to start a riding duel, "Riding Duel, Acceleration!." Not too far away, there is a mysterious man with a big glass and blue hair. He is standing on an upper highway and watching over Yusei's and Jack's riding duel. Yusei thinks about a theme of his deck. It's to utilize the ATK of a synchro monster without synchro summoning it. Yusei decides to play with this theme.

1st turn - Yusei

Yusei's SPCs 0
Jack's SPCs 0

Yusei takes the first turn and draws a card. According to the effect of Speed World 2, no Speed Counter increases in the first turn of the game. Thus, the number of SPCs is 0 for both. Yusei summons [Shield Wing - 2/0/900: This card cannot be destroyed by battle up to 2 times in one turn (damage calculation is applied normally)] to the field in defense position. Setting a face-down card, he ends her turn. Jack looks annoyed by that Yusei plays defense for an instance. He calls that such a play definitely can't defeat Jack Atlus.

2nd turn - Jack

Yusei's SPCs 1
Jack's SPCs 1

Jack calls for his turn and draws a card. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. They result in 1 SPC (1+0) evenly. Jack summons [Twin Breaker - 4/1600/100: If this card attacks a monster in defense mode, it can attack one more time following that. When this card attacks a monster in defense mode and its defense power is greater than this card's attack power, inflict Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the difference] to the field in attack position.

According to its effect, Twin Breaker can attack once more time if it attacks a defense-position monster in the first strike. Jack declares the attack of Twin Breaker to destroy Shield Wing. Its blade is stopped. Yusei calls the monster effect of Shield Wing that it can't be destroyed by battle up 2 times per turn.

Jack activates the monster effect of Twin Breaker that can inflict piercing damage through a defense monster to an opponent. This effect reduces Yusei's LP to 3300 (4000+900-1600). Jack rides his D-Wheel backward and confronts Yusei. Because Twin Breaker has just attacked a defense-position monster, its monster effect allows it to attack one more time in the same battle phase. Jack declares its attack, "Double Assault!," to attack Shield Wing once more time. Yusei asks his Shield Wing to bear it. Because Shield Wing can't be destroyed up to 2 times in the same turn, it could hold another strike of Twin Breaker.

Sword Master
Effect Monster Card

Jack calls that Twin Breaker can still inflict piercing damage of another 700 to Yusei. Yusei's LP further drops to 2600 (4000+900-1600). Jack tells Yusei that it's too naive. He then special summons [Sword Master - 3/1200/0: During the end of a Damage Step in which a Warrior-Type monster you control did not destroy an opponent's monster by battle, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent] from his hand to the field in attack position.

This card can be special summoned at the end of a damage step when a warrior-type monster on Jack's field couldn't destroy a monster by battle in this turn. Twin Breaker couldn't destroy Shield Wing in this turn, so the condition to special summon Sword Master is satisfied. "If the opponent can't be defeated by the second time, I will go for the third time!," Jack expresses his strong will to defeat his opponent in this turn and declares the attack of Sword Master to destroy Shield Wing successfully.

Note: Sword Master is special summoned in the damage step, which is still in the battle phase, so Jack could declare its attack. Also, Shield Wing can bear an attack and can't be destroyed by battle up to 2 times in a turn. In other words, it has to be destroyed by battle in the third strike.

Similar to Twin Breaker, Sword Master also has a piercing-damage effect. Thus, Yusei still has to receive battle damage, and his LP drops to 2300 (2600+900-1200). Crow is afraid that it looks pretty bad at this rate. While the riding duel is running, the mysterious man is still watching over their fight on another highway. He looks interested in Yusei's play. Jack ends his turn at this moment and urges Yusei to bring it on.

3rd turn - Yusei

Yusei's SPCs 2
Jack's SPCs 2

A turn is back to Yusei, and he draws a card. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. They result in 2 SPCs (1+1) evenly. Yusei summons a tuner monster [Junk Synchron - 3/1300/500: When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower monster in your Graveyard in face-up defense mode. Any effects of an Effect Monster Special Summoned by this effect are negated] to the field in defense position. Crow is stunned by seeing Yusei playing a tuner monster.

When Junk Synchron is summoned, a monster with level 2 or less can be special summoned from the graveyard. Yusei thus special summons Shield Wing with level 2 from the graveyard to the field in defense position. Seeing Shield Warrior with level 2 and Junk Synchron with level 3, Crow knows that Yusei can synchro summon Junk Warrior with level 5 now. However, to find a new possible play without synchro summon, it shouldn't be a play Yusei is going to do.

