On a duel driving, Yusei is dueling an unknown duelist at night. He has Speed Warrior and Shield Warrior on the field and 2 face-down trap card, and his remaining LP is 1800. His opponent has [Tiger Dragon - 6/2400/1800: If this card is Tribute Summoned by Tributing a Dragon-Type monster, you can destroy up to 2 face-down Spell or Trap Cards your opponent controls] on the field and plays an unidentified combo to to destroy Yusei's 2 face-down cards, which appear to be Scrap-Iron Scarecrow and Urgent Tuning. Yusei's monsters are now defenseless. His opponent thus declares the attack of Tiger Dragon, "Tiger Dragon!," to destroy Speed Warrior.
This strike reduces Yusei's LP to 300 (1800+900-2400). His opponent sees that an outcome should be clear now. Setting up a face-down card, he ends his turn. Yusei realizes that he has only 300 LP left. There is only a way to fight Tiger Dragon with 2400 ATK. He thinks before drawing a card to run his turn. In his standby phase, his and his opponent's SPCs go up by 1 from 5 to 6. Yusei draws and gets Debris Dragon.

Note: The game between Yusei and an unknown D-Wheeler is shown in the mid of the game. We can assume that it's now the 7th turn of Yusei due to a current number of current SPCs. According to the effect of Speed World 2, there is no SPC reduction unless a player removes SPC to activate Speed World 2's effect. If we assume that both haven't removed any SPC from their Speed World 2, which is highly possible due to the same number of their SPCs, and that there is no SPC increasing in the first turn, the current turn should be the 7th turn (6 of the current SPCs + 1 of the first turn). |
Yusei smiles and summons [Debris Dragon - 4/1000/2000: When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 monster with 500 ATK or less from your Graveyard in face-up Attack Position. The effect(s) of the monster Special Summoned this way are negated. This card can only be used as a Synchro Material Monster for the Synchro Summon of a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster; The other Synchro Material Monster(s) for this Synchro Summon must be of a Level other than 4] to the field in attack position.
When Debris Dragon is summoned successfully, Yusei can special summon a monster with 500 ATK or less from the graveyard. He thus special summons [Road Runner - 1/300/300: This card is not destroyed as a result of battle when this card battles with a monster with an ATK of 1900 or more] from his graveyard to the field in attack position. Yusei tunes Debris Dragon into Shield Warrior and Road Runner.
"Clustering hopes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Take Flight, Stardust Dragon!," Yusei says and synchro summons [Stardust Dragon - 8/2500/2000: When the effect of an Spell, Trap, or Effect monster is activated, that includes "destroy card(s) on the field", by releasing this card , you can negate the activation and destroy that card. In the End-Phase of a turn you use this effect, if the card is in your graveyard, you can Special Summon it to the field] to the field in attack position.

The opponent chuckles as Yusei has already fallen into his trap. His body then transforms into an appearance of Ghost, an Enemy Yusei has played with (episode 65, 66). The monsters that Ghost played at that time appear in front of Yusei. They are Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity, Wisel Top, Wisel Guard, Wisel Attack, and Wisel Carrier. The 5 monsters assemble into a giant infinity robot.
Ghost says that Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity can absorb a synchro monster into itself once per turn. Stardust Dragon is bound by infinity power. As Yusei is shocked, the picture of Sherry appears in front of him. Sherry tells him that she has been fighting in this speed at her limit and hopes that Yusei is looking for the same type of her duel as well. She believes that if Yusei fights along with her, he will surely find his goal. They are the words she earlier said to him (episode 72).
When Yusei turns back, he sees his Stardust Dragon taken into the body of Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity. He screams out loud, asking this to be stopped. Then, he wakes up from his nightmare to reality on his own bed. Yusei gets, sweats, and pants heavily. He realizes that everything is just a dream.

At the following day, Jack is surprised by that Yusei is asking for a match with him. Crow working on a Black-Bird Delivery box nearby quickly turns to ask what Yusei means by having a match with Jack. Yusei tells his friends that he has been thinking about figuring out a new method to fight without synchro summon. Jack looks uncertain to a new fight Yusei is seeking for.
Yusei hopes Crow and Jack remember his duel with Ghost well. Both of them of course could remember as they were watching over the duel at that time. Yusei's Stardust Dragon was absorbed into Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity (episode 66). Jack understands that it's synchro seal. Yusei says that Savior Star Dragon was a big help saving him at that time. However, if Ghost appears again, he isn't sure whether he will win. Thus, he would like to find a new way without synchro summon to fight Ghost.
Jack jumps down and confronts Yusei. He confronts Yusei and accepts to be his opponent. Of course, he doesn't plan to take it easy on him. Yusei smiles as it's what he hopes for. Crow places down his box and stops working. He plans to follow both of them and observe this duel.

