EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1

It's almost sunset when Satellite is still covered by a dark sphere. A mysterious guy is ride a small boat across the sea toward Satellite. Inside the last Lizard's tower, which is located inside the Monster House of the Monster World's theme park, the last Dark Signer, Misty, is looking at a picture of her taken with dear brother, [Toby]. She begins to cry thinking of him and looking very sad.

Meanwhile, Yusei, Ushio, Rua, and Ruca are now moving toward the Lizard's tower, which they are aware that it's the last seal Aki is heading to. Yusei is concerned by that if Aki can't seal it by the sunset, they can't close the door of the underworld. It's nearly sunset, and they don't have much time left. Aki is now on Mikage's car moving toward the Lizard's tower. She tells Mikage what Misty once told her that Aki gave despair to her family by killing her younger brother.

Mikage asks whether Misty's words are true. Aki answers that she can't remember anything. This makes Mikage think that Misty is misunderstanding. Aki doesn't think so because Misty's anger toward her isn't a fake act. Anyway, in order to respond to Yusei's and the others' feeling, she has to settle this down with the Dark Signer, Misty.

Mikage parks the car in front of the entrance of the Monster House's theme park. She gets off the car and suggests they split up and look for Misty quickly. Aki tells Mikage to be careful because they can't expect when a geoglyph will appear. Both of them then split up. Aki walks straight toward the Lizard's tower inside the Monster House.

Yusei, Ushio, Ruca, and Rua have finally arrived the entrance of the Monster World. Seeing the car of Aki and Mikage parking, Yusei thinks that both should be inside already. Ruca sees that they don't seem to start a duel yet. Yusei takes off his helmet and suggests people split up and search for them.

Mikage is now walking around water park's area. It seems sad to her that there is nobody in such a public place like this. The mysterious guy who earlier came across the sea then appears in front of her and comments that he agrees with her. Mikage looks frightened and asks who he is. The guy tells her to calm down as he isn't a suspicious guy. He introduces himself that he has come in an order of the director, Goodwin. Mikage looks surprised a bit after hearing her boss' name.

Ushio is now looking for Mikage near a clock ruin while Rua and Ruca are looking for Aki at the mary-go-round horses. Aki's movement is now captured by a sight of a lizard, which is transferred to Misty. Misty realizes that Aki has finally arrived, so she gets up and goes out for her. While Aki is walking, a door of the mirror house is opened. Aki sees a reflection of Misty running in the mirrors, so she quickly follows her inside.

Once Aki enters the mirror house, the door is shut down. She runs to the door and finds that she is now locked inside. Misty calls Aki, "Black Rose Witch!," and says that today is the date she will settle down with her and avenge her on her brother. The picture of Misty appears in all broken mirrors, but there is no sign of her true body.

Yusei is now looking for Aki at a street. Suddenly, a sign is falling from a roof, and he isn't aware of it. The mysterious guy yells to alert Yusei, so Yusei is able to dodge it. The mysterious guy asks whether Yusei is fine. Yusei thanks for his help and asks who the guy is. The guy introduces himself that he comes from the Public Security Maintenance Bureau under the order of the directory, Goodwin. He also shows his badge to Yusei as a proof. Yusei seems to have initial trust after hearing that this guy comes from Goodwin.

Yusei appreciates his concern but is afraid that here is too dangerous. The guy tells him that he has heard details from the director and already prepared for this. He is also aware that Aki definitely has to win for the city. Yusei understands the guy very well and doesn't want to stop him. He suggests they look for Aki together.

Inside the mirror house, Aki is confronting the reflections of Misty on the mirrors. Misty tells her to start a duel and she will let her know about her younger brother in details little by little. There is no way for Aki to escape. If Aki wants to seal the Ccarayhua's tower, Misty suggests she tries to get out this mirror labyrinth. She has a feeling that this duel with Aki will be much fun. Aki stands by her duel disk and accepts Misty's challenge. Both of them then declare to start a duel.

1st turn - Misty

The first turn is with Misty. She draws a card and activates field spell [Mirror Labyrinth ~ Kagami No Meikyuu Mirror Labyrinth - Field Spell: When you control no Level 5 or higher monsters but Level 4 or lower monsters, the monster can attack once again in during the Battle Phase].