Yusei special summons [Backup Warrior - 5/2100/0: If you control 2 or more Defense Position monsters, you can Special Summon this card from your hand]. This card can be special summoned from hand when there are 2 defense-position monsters on the field, which are Shield Wing and Junk Synchron in this case. Yusei next opens his face-down trap card [Deceive Synchro - Normal Trap: Select 1 Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck and send it to the Graveyard. If you control the selected monster's Synchro Material Monsters, increase the ATK of 1 monster you control other than those monsters by half the ATK of the monster selected and sent to the Graveyard. Only the monster which had its ATK increased can attack this turn].

Backup Warrior
Effect Monster Card
Deceive Synchro
Normal Trap Card

According to the effect of Deceive Synchro, Yusei can send a synchro monster in his extra deck to the graveyard if its synchro material monsters, which are Shield Wing and Junk Synchron, are on the field. Then, he can increase the attack of Backup Warrior by a half of the synchro monster sent to the graveyard by this effect. The ATK of Backup Warrior thus increases to 3250 (2100+2300/2).

Yusei declares the attack of Backup Warrior, "Support Attack!,"to destroy Sword Master. This strike reduces Jack's LP to 1950 (4000+1200-3250). Yusei ends his turn at this point. At the end phase, the effect of Deceive Synchro is gone, and the ATK of Backup Warrior turns back to 2100.

Jack has just understood Yusei's new strategy. It's to utilize a synchro monster to increase the ATK of another monster without synchro summoning that synchro monster. He thinks that this way may work with the seal of synchro summon. Nevertheless, it just passes on the fly until the the end phase.

4th turn - Jack

Yusei's SPCs 3
Jack's SPCs 3

Jack calls for his turn and draws a card. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. They result in 3 SPCs (2+1) evenly. Jack summons [Dark Bug - 1/100/100: When this card is Normal Summoned, select and Special Summon 1 Level 3 Tuner monster from your Graveyard. The effect(s) of that monster is negated]. When this card is summoned successfully, he can special summoned a tuner monster from his graveyard. Jack thus special summons a tuner monster, Sword Master, from the graveyard back to the field in attack position.

Jack tunes Sword Master into Dark Bug and Twin Breaker. "The ruler's heartbeats will now file through here! Take witness to its creation-shaking power!," he says and declares his Synchro Summon to call out his very soul, [Red Demon's Dragon - 8/3000/2000: When this card attacks a Defense Position monster your opponent controls, after Damage Calculation, destroy all Defense Position monster your opponent controls. If this card is face-up during your End-Phase, destroy all monsters you control that didn't declare an attack this turn except this card], to the field in attack position.

Jack says that he is going to show how naive Yusei's thought is. He declares the attack of Red Demon's Dragon, "Absolute Power Force!," to destroy Backup Warrior. Yusei's LP drops to 1400 (2300+2100-3000). After the strike, Jack stops riding. Crow and Yusei also stop following Jack. Yusei is now panting heavily. Jack decides to stop the duel at this moment and turns off the duel mode on his screen. Red Demon's Dragon disappears, and the game is ended without result.

Note: Jack has 1950 LP and Red Demon's Dragon on the field. Yusei has 1400 LP and nothing left. Jack has already declared the attack in this turn. The game hasn't been at the state to say who is going to win although Jack seems to have an upper hand. Thus, it's ended without an official outcome.

Duel End

When the game is over, all road-side digital signs are turned off. Jack tells Yusei that an outcome is very clear for his victory. It's useless for Yusei to move on. Yusei doesn't argue or even look at Jack. Jack claims that, for a duel, power is everything. Synchro monsters can overcome whoever opponents will be.

Crow reminds Jack that the enemy has a synchro-seal play. A synchro monster is likely to be absorbed or taken. Jack argues that he will win anyway. He then leaves without further words. Yusei is trembling. His new strategy to utilize synchro monsters's ATK instead of using them doesn't seem to work.

Meanwhile, the mysterious guy is still watching over Yusei after observing him for the whole duel. Yusei has just felt someone watching over him. He turns back to the spot where the mysterious man used to be standing, but nobody is out there.

EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2

At a night, there is a big party held for "he WR-GP1 Premium Event." Ushio with a suit is also in the party, working along with many securities in uniforms to guard the event. Aki, Lua, Luca, Crow, and Yusei are together at the party. Lua is very excited and impressed by the event. Many journalists are spotting a team, [Unicorn], with straight victories from the Atlantic tournament. The team consists of 3 big men posting for the press. The journalists then spot another known team, [Mantis], quickly running to interview the team members.