Yusei and Jack are now riding on a highway near the main landmark of Neo Domino City. Crow is going after them. He looks worried by Yusei's words about a possibly new play. Jack tells Yusei to start now. Both of them set on field spell [Speed World 2 - Field Spell: When you play a Magic card other than a Magic card with "Speed Spell" in its name, you receive 2000 points of damage. Both player's, during their Standby Phases, place 1 Speed Counter for themselves on this card. (A maximum of 12 for each player.) By removing a number of Speed Counter placed from your Speed World, you can activate one of following effects: 4: Inflict 800 Damage to your opponent for each "Speed Spell" Card in your hand. 7: Draw 1 card from your deck. 10: Destroy 1 card on the field].
"Duel Mode, Auto Pilot, Standby!," the computer says. Once Speed World 2 is activate, many digital signs, "Duel-Lane 3857186-T," emerge from both road sides. Visual walls appear in the mid of the highway to separate a riding duel. The main server determines possible courses, selects one of them, and gives authorization for their duel on "Duel-Lane 3857186-T."
Once an authorization is given, Jack and Yusei declare to start a riding duel, "Riding Duel, Acceleration!." Not too far away, there is a mysterious man with a big glass and blue hair. He is standing on an upper highway and watching over Yusei's and Jack's riding duel. Yusei thinks about a theme of his deck. It's to utilize the ATK of a synchro monster without synchro summoning it. Yusei decides to play with this theme.

Yusei takes the first turn and draws a card. According to the effect of Speed
World 2, no Speed Counter increases in the first turn of the
game. Thus, the number of SPCs is 0 for both. Yusei summons [Shield Wing - 2/0/900: This card cannot be destroyed by battle up to 2 times in one turn (damage calculation is applied normally)] to the field in defense position. Setting a face-down card, he ends her turn. Jack looks annoyed by that Yusei plays defense for an instance. He calls that such a play definitely can't defeat Jack Atlus.

Jack calls for his turn and draws a card. In
his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. They result in 1 SPC (1+0) evenly. Jack summons [Twin Breaker - 4/1600/100: If this card attacks a monster in defense mode, it can attack one more time following that. When this card attacks a monster in defense mode and its defense power is greater than this card's attack power, inflict Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the difference] to the field in attack position.
According to its effect, Twin Breaker can attack once more time if it attacks a defense-position monster in the first strike. Jack declares the attack of Twin Breaker to destroy Shield Wing. Its blade is stopped. Yusei calls the monster effect of Shield Wing that it can't be destroyed by battle up 2 times per turn.
Jack activates the monster effect of Twin Breaker that can inflict piercing damage through a defense monster to an opponent. This effect reduces Yusei's LP to 3300 (4000+900-1600). Jack rides his D-Wheel backward and confronts Yusei. Because Twin Breaker has just attacked a defense-position monster, its monster effect allows it to attack one more time in the same battle phase. Jack declares its attack, "Double Assault!," to attack Shield Wing once more time. Yusei asks his Shield Wing to bear it. Because Shield Wing can't be destroyed up to 2 times in the same turn, it could hold another strike of Twin Breaker.

Sword Master
Effect Monster Card |
Jack calls that Twin Breaker can still inflict piercing damage of another 700 to Yusei. Yusei's LP further drops to 2600 (4000+900-1600). Jack tells Yusei that it's too naive. He then special summons [Sword Master - 3/1200/0: During the end of a Damage Step in which a Warrior-Type monster you control did not destroy an opponent's monster by battle, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent] from his hand to the field in attack position.
This card can be special summoned at the end of a damage step when a warrior-type monster on Jack's field couldn't destroy a monster by battle in this turn. Twin Breaker couldn't destroy Shield Wing in this turn, so the condition to special summon Sword Master is satisfied. "If the opponent can't be defeated by the second time, I will go for the third time!," Jack expresses his strong will to defeat his opponent in this turn and declares the attack of Sword Master to destroy Shield Wing successfully.
Note: Sword Master is special summoned in the damage step, which is still in the battle phase, so Jack could declare its attack. Also, Shield Wing can bear an attack and can't be destroyed by battle up to 2 times in a turn. In other words, it has to be destroyed by battle in the third strike. |
Similar to Twin Breaker, Sword Master also has a piercing-damage effect. Thus, Yusei still has to receive battle damage, and his LP drops to 2300 (2600+900-1200). Crow is afraid that it looks pretty bad at this rate. While the riding duel is running, the mysterious man is still watching over their fight on another highway. He looks interested in Yusei's play. Jack ends his turn at this moment and urges Yusei to bring it on.