Misty tells Aki that she is going to show her crime before activating permanent spell card [Sad Story - Sorrowful Memories - ~ Sad Story - Kanashimi No Kioku - Continuous Spell: During the turn this card is activated, no other Spell Cards can be activated. During both players' Draw Phase, if a drawn card is a Monster Card, it is returned to their Decks. Then, Shuffle the Deck]. Once this card is activated, Aki is pulled into a flashback of Misty's past. She is astonished by what this is.

Mirror Labyrinth
Field Spell Card
Sad Story - Sorrowful Memories -
Spell Card

Misty wasn't a Dark Signer and was in a living room. A boy with a uniform of a duel academy entered the room, looking for his sister. Misty called him, "Toby," who was truly her mentioned younger brother. Toby came to give a birthday's present for his sister. It's a golden pendant. Misty looked very happy and asked for penning it. Inside the pendant was a sceneric picture coming along with soft song. Misty thanked him for this lovely thing. She planned to put a picture of her and him into it. Misty then put the pendent on her neck (It's the same pendant she looks at the picture of her and Toby inside at the beginning of this episode).

Toby changed the topic and told his sister that he had met a person with the same power as his. He called the name of the person, "Aki Izayoi," surprising Aki currently looking at this flashback very much. Toby believed that Aki held the strongest power at the Arcadia Movement. Misty still looked confused by hearing the name of this organization. Toby corrected her sister not to misunderstand. It wasn't the place his sister was thinking about. Toby just wanted to use his power for everyone.

Aki understands clearly now that this boy in the flashback is truly Misty's younger brother. The picture of Misty as a Dark Signer appears on a mirror in the room of the flashback. Misty explains the effect of Sad Story - Sorrowful Memories - that if they draw and get a monster card, it has to be placed back to their decks and they have to shuffle the decks. By this, 1/3 of their cards have been sealed as they can't draw and play any new monster card. Aki comments that it doesn't include any cards that have been drawn on hand already. Misty tells her that she got it right. The flashback now disappears and Aki returns to the mirror labyrinth.

Reptiless Servant
Monster Card

In the first main phase, Misty summons [Reptiless Servant - 1/100/100: As long as this card is face-up on the field, both players cannot Summon a monster. If there is a monster on the field other than this card, this card is destroyed. Destroy this card when it is targeted by an effect of a Spell Card or Trap Card] onto the field in attack position. By its monster effect, both sides can't summon a monster as long as this monster is on the field. Misty asks whether this is wonderful and ends her turn at this point.

2nd turn - Aki

Aki draws a card to run her turn and gets Evil Thorn. Misty feels sorry to her as the effect of Sad Story - Sorrowful Memories - doesn't allow them to draw a monster card. Thus, Aki has to place Evil Thorn back to her deck and shuffle it. She decides to set up a face-down trap card, Rose Blizzard, and ends her turn. Misty then pauses the duel and invites Aki to move deeper into the mirror labyrinth. Her reflections along with the reflection of her monster, Reptiless Servant move from a mirror to another. Aki walks deeper into the labyrinth without knowing what's waiting ahead.

At the same time, Yusei is walking with the mysterious man and talking to him. The man asks whether Aki has a chance to win. Yusei answers confidently that she will win as he believes in her. The man feels that Yusei strongly believes in Aki. Yusei responds that it's of course because they are friends and begins to walk off.

Suddenly, the man calls Yusei's attention to a small building ahead and says that he has just seen a shadow of a person. Yusei quickly runs into it, calling for Aki and Mikage. He doesn't see anyone before crossing his eyes to the body of Mikage beneath cells on the floor. Mikage appears unconscious and doesn't respond to Yusei's call. Yusei tells her to hang on as he is going to save her now.

Suddenly, [Fireball ~ Hinotama - Spell: Inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points] is fired toward Yusei, so he has to jump and dodge it. He looks up and sees the mysterious man standing out there.. The man is annoyed by hearing Yusei call Aki his friend earlier. He notes that Yusei's presence is just an eyesore to him. Yusei realizes that the man did hit him by the fireball. The man tells Yusei to get it out from him by force if Yusei wants to know about him.

The man then activates [Psycho Sword - Equipment Spell: Equip only to a Psychic-Type monster. If your Life Points are lower than your opponent's, the equipped monster gains ATK equal to the difference (max. 2000)] and equips it with himself. He approaches Yusei with it. Yusei has realized that the man is a Psychic duelist. He is now blocking the sword by his duel disk. The mysterious man is laughing while pushing Psycho Sword against Yusei. Along with his appearance and Psychic-duelist type, he is clearly nobody else but Divine.

EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2

3rd turn - Misty

Misty leads Aki to walk deeper into the mirror labyrinth. When they reach a corner, Misty draws to run her turn. She activates continuous spell card [Sad Story - Unshaking Truth - Sad Story - ~ Yuruganai Shinjitsu - - Continuous Spell: During the turn this card is activated, no other Spell Cards can be activated. During both players' Draw Phase, if a drawn card is a Spell Card, it is returned to their Decks. Then, Shuffle the Deck]. This card again bring a flashback when Aki entered Arcadia Movement.

In a day, Toby ran into Aki and introduced himself to him. Aki looked unfriendly when the boy tried to greet her. Toby said that he would like to be like her and asked how he could do so. Aki answered that Divine just told her what to do. She suggested the boy did what Divine said and left him by her cold eyes.

Seeing this scene, Aki has just realized that this boy is truly Misty's younger brother. The flashback disappears, and they return to the mirror labyrinth. Misty reminds Aki of her brother's name, Toby, and describes the effect of Sad Story - Unshaking Truth -. If a card drawn in draw phase is a spell card, it has to be placed back to the deck. Then, the deck will be shuffled.

Aki understands that this mean spell cards have been sealed. She thinks that she may be pushed to a corner if she can't use both monster and spell cards. Anyway, this restricted condition applies to Misty as well. Misty enters her battle phase and declares a direct attack of Reptiless Servant toward Aki. This strike breaks many mirrors around her and reduces her LP to 3900 (4000-100).

Yusei is now fighting Divine who attacks him by Psycho Sword and Fireball. Yusei tries to dodge around and asks who Divine is. He wonders whether Divine is the Dark Signers' minions. Divine just says that Aki belongs to him and she doesn't need any friend. Yusei asks whether Divine doesn't understand that if Aki can't settle this down by sunset, the world will be destroyed. Divine tells him that it isn't his business and attacks Yusei again by his Psycho Sword. Yusei blocks it by his duel disk, but Divine this time hits his stomach by Psycho Sword. When Yusei's movement is paused because of pain, Divine kicks him down to the underground where Mikage's body is.

Divine laughs and closes the hatch to lock Yusei and Mikage down there. He tells Yusei that Aki can shine only in the world he wishes. Divine then steps back and fires another Fireball to burn and damage the hatch. Yusei gets up and tries to wake up Mikage. Water then begins to flow in. Yusei sees that this is the worst as they are now trapped. Divine laughs and walks away, expecting Yusei and Mikage to be drown.

Still in Misty's turn, she activates the effect of the field spell, Mirror Labyrinth. If there is no monster with level 5 or higher on both fields, a monster can attack one more time in the same battle phase. There is only Reptiless Servant with level 1 on the field, so it can do a attack once more time. Aki receives another direct hit, and her LP drops to 3800 (3900-100). Misty tells Aki that she won't let be beaten easily. She sets up a face-down card and ends the turn.

Aki looks at the cards on her hand, which are Reflect Nature, Guard Hedge, Black Rose Witch, and Seed of Deception. If she draws a card and gets either a spell or monster card, it will return to her deck. Another trouble is Reptiless Servant, which she has to do something with.

4th turn - Aki

Aki draws and gets Illusion Destruction. Setting it up, she ends her turn without doing anything else. Misty understands that Aki is lucky to draw a trap card. She then invites Aki to walk further into the Mirror Labyrinth. They stop at another corner and the duel is resumed.

5th turn - Misty

Misty draws a card and places it to her hand. This means the card should be a trap card. Misty tells Aki that she is going to show her that day again, activating continuous spell [Sad Story - Dreadful Day - ~ Sad Story - Imubeki Hi - - Continuous Spell: During the turn this card is activated, no other Spell Cards can be activated. During both players' Draw Phase, if a drawn card is a Trap Card, it is returned to their Decks. Then, Shuffle the Deck]. Another flashback appears at Diamon Area.

At that time in Diamon Area, Black Rose Dragon of Black Rose Witch Aki was driving itself recklessly and destroying everything. People were running around while surroundings were being destroyed. Toby got into the incident by chance and became a victim. Some construction collapsed over him and killed him on that day.

