EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1

The duel between Aki and Misty is continued. Aki now has Black Rose Dragon with 2400 ATK on the field while Misty has Bad End - Queen Dragon with 1900 ATK on the field. Ruca and Rua have finally arrived their duel place. They know that Aki is dueling but she is now looking different. It's now Aki's battle phase. Aki declares the attack of Black Rose Dragon, "Black Rose Flare!," to burn and destroy Bad End - Queen Dragon. Misty's LP drops to 3500 (4000+1900-2400) by this strike.

The attack of Black Rose Dragon creates such a great impact on the ground. Ruca and Rua understand that this is the mighty psycho power of Aki. Aki then ends her turn at this point. Misty sees that this is the power that took away her younger brother, Toby. There is no way that she will forgive Aki. It's time for their true duel. Misty calls the ancient seal of her sign, The Lizard. She activates the power of the Dark Signer to create a geoglyph of The Lizard that covers the duel field. Rua and Ruca have to step away from the flaming drawing the lines.

Divine is observing the duel of Aki in a nearby building. He laughs and tells Aki to show her true power that has just been released by crushing down her opponent. Meanwhile, Ushio is trying so hard to open the hatch and save Yusei and Mikage trapped in water. Yusei asks him to move faster as they are close to be drown. Ushio knows it well but it's hard to do so. At this moment, Mikage calls Jack Atlus to come and help her. Those words are very clear to Ushio's eyes and make him jealous of Jack. Mikage always calls for him. Jealousy anyway becomes power for Ushio to open the hatch finally. Yusei thanks Ushio for his help as he and Mikage are now safe.

After Yusei, Ushio, and Mikage leave the building, Yusei sees the geoglyph and understands that the duel has already started. When he is about to leave for Aki, Mikage stops and tells him about Misty's hatred over Aki. It's because Misty thinks that Aki killed her younger brother. Yusei looks surprised and asks whether this is true. Mikage isn't sure because Aki said that she couldn't remember anything. Yusei now looks concerned about Aki.

7th turn - Misty

Misty draws to run her turn. She gets Reptiless Gorgon and activates the effect of Sad Story - Sorrowful Memories - to have Reptiless Gorgon shuffled back to her deck. Next, Misty activates the monster effect of Bad End - Queen Dragon. When it is in her graveyard after being sent from the field to the graveyard, she can send 1 continuous spell Card on the field to the graveyard to special summon it.

Misty decides to send Sad Story - Sorrowful Memories - to the cemetery to special summon Bad End - Queen Dragon back to the field in attack position. She then equips it with [Reptiless Anger - Equipment Spell: The equipped monster's Type becomes Reptile-Type, and its ATK increases by 800. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, decrease the ATK of 1 monster your opponent controls by 800] to increase its ATK by 800. The attack power of Bad End - Queen Dragon now becomes 2700 (1900+800).

Moving to battle phase, Misty declares the battle of Bad End - Queen Dragon to scatter the petals of Black Rose Dragon. At this moment, Aki opens her face-down trap card [Rose Blizzard - Trap: Activate when a monster you control is selected as the attack target of an opponent's monster. Negate the attack of your opponent's monster, and switch it to Defense Position]. When her monster becomes an attack target, she can negate the attack and change the monster to defense position. Thus, the strike of Bad End - Queen Dragon is stopped and it has to change into defense position.

Misty sees that Aki could bear it this time but wonders whether she can do so next. She ends her turn at this point. Yusei has finally reached the duel place, walking into Rua and Ruca. They would like to say that Aki has already started the duel but she is looking very weird. Aki now looks to them that she has already returned to be old Aki who is cold and unfriendly. Yusei doubts what's happening to her.

Divine on the other side of the building keeps laughing and encourages Aki to fight. He seems to enjoy seeing Aki looking like this very much. Yusei then notices Divine standing at the building on the other side. He remembered that Divine once came in to help Aki after her defeat in the Duel Fortune Cup (episode 24). Yusei also recognizes Divine as the security from the Public Security Maintenance Bureau who earlier trapped him into water (episode 60). The situation all makes sense to Yusei that Divine disguised himself as a security to get close to Aki. He tells Rua and Ruca to stay there and leaves without saying where he is going.

8th turn - Aki

Aki draws a card and gets Dark Verdure. Because Sad Story - Sorrowful Memories - has already gone from the field, she doesn't have to return it to the deck. Next, Aki removes Rose Fairy from the graveyard from play to activate the monster effect of Black Rose Dragon, "Rose Restriction!," which can change Bad End - Queen Dragon to attack position and reduce its attack power to 0. Misty looks very surprised by such a powerful effect of Black Rose Dragon.

