EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1

After Yusei can defeat Rudger and Earthbound God, Uru, the souls of Satellite people absorbed into the Earthbound God are freed. Those people include Yusei's friends, Blitz, Rally, Taka, and Nerve and also Marsa, whose soul is taken when she tried to save Takuya (episode 46). Marsa is surprised by that she has been saved. She then looks around for the kids but don't see them and Yusei anywhere.

At the base of the Dark Signers where Yusei dueled Rudger, Rudger who is about to vanish after his defeat declares that he won't let Yusei get out of this place. He then takes off his artificial left to detonate a bomb. The explosion destroys the bridge where Yusei is on. Yusei can't grasp anything and finally falls into hole full of dark energy. His friends are getting shocked as seeing Yusei falling and screaming.

On the other side, it's now Jack's turn for his destined fight. He is heading toward the tower of The Hummingbird or Aslla Piscu, where Carly is waiting for. He rides uphill and faces a big rock. Anyway, Jack manages to hit the rock upfront and breaks through it as if it isn't there. His face doesn't show any feeling. He stops after that as the target tower is right in front of him. Jack wonders whether Carly is really there. He reminds himself of his good memory with her in the past (episode 31). Looking at her glass he keeps precisely, Jack still doesn't understand why Carly turns into a Dark Signer.

To find an answer, Jack rides closer to the tower and yells out to tell Carly to respond to him if she is here. Sound of a bike turns Jack's attention to the other side of the tower. Carly appears in a red D-Wheel, rides toward Jack, jumps over him, rides in a half-circle, and finally stops in front of Jack. Jack looks very astonished.

Carly takes off her helmet and greets Jack that she has waited for him. Jack still wonders whether this lady is truly Carly. Carly explains that she revived from the edge of the death in order to meet him. Jack asks what she means and what actually happened to her. Carly tells him the truth that she got killed by Divine after sneaking into Arcadia Movement. Jack looks very shocked by the fact that he isn't aware. Earlier (episode 37), Carly dueled Divine and was defeated. Her body broke the glass window and fell from the skyscraper.

Jack doesn't want to accept it and asks why she did that. Carly says that she just wanted to get close to him a little more. Jack tells her that he thought Carly was sacrificed to an Earthbound God. Another thought is that he wants to defeat the Dark Signer. Jack holds his fist tightly while telling his expectation. Carly can read through Jack's mind that he may get her back if he can defeat the Dark Signer. She hopes Jack isn't saying that he can't fight her. Jack tells her to stop joking around and points at her. If Carly truly aims a bow to him, he will break it by force.

That's what Carly has expected from Jack. She reminds him that she is a Dark Signer while he is a Signer who have been bound by hateful destiny. The Hummingbird's birthmark on Carly's right arm then glows and a flaming geoglyph is created on the ground in form of Nazca Line - The Hummingbird. This flaming geoglyph is also a riding duel field for their battle. Carly puts on her helmet and tells Jack that the stage has already been set, so they should begin their duel of destiny now. Both of them then take off their D-Wheels together. Jack looks at Carly riding in the front line and still doubts whether Carly is serious to fight him. The reflection of the flaming geoglyph on the ground appears in the dark sky. Aki and Mikage see it and realizes that Jack's battle has already started. Mikage seems concerned about Jack.

While leading, Carly tells Jack that destiny is so ironic that she became a Dark Signer to meet him and he finally came for her. Jack asks what she wants to talk. Carly means that Jack can't avoid the destiny. In other words, this duel and their meeting have been destined. Carly then tells Jack to set up the speed field, Speed World, to begin their riding duel. Jack says that she doesn't need to tell him to do so. He activates [Speed World - Field Spell: When you play a Magic card other than a Magic card with "Speed Spell" in its name, you receive 2000 points of damage. Both player's, during their Standby Phases, place 1 Speed Counter for themselves on this card. (A maximum of 12 for each player.) Reduce 1 of your own Speed Counters for every increment of 1000 of damage you receive at once] field spell on his D-Wheel, changing the field to a riding duel field.

Seeing Jack getting serious to duel, Carly looks very pleased. A duelist ignoring can't be forgiven. This explains why Jack is her chosen man because he is going to fight in any kind of situations. Jack tells Carly that if Carly wants to die, he will grant her wish by this duel of destiny. Both of them cross their eyes before declaring to start the duel at the same time. Following the basic rule of a riding duel, Carly says that the one who passes the first corner will get the first turn (The same rule also applies to Yusei's duel with Kiryu in episode 54). She challenges Jack to do so if he thinks he can.