Aki trembles after seeing this scene. As far as she remembers, there was no casualty in that duel. Such a thing shouldn't have happened. Misty notes that Arcadia Movement can hush up all kinds of bad truth. She expects her to realize it well. Aki looks confused as she doesn't want to believe it.

Misty resumes the duel by explaining the effect of Sad Story - Dreadful Day - Sad Story -. If a player draws a trap card, it has to be shuffled back to the deck. By this, both Misty and Aki can't draw, monster, spell, or trap cards. Misty just wants Aki to taste Toby's pain nicely. She laughs as her picture appears on reflection over all mirrors. Aki still looks confused and tries to deny everything. Everything should be fake.

Illusion Destruction
Trap Card

Aki opens her face-down trap card [Illusion Destruction ~ Genei Hakai - Trap: Activate this card by selecting 1 face-up card on the field. Flip the card face-down]. She expects it to destroy all illusions. Illusion Destruction can flip 1 card on the field face-down. The card Aki selects is Reptiless Servant. Misty is annoyed as Aki is aware of Reptiless Servant's monster effect. When it is targeted by an effect of a spell or trap card, it will be destroyed. Thus, Reptiless Servant is destroyed rather than flipped down.

Aki accepts that Toby might come to make a contact with her but she can't remember anything about Toby. She can't recall either that Toby got into the incident on that day. Misty blames Aki that she is making an excuse for having Toby get involved without her awareness. Aki corrects Misty that she is wrong as it isn't an excuse.

Misty doesn't want to listen to Aki anymore and opens her face-down trap card [Bad End - Sorrowful Chain ~ Bad End - Kanashimi No Rensa - - Trap: You can activate this card only when "Sad Story - Sorrowful Memories", "Sad Story - Unshaking Truth" and "Sad Story - Dreadful Day" are face-up on your side of the field. Special Summon 1 "Bad End Queen Dragon" from your hand or Deck], which creates another flashback.

It's the date after Toby was dead. Misty was crying heavily on the corpse of her younger brother. Aki can't stand such a scene and still confirms that she knows nothing. Misty tells her that sorrow is always chained. At that time, she couldn't stand living in the world without Toby. Misty was driving, and her car jumped off the cliff into the sea. She was taken into the hospital and died. It's the time when she saw The Lizard and got consumed to become a Dark Signer (episode 38). Misty says that Aki did kill her as well. Aki looks scared as Misty keeps calling it to be all her guilt.

Meanwhile, water is flowing into the room where Mikage and Yusei are trapped inside. Mikage tries to yell and asks for help. She also calls her master Jack to come for her. Not too far, Ushio is coming across an ID of the Public Security Maintenance Bureau dropped on the ground. He doubts how the ID is left here and opens it up. Ushio sees that the ID belongs to his dear Mikage. There is also a small picture of Jack on it, making Ushio annoyed very much. Ushio gets mad and says that he won't forgive Jack Atlus (to be enemy of his love). Ushio then hears the voice of Mikage asking for help. He quickly follows her voice into a nearby building.

Aki feels very frustrated now as she can't fight anymore. Misty is reasonable to blame her. Toby and Misty both died because of her. When Aki is blaming herself, she steps on a rock and is about to fall onto a broken piece of mirror. Divine quickly jumps in and saves her. He tells her to hang on. Aki wonders who this guy is. Divine tells her that he is her ally and shows her his true face. Aki is very surprised by seeing Divine. She understands that Divine has already died after she saw him falling from the building of Arcadia Movement (episode 39).

Aki looks happy to see that Divine is still alive. Divine encourages Aki to keep on fighting. Aki refuses as she can no longer fight. Divine convinces her to do. He was aware that her concealed abilities were too strong, so he sealed them without having her know. Now, it's time to unseal them and release Aki's true power. The key words to unseal them are "The entrance to the underworld is on the witch's island." Divine whispers those words to Aki's eyes.

Suddenly, Aki's heart begins to beat strongly. The seal inside her body has been broken, and her power is released to create significant impact to the surroundings. Divine tells Aki to defeat Misty as he knows that her power is far superior than the Dark Signer. He steps back and leaves Aki on the duel. Aki's power creates gust of wind until her hair decoration is broken.

On the other side, Ushio finally finds Mikage and Yusei trapped beneath the cells where water is filled in. Yusei asks Ushio to open the hatch quickly. Ushio tries to lift it up but doesn't succeed, so he gets a stick to help him open it.