Aki, Lua, Luca, Crow, and Yusei are now walking in the party. Crow notes that it's so unusual that Lua, Luca, and even Aki are coming to this event. Aki turns her face away and looks uncertain to give explanation for her reason. She recalls when she was in a riding duel between Yusei and Sherry (episode 72). She would like to know what Yusei saw and felt back then. It has made her attracted to a riding duel and would like to learn more about it.

Aki looks around and searches for Sherry, expecting that Sherry should be coming to this event as well as she said that she would also participate in the World Grand Prix. Everyone then spots Carly currently taking a picture of the Unicorn's members. Carly sees Aki, Lua, Luca, Crow, and run into them. Crow is surprised by that Carly is coming to this event as well. Carly tells him that she definitely can't miss the WR-GP1 Premium Event that everybody is looking forward to. Many teams are coming, and it's a chance for her to make a scoop. Meanwhile, her dress's string is falling off her shoulder and she is trying to put it up. It seems that the dress doesn't fit her well and that she isn't neat about it.

When Carly turns to take a picture on another side, she turns to ask everyone where Jack is. To talk about Jack, Crow has just realized that Jack hasn't come yet. He knows that Jack left before them to prepare for his appearance, but has no idea where he has gone. Jack then appears in an elegant costume with a white cowboy hat, saying that he has made everyone waiting. People are very stunned by his suit and act.

Crow asks what this cloth is about. Jack says it's obvious that this is a special costume created for this day. Hearing that it's a made-to-order costume, Crow isn't satisfied by that Jack still wasted money and begins to complain. He points to Jack and asks whether Jack hasn't understood yet. Saving up is only for this. Jack even doesn't have a job, and Crow has to do all home delivery services. Carly just looks over Crow scolding at Jack as she remembers to see this similar scene before (episode 69). Jack doesn't seem to care and changes the topic shortly after everybody hears laughing voice of Jaeger.

Jaeger appears on an upper level of the party and many visual screens. He officially greets and welcomes everyone to the first World Riding Grand Prix's Premium Event today. He expects people to know well that Neo Domino City has been changing significantly. The Daedalus Bridge has been opened for traffic, the boundary between Satellite and the city has gone, and the city has become an ideal town where everyone can enjoy a duel. Visual screens are now displaying the complete Daedalus Bridge, the main landmark of the city, and driveways exclusively for a riding duel.

Jaeger mentions that the World Riding Duel Grand Prix called WR-GP is an important event which becomes an intermediary of peace and in which eternity is continued. It is also an event to symbolize a new birth of Neo Domino City. Everyone gives him an applaud for his great speech. At this moment, Aki is noticing Yusei turning to the other way and not paying attention to the speech. He is thinking about his earlier duel with Jack. Jack claimed to show Yusei that his thought was so naive and overwhelmed him by the attack of Red Demon's Dragon to destroy his Backup Warrior.

Yusei is concerned by whether his deck truly can't evolve without synchro summon. A mysterious eye is now spotting Yusei. Yusei is aware of some threatening and looks forward. There is a man in a blue riding costume and big eye glass walking pass him. Yusei just watches the man walking away but doesn't have any doubt about him at this rate.

Light is then lower, and MC appears in place of Jaeger on visual screens to introduce the WR-GP1 in summary. First, they are going to use available courses currently under construction around Neo Domino City. Courses are ever-changing. D-Wheelers who obtain victory in the preliminary round will come to have a heat fight over these coastal courses next years. It's a riding duel with 3 people in a team. Meanwhile, everyone is paying attention and listening to the MC's presentation carefully.

Jaeger leaves the party and enters a resting room where Placido, Luciano, and Jose are sitting and watching over the live party on screen. Jaeger reports how successful the event is and how much everybody has been satisfied. Jose thanks Jaeger for his hard work. Luciano laughs evilly and says that nobody is aware that he or she is being used. Placido notes that it's just time consuming. If they would like to pull out power of that person, they had better do it by themselves (Nobody knows what this person is as they have never mentioned yet).

Jose tells Placido that it's to get great power. Duelists who obtain potentials that they don't have will move toward the Grand Prix, work hard, and polish themselves. When that power is released, great power will be born. Placido turns himself and doesn't look satisfied by such a reason.

At the party, everyone is enjoying eating and chatting while Yusei is standing alone and getting separate from his friends. A big man with red hair walks into him to greet the winner of the Duel Fortune Cup. He has heard this rumor about it. There are other 2 teammates standing behind him. Yusei looks stunned and doesn't say anything. The man excuses Yusei before introducing themselves as the Unicorn team. Crow quickly steps in the middle of the group, looks very excited, and says that he knows this team well. It's the team in the mid of newly successful winning record. Crow asks whether they plan to participate in the WR-GP as well.