Jack thinks that he will prove Carly's true act by this duel. He then speeds up in order to pass her. Carly has already prepared for it. When Jack is about to pass her, she hits him against the flaming wall. Jack screams in pain before slowing down and getting back. Carly laughs and finally passes the first corner before Jack. By this, she gets the first turn (Her act is truly the same as Kiryu who tried to pass Yusei by hitting him).

1st turn - Carly

Carly's SPCs 0
Jack's SPCs 0

According to the effect of Speed World, no Speed Counter increases in the first turn of the game. Thus, the number of SPCs is 0 on both sides. Drawing a card, she summons [Fortune Lady Lighty - 1/?/?: This card's level upgrades by 1 every Standby Phase. (Maximum of level 12.) This card's attack and defense power is this card's level x 200. When this card , on your side of the field, is removed from you side of the field, you can Special Summon 1 monster with "Fortune Lady" in its name from your deck to your side of the field] onto the field in defense  position. The other cards on her hand are Fortune Lady Earthy, Class Change, Fortune Inherit, and Fortune Lady Watery.

Carly explains that the level of this monster can increase by 1 in each turn, and its defense power is now 200 (1*200), which is equal to 200 for each level (In other words, its ATK will increase by 200 in every turn following increase in its level).

Carly picks up a card and thinks about the past right right after when she became a Dark Signer. She was sitting alone in a room and seemed to be in her normal sense. Carly still looked confused at that time and didn't understand how she was chosen to become a Dark Signer. She talked to herself as she didn't know what she should do next.

When Carly was about to cry, the voice of Rudger came from the ceiling. Carly looked up but didn't see anybody but heard of the voice. Rudger told Carly that if she would like to know answer, she should tell a fortune for her destiny by herself. He guided that she should choose destiny assigned to her by her fortune teller. It's what Carly normally did in her normal life as she usually picked up a card to tell her daily fortune.

Carly therefore took out her deck to pick a card from it and tell her fortune. A card in the middle shined as if it's her destiny. Without a doubt, Carly picked it and it appeared to be a trap card, Prophecy of the Future King. The card told the future of Carly as a Dark Signer and then changed her eyes into the eyes of a Dark Signer. This trap card is what Carly is looking at right now. She sets it up and ends her turn. Carly calls for Jack's turn and tells him to prepare himself.

2nd turn - Jack

Carly's SPCs 1
Jack's SPCs 1

Jack calls for his turn loudly before drawing a card. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added into his and Carly's SPC gauges following the effect of Speed World. Both result in 1 SPC evenly. Jack looks at the card he drew and ends his turn without doing anything. Carly asks what Jack is doing by not summoning a monster or setting up a card. She thinks that Jack may be prepared to accept his own destiny. If this is truly his wish, Carly plans to get serious to take his life by everything she has.

3rd turn - Carly

Carly's SPCs 2
Jack's SPCs 2

Carly draws to run her turn. In her standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added into her and Jack's SPC gauges following the effect of Speed World. Both result in 2 SPCs evenly. With the monster effect of Fortune Lady Lighty, its level now increases to 2 (1+1) and its defense power increases to 400 (2*200).

Carly pays a cost to advance summon [Fortune Lady Earthy - 6/?/?: This card's level upgrades by 1 every Standby Phase. (Maximum of level 12.) This card's attack and defense power is this card's level x 400. Each time the Level of a face-up "Fortune Lady" monster(s) you control is increased, inflict 400 damage to your opponent] onto the field in attack position by releasing Fortune Lady Lighty on the field.

In addition to the monster effect of Fortune Lady Lighty, Carly is able to special summon a Fortune Lady monster from her deck when Fortune Lady Lighty is removed from the field. Thus, she special summons [Fortune Lady Darky - 5/?/?: This card's level upgrades by 1 every Standby Phase. (Maximum of level 12.) This card's attack and defense power is this card's level x 400. While you control this face-up card, when a face-up "Fortune Lady" monster you control destroys your opponent's monster by battle, increase the Level of 1 "Fortune Lady" you control by 1] from her deck onto the field in attack position.

Fortune Lady Darky
Monster Card

The attack power of these 2 monsters can increase by 400 following their monster effects. Fortune Lady Earthy has level 6 while Fortune Lady Darky has level 5. Their attack points therefore are 2400 (6*400) and 2000 (5*400) respectively. Jack looks very stunned by such powerful ATK. If both monsters attack, his life will be gone. Carly tells Jack that it will be hurt, so Jack should be prepared for it. Jack still looks uncertain and isn't sure whether Carly is serious about it.