Bad End Queen Dragon
Monster Card

Misty sees that Aki has finally showed her true self. Aki calls herself Black Rose Witch. She says that one who will disappear from this world is Misty. Misty activates the effect of Bad End - Sorrowful Chain - at this moment. If there are 3 Sad Story cards, which are Sorrowful Memories, Unshaking Truth, and Dreadful Day, on the field, she is able to special summon [Bad End Queen Dragon - 6/1900/2600: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, your opponent selects 1 card from hand and sends it to the Graveyard and you draw 1 card. When this card is in your Graveyard after being sent from the Field to the Graveyard, you can send 1 Continuous Spell Card from your side of the field to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card to your field] onto the field in attack position.

Aki smiles evilly after seeing Bad End Queen Dragon special summoned. Misty doesn't like her attitude at all and plans to make her face twist in pain. She then declares the attack of Bad End Queen Dragon toward Aki directly, "Calamity Stream!" Aki receives the direct hit without changing her face. Her LP drops to 1900 (3800-1900). In addition to the monster effect of Bad End Queen Dragon, when the opponent receives battle damage from this monster's attack, the opponent must select 1 card on hand and send it to the graveyard.

Aki selects to discard Guard Hedge. Furthermore, when the opponent receives battle damage from Bad End Queen Dragon's attack, Misty is allowed to draw a card. Because this draw isn't in Draw Phase, the effect of her Sad Story combo is ineffective. Misty ends her turn at this point.

6th turn - Aki

Aki calls her turn, draws a card, and gets Violet Witch. According to the effect of Sad Story - Sorrowful Memories -, it has to be shuffled back to her deck. Aki then normal summons a tune monster [Black Rose Witch - 4/1700/200: When this card is Normal Summoned, draw 1 card from your deck.If the drawn is not a Monster Card, destroy this card] onto the field in attack position. When this card is normal summoned, it allows Aki to draw 1 card. If it isn't a monster card, Black Rose Witch must be destroyed. Aki remembers Misty has just said earlier that a draw outside Draw Phase isn't targeted by the Sad Story's combo.

Aki draws and gets a monster card, Rose Fairy. It satisfies the condition of Black Rose Witch, so Black Rose Witch isn't destroyed. Aki activates the monster effect of [Rose Fairy - 3/600/1200: When this card is added from your Deck to your hand by an effect of a Monster, Spell or Trap card, you can Special Summon this monster to your field]. When it is added from her deck to her hand by a card's effect, which is Black Rose Witch in this case, it can be special summoned to the field. Aki therefore special summons it to the field in attack position.

Black Rose Witch
Tuner Monster Card
Rose Fairy
Monster Card

Aki tunes Black Rose Witch into Rose Fairy. "Chilling flames engulf the entire world. Pitch-dark flower, set into bloom! Synchro Summon! Appear, Black Rose Dragon!" she calls and synchro summons [Black Rose Dragon - 7/2400/1800: When this card is Synchro Summoned successfully, you can destroy all cards on the field. Once per turn, by removing from play 1 Plant-Type monster in your Graveyard, the ATK of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls becomes 0 until the End Phase of this turn] onto the field in attack position.

Note: Black Rose Witch (Tuner Monster) has 4 stars while Rose Fairy (Non-Tuner Monster) has 3 stars. Their stars are added up to 7 (4+3), the star level of Black Rose Dragon (Synchro Monster) exactly.

Once Black Rose Dragon is summoned, its tremendous power destroys the whole mirror house and reveals the true identity of Misty. It also creates swirling wind that can be clearly seen by Rua and Ruca looking for Aki. Meanwhile, Ushio is trying to open the hatch to save Yusei and Mikage trapped into water but he hasn't succeeded yet.

The mirror house is totally destroyed by the power of Black Rose Dragon. Aki is now standing in front of the true body of Misty. The tower of The Lizard is standing behind her. The battlefield is still wrapped by the field spell, Mirror Labyrinth. Divine is now inside a nearby building and observing the duel. Aki has bee moving in the way he wishes. Divine wants her to erase everyone standing in their way so that they can recreate Arcadia Movement together. He laughs out loud as his plan nearly comes true. Anyway, the true battle between Aki and Misty is about to begin.

To be continued...