Divine sees that Aki is doing a good job. As long as he has Aki's power without limiters, he doesn't have to fear the Dark Signers. Divine encourages Aki to go on like this. Meanwhile, Yusei is running toward the building where Divine is inside. He quickly approaches into the room and confronts Divine. Divine hasn't expected to see Yusei and looks surprised by that Yusei is still alive.

Aki moves into battle phase and declares the attack of Black Rose Dragon, "Black Rose Flare!," to destroy Bad End - Queen Dragon. This strike reduces Misty's LP to 1000 (3500+0-2400). Aki tells Misty by her cold voice that if Misty stands in her way, she will be eliminated. Misty activates the remaining effect of Reptiless Anger equipped with Bad End - Queen Dragon. When it is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, 1 monster on the opponent's field decreases by 800. Therefore, the attack power of Black Rose Dragon drops to 1600 (2400-800).

In the second main phase following by the end phase, Aki summons [Dark Verdure - 2/0/1000: When a Plant-type Tuner is successfully summoned, you can Special Summon this card from your Cemetery] onto the field in defense position and ends her turn. Ruca looks concerned about the current state of Aki. However, whatever both kids are more worried now is that Aki has to settle this duel down by the sunset. They look at the sun and see that it nearly goes down completely.

Yusei confronts Divine and asks him direct why Divine is here and what his target is. Divine tells Yusei that because Arcadia Movement got attacked by the Dark Signers, he gets a scar on his face. He opens his hair to show it to Yusei. In any case, his mind control over Aki is perfect. Yusei wonders what Divine is talking about. Divine explains that Aki now listens only to his orders. He plans to use Aki's power to avenge everyone who made the scar on him.

Yusei tells Divine to let Aki go as she has already changed herself into a new person. Divine of course doesn't agree and claims Aki his loyal servant. He makes decision for Aki's everything. The talk is enough, and Divine begins to attack Yusei by Fireball again. Yusei dodges it and says that he won't forgive Divine for controlling people's hearts. Divine tells him that people who have already fallen into his hands won't be able to think no matter what kind of persons they are. As long as he plays on their weakness, they will move in his way just like Aki, whose heart is lonely due to the ultimate psycho power she obtained. He just gives her little motivation.

Yusei looks very mad at Divine who plays a dirty trick to control Aki. Divine feels poor to Misty that she has turned into a Dark Signer due to hatred from her younger brother's death and has to duel a psycho duelist. This is like love of tear-jerking siblings. It's also pity that Misty has been destined to be defeated by Aki. At this point, Divine's words recall what Mikage told him earlier about this story.

Previously, Mikage told Yusei about unclear report on the death of Toby or Misty's younger brother even to the Public Security Maintenance Bureau. It's possible that Arcadia Movement did manipulate report. Yusei doubts whether Divine is truly the one who caused this and made Misty become a Dark Signer. Divine is afraid that he hasn't that far. It just became a perfect stage for him who wants to prove the power of psycho duelists.

"That far!," by this word, Yusei realizes that Divine has already showed his tail. In other words, Divine has already split out some truth.  As he has expected, Divine has something related to Toby's death. Divine smiles evilly and asks what Yusei will do if he does.

9th turn - Misty

The turn comes for Misty. She draws, gets, and summons [Reptiless Gardna - 4/0/2000: When this card is destroyed, add 1 "Reptiless" monster from your Deck to your hand] onto the field in defense position. Misty again activates the monster effect of Bad End - Queen Dragon, sending Sad Story - Unshaking Truth - onto the field the cemetery to call back Bad End - Queen Dragon from the graveyard onto the field in attack position.

As long as there is a continuous spell on the field, Bad End - Queen Dragon can revive as much as Misty wants. Misty expects Black Rose Dragon to be scattered this time, moving into battle phase and declares the attack of Bad End - Queen Dragon, "Calamity Stream!," to destroy Black Rose Dragon. This strike reduces Aki's LP to 1600 (1900+1600-1900). In addition to the monster effect of Bad End Queen Dragon, when the opponent receives battle damage from this monster's attack, the opponent must select 1 card on hand and send it to the graveyard while the player can draw a card. Thus, Aki selects to discard 1 card, and Misty draws a card. Misty ends her turn at this point.