Carly starts her battle by the direct attack of Fortune Lady Earthy, "Cursed Skewer!". Many sharp spikes emerge from the riding ground and hurt Jack. He screams in pain before his D-Wheel spins. This strike reduces Jack's LP to 1600 (4000-2400). Because he loses more than 1000 LP by a strike, his SPC decreases by 2 (2400/1000: remainders are irrelevant) according the effect of Speed World. The number of his SPC is now 0 (2-2).

Carly's SPCs 2
Jack's SPCs 0

Jack is bleeding and groaning in pain. Carly then declares the second direct attack by the strike of Fortune Lady Darky, "Dark Faith!". Coming to this point, Jack doesn't understand Carly at all and tries to recall Carly in his memory. Carly used to treat him well and hoped that his wound will recover soon. This makes Jack realize that Carly isn't a girl who can hurt anyone. At the moment when another direct attack is coming, Jack activates a monster effect of a monster on his hand. This effect can be activated during the battle phase when he receives a direct attack from an opponent's monster.

Ogre of the Bloody Tears
Monster Card

When the second attack is about to come, he can special summon [Ogre of the Bloody Tears ~ Getsurui no Ooga - 4/0/0: During the Battle Phase of the turn you took damage as a result of a direct attack from your opponent's attacking monster, when your opponent declares the second direct attack, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. This card's ATK and DEF become equal to the amount of damage you took from the direct attack. Your opponent's monster that declared the second direct attack must then attack this card] from his hand onto the field in attack position.

According to its effect, the attack and defense of this monster are equal to the damage he received. Jack has just received 2400 damage from the ATK of Fortune Lady Earthy, so the attack and defense power of Ogre of the Bloody Tears become the same 2400. Also, the second direct attack is forced to attack this monster.

Ogre of the Bloody Tears therefore counterattacks and destroys Fortune Lady Darky. This makes Carly's LP decrease to 3600 (4000+2000-2400). Carly sees that Jack has turned to fight back; however, she still thinks that he can't oppose his destiny after all. Setting up another face-down card, she ends his turn. Carly then challenges Jack to come after her if he plans to assault. Jack can't think of anything but that Carly is controlled by something. He swears to himself that he must get her back although he has to give up his life.

EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2
Aki is now looking at her glowing dragon's birthmark that is responding to the duel of Jack. Meanwhile, she is thinking about the Dark Signers who declare a war against the Signers. They are the destined opponents. Thus, Aki wonders who Jack is fighting now. Rather, she would like to know what kind of relationship or destiny Jack has with that person (Nobody knows relationship between Jack and Carly besides Mikage. However, Mikage isn't aware that Carly is now a Dark Signer).

Aki sees Mikage's look and doubts whether she is worried about Jack. Mikage tries to keep herself up by saying that there is nothing to be worried. There is no way Jack will lose. Although Mikage says so, she looks very concerned about him. She reminds herself of when she saw Jack taking out Carly's glass (episode 43). It makes her understand that Jack's heart has already been at the level she can't reach. The person in Jack's mind is always the owner of the glass, Carly, not her.

4th turn - Jack

Carly's SPCs 3
Jack's SPCs 1

The turn comes to Jack, and he draws a card. In his standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added into his and Carly's SPC gauges following the effect of Speed World. Jack results in 1 SPCs (0+1) while Carly results in 3 SPCs (2+1) respectively. The cards on Jack's hand now are Shock Wave, Dark Resonator, Power Supplier, Vice Dragon, and Sp - Half Size.

At this moment, Jack sees that Fortune Lady Earthy and Ogre of the Bloody Tears have the same 2400 ATK. It's a draw. Thus, Jack decides to summon [Power Supplier 2/400/400: Once per turn, activate by selecting 1 face-up monster you control. It gains 400 ATK until the End Phase] onto the field in defense position. The monster effect of Power Supplier can increase the ATK of Ogre of the Bloody Tears by 400 points. Therefore, the ATK of Ogre of the Bloody Tears will become 2800 (2400+400).

At this moment, Carly opens trap card [Twist of Fate ~ Unmei Wankyoku - Counter Trap: Activate this card if the only face-up monsters you control are "Fortune Lady" monsters. Negate the activation of a Spell or Trap Card or a Normal Summon of your opponent's monster, and return that card to your opponent's hand. The card returned to the hand by this effect cannot be used during this turn], which can negate the normal summon of Power Supplier and return it to Jack's hand. By this, the ATK of Ogre of the Bloody Tears doesn't increase and remains at 2400.