The man of the Unicorn team asks who Crow is. Crow introduces his name to people and says that he is Yusei's teammate. Anyway, Yusei excuses everyone, walks away, and doesn't say anything. Crow is surprised and asks what's wrong with him. He tells the Unicorn team that Yusei usually isn't like this, excuses people, and hurries to follow Yusei.

Crow runs after Yusei outside the party ballroom. He calls him and touches his shoulder. Yusei tells Crow to let him go and pushes his hand away rudely. He doesn't pay attention to his friend at all. Crow asks what's going on with him and doubts whether Yusei is still getting concerned about Ghost. Yusei stops walking, making Crow understand clearly through his pause.

Crow tells him that it doesn't mean he doesn't understand Yusei. He comments that Yusei's prior attitude wasn't good as the Unicorn team came in to greet them. Yusei is sorry and would like Crow to tell them that he apologizes. He then walks away without saying anything. Crow looks tried of this matter and doesn't follow him further.

At this moment, an unknown fat man riding a big D-Wheel breaks the windows and approaches into the party. His act is obviously hostile. People scream and run around. Jaeger watching the event through the monitor along with Placido, Luciano, and Jose becomes very surprised by what's going on. The man sees that people are gathering and having fun at this place. Carly sees the man and thinks that he may be a homeless guy from the city.

The man has a poster of the WR-GP in his hand and looks very annoyed by it. He shares his view that a riding duel shouldn't be played at this manner, throwing the poster away. Many securities begin to surround him, and Ushio gives an order to arrest the intruder. Nevertheless, the securities are all blown away, and the man continues to ride and make a chaos in the party.

People are scared and scream. The man keeps on riding to destroy everything in his way. Standing in front of him now is Aki ready with her duel disk. Yusei is surprised, trying to call her. The intruder tells Aki to move from his way and is about to crash her. Aki summons Black Rose Dragon. With her psycho power, Black Rose Dragon becomes real and knocks the man along with his D-Wheel out of the window.

The securities approach the man and surround him. The man quickly steps up and rides away. Ushio gives an order for the Duel Chasers to go after the man. Aki is standing still and watching people going after the intruder. Placido, Luciano, and Jose realize that Aki is a psycho duelist. Placido gets up, walks off, and says that it seems to be time for him to give a lesson.

The Duel Chasers are going after the man who strongly believes that he won't be caught. Suddenly, a D-Wheel rides pass them quickly after the man. A security sees data analysis on his screen, which show entirely unknown data on the passing D-Wheel. It's clear to him that this D-Wheel must be Ghost. Ghost finally appears and chases after the intruder. The intruder is now aware of a mysterious D-Wheeler not a security chasing after him.

At the party, the securities are taking care of injured people while Jack is interviewed by some journalists. Ushio as the lead security gets information from a Duel Chaser that Ghost has appeared. Crow and Yusei hear the conversation and quickly turn to Ushio. Meanwhile, the intruder is chased and attacked strongly by Ghost. It's so severe that he has to beg his opponent to stop it. Behind Ghost is a synchro killer, Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity. There is a lot of explosion coming after, and the man screams all the way he's attacked by Ghost.

At the party, Jack, Yusei, Aki, Crow, Lua, and Luca are leaving the party to a parking lot. Jack is excited to hear that Ghost has finally shown up. He intends to crush Ghost down by his hand this time. Anyway, Yusei comments nothing and keeps on running.

Everyone arrives the parking lot and meets a mysterious man in a blue riding costume and big eye glass standing there. Lua wonders who this guy is. The man looks at Yusei, making Yusei recall similar feeling when he earlier dueled Jack and when he was in the party. It's threatening feeling from someone. Jack tells Yusei to move on, and everyone begins to run pass this mysterious man.

When everyone is about to go away, the mysterious man turns to them and says that it's useless to follow. People stop and turn back to the man. The man explains that although they go now, the duel should be over. In other words, they won't make it to reach Ghost anyway. More importantly, he says that although Yusei can make it, he won't be able to defeat Ghost at this rate. His words make Yusei very stunned. On the other side, Ghost finally defeats the intruder by Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity. His opponent's D-Wheel crashes and explodes.

The mysterious man tells Yusei that he won't unable to defeat Ghost if he doesn't go over his limit. Yusei is surprised by his limit the guy is talking about. The mysterious man clarifies that it's the only way to defeat Ghost but hasn't given any explanation yet.

To be continued...