10th turn - Aki

The turn moves to Aki. She draws a card, gets, and activates [Fragrance Storm - Spell: Destroy 1 face-up Plant-Type monster on the field and draw 1 card. If that card is a Plant-Type monster, you can reveal it to your opponent and draw 1 more card]. Sad Story - Unshaking Truth has already gone from Misty's field, so Aki doesn't have to return Fragrance Storm to be shuffled to her deck.

Reptiless Gardna
Monster Card
Fragrance Storm
Spell Card

Due to the effect of Fragrance Storm, Aki can destroy 1 Plant-Type monster on the field, which is Dark Verdure in this case, to draw a card. If the drawn card is a Plant-Type monster card, she can show it to the opponent to draw 1 more card. The card Aki gets from drawing is a Plant-Type monster, Copy Plant. She therefore shows it to Misty to draw 1 more card.

Aki then summons a tuner monster [Copy Plant - 1/0/0: Select 1 monster face-up on your opponent's side of the field to activate. Until the End Phase of this turn, this card will have the same level as the selected monster. This effect can only be used once per turn] onto the field in defense position. She next activates the monster effect of Dark Verdure in the cemetery. When a tuner monster is summoned to the field, Dark Verdure can be special summoned from the graveyard. Thus, Aki special summons Dark Verdure from the cemetery to the field in attack position.

Seeing Aki lining up low level monsters like this, Misty wonders what she is planning to do. Aki doesn't say anything but smiles evilly.

EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2

It's nearly sunset, and there isn't much time left. Mikage and Ushio have just arrived the duel place. Reaching Rua and Ruca, Ushio asks who is winning. Ruca would like to say that Aki seems to be winning but she is looking different and unstable now. In Aki's main phase II and ending phase, Aki sets up 2 face-down cards and ends her turn.

11th turn - Misty

Advance Force
Spell Card

It's now Misty's turn. She draws and gets Earthbound God, Ccarayhua. Misty tells Aki that this should be the end, activating her spell card [Advance Force - Continuous Spell: When Advance Summoning a Level 7 or higher monster, by Releasing a Level 5 or higher monster you control, you can decrease the number of monsters needed to Release for the Summon by 1]. According to its effect, Bad End - Queen Dragon can be used as 2 tributes. Misty releases Bad End - Queen Dragon as 2 tributes to call the god by offering her soul.

The tributes form into a heart-shape object that has already absorbed Satellite's people before [Earthbound God, Ccarayhua ~ Jibakushin Ccarayhua - 10/2800/1800: If this card is face-up on the field, you cannot Summon, Reverse Summon, or Special Summon a card with "Earthbound" in its name. If a Field Magic is not face-up on the field, this card's following effects are negated and this card is destroyed at the End Phase. 1) This card can attack the opposing player directly. 2) The opposing player cannot target this card with an attack. 3) This card cannot be affected by your opponent's Magic or Trap cards. 4) When this card is destroyed and sent to the Cemetery, destroy all cards on the field] is advance summoned onto the field in attack position. Rua, Ruca, Mikage, and Ushio are very stunned by seeing the giant form of The Lizard.

At the same time, Divine keeps attacking Yusei by Fireball. Yusei can't do anything but dodges it. He seems to activate something on his duel disk and asks Divine directly whether Divine did manage to kill Misty's younger brother and passed all blames of that crime to Aki. Seeing that Yusei has already figured out, Divine accepts straight that he did kill Misty's younger brother about a year ago.

During that time, Toby was locked on a bed and shocked by electricity for an experiment. Divine and some staffs were in a nearby room to observe his reaction. Divine didn't seem satisfied, so he told his staff to increase the power. A staff was afraid that it would be too dangerous if they raised it up. Divine told him that if Toby's latent power was at this rate, the boy would no longer be necessary to him. He didn't care how the boy would be, so he again ordered his staff to increase the power and the staff had to do so. Toby couldn't stand the enhanced level, so his heart eventually stopped beating and he passed away painfully.

Divine tells Yusei that Toby couldn't stand the experiment. Seeing how he reacted in that degree of the experiment, he concluded that Toby was useless for him. Nevertheless, Aki is an excellent material as she can always meet his expectation. Yusei can't forgive Divine for what he did. He jumps over to attack him, but Divine can dodge it. Divine tells Yusei to die this time and shows a spell card, Fireball. Yusei knows what is coming but can't get away from it. The room is finally blown up by Fireball. Yusei can grasp an edge to hang himself before he falls down.