A turn is back to Yusei, and he draws a card. In
his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. They result in 2 SPCs (1+1) evenly. Yusei summons a tuner monster [Junk Synchron - 3/1300/500: When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower monster in your Graveyard in face-up defense mode. Any effects of an Effect Monster Special Summoned by this effect are negated] to the field in defense position. Crow is stunned by seeing Yusei playing a tuner monster.
When Junk Synchron is summoned, a monster with level 2 or less can be special summoned from the graveyard. Yusei thus special summons Shield Wing with level 2 from the graveyard to the field in defense position. Seeing Shield Warrior with level 2 and Junk Synchron with level 3, Crow knows that Yusei can synchro summon Junk Warrior with level 5 now. However, to find a new possible play without synchro summon, it shouldn't be a play Yusei is going to do.
Yusei special summons [Backup Warrior - 5/2100/0: If you control 2 or more Defense Position monsters, you can Special Summon this card from your hand]. This card can be special summoned from hand when there are 2 defense-position monsters on the field, which are Shield Wing and Junk Synchron in this case. Yusei next opens his face-down trap card [Deceive Synchro - Normal Trap: Select 1 Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck and send it to the Graveyard. If you control the selected monster's Synchro Material Monsters, increase the ATK of 1 monster you control other than those monsters by half the ATK of the monster selected and sent to the Graveyard. Only the monster which had its ATK increased can attack this turn].

Deceive Synchro
Normal Trap Card |
According to the effect of Deceive Synchro, Yusei can send a synchro monster in his extra deck to the graveyard if its synchro material monsters, which are Shield Wing and Junk Synchron, are on the field. Then, he can increase the attack of Backup Warrior by a half of the synchro monster sent to the graveyard by this effect. The ATK of Backup Warrior thus increases to 3250 (2100+2300/2).
Yusei declares the attack of Backup Warrior, "Support Attack!,"to destroy Sword Master. This strike reduces Jack's LP to 1950 (4000+1200-3250). Yusei ends his turn at this point. At the end phase, the effect of Deceive Synchro is gone, and the ATK of Backup Warrior turns back to 2100.
Jack has just understood Yusei's new strategy. It's to utilize a synchro monster to increase the ATK of another monster without synchro summoning that synchro monster. He thinks that this way may work with the seal of synchro summon. Nevertheless, it just passes on the fly until the the end phase.

Jack calls for his turn and draws a card. In
his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added to both sides following the effect of Speed World 2. They result in 3 SPCs (2+1) evenly. Jack summons [Dark Bug - 1/100/100: When this card is Normal Summoned, select and Special Summon 1 Level 3 Tuner monster from your Graveyard. The effect(s) of that monster is negated]. When this card is summoned successfully, he can special summoned a tuner monster from his graveyard. Jack thus special summons a tuner monster, Sword Master, from the graveyard back to the field in attack position.
Jack tunes Sword Master into Dark Bug and Twin Breaker. "The ruler's heartbeats will now file through here! Take witness to its creation-shaking power!," he says and declares his Synchro Summon to call out his very soul, [Red Demon's Dragon - 8/3000/2000: When this card attacks a Defense Position monster your
opponent controls, after Damage Calculation, destroy all Defense Position
monster your opponent controls. If this card is face-up during your End-Phase,
destroy all monsters you control that didn't declare an attack this turn except
this card], to the field in attack position.
Jack says that he is going to show how naive Yusei's thought is. He declares the attack of Red Demon's Dragon, "Absolute Power Force!," to destroy Backup Warrior. Yusei's LP drops to 1400 (2300+2100-3000). After the strike, Jack stops riding. Crow and Yusei also stop following Jack. Yusei is now panting heavily. Jack decides to stop the duel at this moment and turns off the duel mode on his screen. Red Demon's Dragon disappears, and the game is ended without result.
Note: Jack has 1950 LP and Red Demon's Dragon on the field. Yusei has 1400 LP and nothing left. Jack has already declared the attack in this turn. The game hasn't been at the state to say who is going to win although Jack seems to have an upper hand. Thus, it's ended without an official outcome. |
Duel End
When the game is over, all road-side digital signs are turned off. Jack tells Yusei that an outcome is very clear for his victory. It's useless for Yusei to move on. Yusei doesn't argue or even look at Jack. Jack claims that, for a duel, power is everything. Synchro monsters can overcome whoever opponents will be.
Crow reminds Jack that the enemy has a synchro-seal play. A synchro monster is likely to be absorbed or taken. Jack argues that he will win anyway. He then leaves without further words. Yusei is trembling. His new strategy to utilize synchro monsters's ATK instead of using them doesn't seem to work.
Meanwhile, the mysterious guy is still watching over Yusei after observing him for the whole duel. Yusei has just felt someone watching over him. He turns back to the spot where the mysterious man used to be standing, but nobody is out there.