Divine is afraid that Yusei's modesty is too bad as he should learn more about it. He shows another spell card, Psycho Sword, and plans to make Yusei disappear forever this time. Yusei doesn't look worried at all but laughs. Divine asks what he is laughing. Yusei climbs up the edge, smiles, and says that his duel disk is a hand-made one. He has recently turned on audio network of multi duels. The whole story up until now has already been heard by Misty. Yusei shows his duel disk which a green signal is beeping on. It is what he activated earlier to open the audio network's signal. Divine looks very shocked and quickly turns to Misty in the duel field.

Misty has already known the truth that Divine killed Toby, looking at him with full of hatred. Divine doesn't refuse and laughs out loud. He asks what's wrong with it as her younger was just incompetent. A person who can't reach his purpose isn't necessary to him. His words pull a trigger on Misty. She declares that she definitely won't forgive him. The one who makes judgment isn't herself but Earthbound God, Ccarayhua.

Earthbound God, Ccarayhua wraps Divine's body by its tongue and pulls him into the air. Everyone looks very shocked especially Rua. Ruca has to close her face as she can't stand seeing such a scene. Divine screams before he is swallowed by Earthbound God, Ccarayhua. Rua looks very frightened by that Divine has already been eaten. Misty calls and reminds herself Toby as their enemy has already been crushed down.

Without Divine, Aki looks much softer now but still looks confused. Misty turns to Aki at the same time the Dark Signer's pattern on her face disappears. She is now Misty Lola not a Dark Signer. Misty apologizes Aki. She has already understood that Toby's death isn't due to Aki's fault. This duel serves no purpose any longer, so Misty plans to surrender by placing her hand on the duel disk.

Suddenly, darkness begins to wrap Misty's body along with mysterious voice that he won't allow her to do so. Misty knees down and looks in pain. She can feel that the god inside is forcing her to defeat the Signer, Aki. Meanwhile, the Dark Signer's patterns are reappearing on her face. Yusei runs into the duel place and tells Misty that her vengeance has already been ended. He also turns to Aki and tells her to opens her eyes.

Aki hears that Yusei is calling her, so she gets up from Divine's mind control. She sees that Misty is keening down and struggling in control of the wicked god. Misty is afraid that she can't stop this duel by herself anymore. Both Yusei and Aki call her. Especially, Yusei is trying to encourage Misty not to be defeated by the wicked god. Misty begs Aki to defeat her right now, and she finally loses herself. The wicked god has completely taken control her body to resume the duel. To defeat the Signers is the Dark Signers' mission.

Yusei understands that the wicked god has completely taken Misty's body. He turns to Aki and tells her that the one who can stop Misty is only her. She understands it well and turns back to confront the true Dark Signer.

Ground Capture
Trap Card

Misty expects that this play will end it, declaring the direct attack of Earthbound God, Ccarayhua on Aki by its own special ability. Aki quickly opens her face-down trap card [Ground Capture - Trap: Activate when your opponent declares an attack. Halve the Battle Damage taken as a result of that battle. If the damage halved by this effect was 1000 points or more, draw 1 card from your Deck], which allows her to halve the battle damage she receives from an opponent's monster. By this strike, Aki's LP drops to 200 (1600-2800/2).

Anyway, the impact blows Aki away until she hits the ground. Aki gets up and activates the remaining effect off Ground Capture. If the halved damage is more than 1000, she can draw 1 card. Aki draws and gets Guard Hedge. Seeing Aki having only 200 LP left, Misty says that whatever Aki will do will be useless. She sets up a card and ends the turn. Aki realizes that if she wins this duel, Misty will be exterminated. However, she thinks that if she can destroy only Earthbound God, Ccarayhua, there may be some chance to save Misty.

12th turn - Aki

Aki draws a card with feeling that she would like to save Misty. The card she gets is Shining Rebirth. Aki then activates the monster effect of Copy Plant to have it copy a level of a plant-type monster on the field. She decides to have Copy Plant consume the same level 2 of Dark Verdure. Next, Aki normal summons [Guard Hedge - 3/0/2100: During Damage Calculations, you can activate this card by sending it from your hand to the Cemetery. A monster on your side of the field cannot be destroyed by battle and half its attack power until the End Phase of this turn] onto the field in attack position.

Shining Rebirth
Spell Card

Aki activates [Shining Rebirth - Spell: Activate by selecting 1 Synchro Monster in your Graveyard. By sending the appropriate Synchro Material Monsters from your side of the field to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon the selected monster from your Graveyard. (This Special Summon is treated as a Synchro Summon). The monster Special Summoned by this card cannot be destroyed this turn] from hand. According to its effect, she can target a synchro monster in the cemetery and send its required material monsters on the field to the graveyard to synchro summon that synchro monster from the graveyard to the field.

Aki tunes Copy Plant into Dark Verdure and Guard Hedge. "Chilling flames engulf the entire world. Pitch-dark flower, set into bloom! Synchro Summon! Resurrect, Black Rose Dragon!," Aki synchro summons to call Black Rose Dragon from her graveyard to the field in attack position. With the monster effect of Black Rose Dragon, all cards on the field can be destroyed. Aki plans to apply this effect to destroy Earthbound God, Ccarayhua as she expects that it would save Misty.

The wicked god inside Misty asks whether Aki is sure to defeat Misty. If she does so, Misty will be exterminated. Aki answers that Misty isn't the one whom she is going to defeat. She then activates the monster effect of Black Rose Dragon, "Black Rose Gale!," to destroy all cards on the field especially Earthbound God, Ccarayhua.

The wicked god understands Aki's simple thought that Misty will be saved if the god is defeated. That can't be easily happened. Misty activates her face-down trap card [Death Gazer - Trap: Activate when an effect to destroy cards on the field is activated. Inflict 300 points of damage to your opponent for each card that would be destroyed and sent to the Graveyard this turn]. Due to its effect, when an effect that destroys cards on the field is activated, this trap will inflict 300 damage points to the opponent or each card destroyed and sent to the graveyard in this turn.

Note: Anime presents at this moment that a card close to Death Gazer is Sad Story - Unshaking Truth -. This should be a mistake in animation picture. Misty sends Sad Story - Unshaking Truth - to the graveyard to call back Bad End - Queen Dragon in the 9th turn. Thus, Sad Story - Unshaking Truth - shouldn't be on the field now. It should be Sad Story - Dreadful Day -.

There are 7 cards expected to be destroyed by the effect of Black Rose Dragon: Reptiless Gardna, Earthbound God, Ccarayhua, Sad Story - Dreadful Day -, Advance Force, Mirror Labyrinth, Black Rose Dragon, and Aki's 1 face-down card. Thus, 2100 (7*300) will be inflicted to Aki. Misty is convinced by that Aki will be defeated by this play.

Aki sees the picture of beautiful Misty Lola coming along with the damage from Death Gazer. Misty asks Aki to save the world as a Signer. Tears are full on Aki's eyes as she hesitates to do so. Misty asks Aki to remember her and her younger brother. Aki has to make a decision. She opens her face-down trap card [Reflect Nature - Trap: In this turn, negate all effect damage caused by your opponent's card effects, and inflict the damage to your opponent instead]. This trap can negate the damage she is going to receive and counter it to the opponent.

Death Gazer
Trap Card
Reflect Nature
Trap Card

Misty is very shocked by seeing the damage reflecting to her. She screams as receiving the damage. The wicked god has been eliminated by this strike. Misty now is released from the wicked god. She thanks Aki for her help and reminds herself of her dear younger brother, Toby. Her body is blown away at the same time her LP drops to 0 (1000-2100). The pendant she got from Toby flies off her body, and Earthbound God, Ccarayhua is pulverized and disappears. The duel is ended by the victory of the Signer, Aki.

Duel End

Misty's pendant drops to the ground as her body is gone. Its cover is opened to show the picture of Misty and Toby following by sad melody from the pendant. The geoglyph of The Lizard then disappear. There is no more light as it has already been after sunset. Yusei and other people run into Aki and ask whether she is okay. Aki doesn't answer anyone as she isn't in a mood. Rua asks what's wrong with her. Aki keeps quiet and walks straight to the pendant of Misty.

Aki picks up Misty's pendant, sees the picture of her and Toby, and cries. Everyone knows that Aki is looking sad, but they no longer have time. Rua sees that the sun has already gone. Ushio wonders whether they haven't made it by the sunset. Mikage notes that at least people absorbed from the field should return to their towns.

Suddenly, there is great earthquake following by light shining like a pillar into the sky. Mikage notices that it comes from the city. Surprisingly, there is a new geoglyph in a shape of The Condor appearing after the light. Everyone is very astonished by what this figure means and what's happening.