Carly is afraid that whatever Jack is trying to do is useless. His destiny has already been determined. Jack is now analyzing the overall move. It isn't just that Ogre of the Bloody Tears is stopped gaining attack power. When Carly's next turn comes, Fortune Lady Earthy's attack will increase by its monster effect and exceed Ogre of the Bloody Tears. Jack looks at a trap card on his hand, Change Destiny, decides to set it up, and ends his turn. Carly is surprised by that Jack stops his move in this turn at this point. It wasn't as much as she has expected, but it's fine for her anyway.

5th turn - Carly

Carly's SPCs 4
Jack's SPCs 2

The turn moves to Carly as she draws a card. In her standby phase, 1 Speed Counter is added into her and Jack's SPC gauges following the effect of Speed World. Carly results in 4 SPCs (3+1) while Jack results in 2 SPCs (1+1) respectively. She tells Jack that she will finish him off completely in this turn. Jack tells her to bring it on if she thinks that she can do so. Carly chuckles and plans not to take it easy on him although he tries to stay strong.

Carly goes by activating the monster effect of Fortune Lady Earthy. As Jack has expected, the level of Fortune Lady Earthy goes by 1 from 6 to 7. Its ATK therefore becomes 2800 (400*7). In addition to the effect of Fortune Lady Earthy, 400 damage points will be inflicted to Jack each time a level of a Fortune Lady monster increases. Because the level of Fortune Lady Earthy has just increased, Jack has to receive 400 damage points. His LP decreases to 1200 (1600-400) along with his scream in pain.

Carly moves to the battle phase by declaring the attack of Fortune Lady Earthy, "Cursed Skewer!", to destroy Ogre of the Bloody Tears. This strike drives Jack's LP down to 800 (1200+2400-2800). Jack finally loses control over his D-Wheel and stops in the middle of game. Carly rides back to him and laughs with please. Jack tries to hold himself up as he won't be stopped at this level. He is now injured with blood on his face. Carly tells him that their destiny is about to begin very soon.

Jack argues that such a destiny doesn't exist and he will wake Carly up by his own hands. Carly says that the one needed to be awakened is Jack. This duel is a fight for her and Jack to be together. When an outcome of this match is decided, they will be promised in eternal destiny. That's what a card told her through fortune. It's the trap card Carly earlier picked from her deck to choose their destiny. She is looking at this trap card set up already. Jack wonders by what she means.

Prophecy of the Future King
Trap Card

Carly reveals the destiny she chose at that time, opening her face-down destined trap card [Prophecy of the Future King ~ Miraiou no Yogen - Trap: When a monster of your opponent's is destroyed as a result of a Spellcaster-Type monster you control attacking, activate at the end of that Damage Step. That monster can attack once again in a row. During the turn in which this card is activated, you cannot Normal, Flip, or Special Summon]. Once this trap is activated, it shines brightly and brings Jack into illusion.

On the other hand, Rua, Ruca, and Ushio are still shocking after seeing Yusei falling into the deepest of the Dark Signer's hole full currently of Mormetn energy. Crow has finally joined the group. All are calling for Yusei. Rua begins to cry as he thinks that Yusei is dead. Crow tells him to shut up as Yusei isn't the guy to die at the place like this. He strongly believes that Yusei just fell into the hole, nothing more than that.

At the bottom of the hole deep through the Mormetn energy, Yusei's body is on the ground. He finally wakes up and wonders where he is. He even doubts whether he is dead. Then, many spirits emerge from the ground and surround Yusei. They begin to catch him and doubt him very much. The spirits approach Yusei in all directions. Yusei looks scared and asks what they are going to do with him. They don't seem able to communicate, and the spirits keep approaching him. Yusei screams and asks them to stop.

A spirit grasps Yusei's right arm and makes his dragon's birthmark glow. This makes Yusei see the past of what happened here. When the old Mormetn exploded and Zero Reverse occurred, the earth split apart. Many people fell into the crack and died. Yusei has realized that these spirits are those people who lost their lives in that incident. He can feel that the spirits don't like him as his connection to the incident has brought him here. The body of Yusei is then absorbed into the ground, starting from his legs. Yusei looks up and sees the spirits approaching him as if they are pressing him down, making him cry out loud.

In darkness, Carly is calling Jack to open his eyes. She sees him off and on in his sleep, asking whether he saw a bad dream. Jack appears to be in a large room while Carly is still in a form of a Dark Signer. Furthermore, he is also in a Dark Signer's form like her. Jack still looks confused by what's going on. He sees the birthmark on his right arm and becomes very surprised. It isn't the Crimson dragon's birthmark but the Hummingbird's birthmark, the sign of the Dark Signer which Carly always belongs to.

Jack wonders who he can possess the birthmark of the Dark Signer. Carly tells him to calm down and says that he may be stuck in the middle of his dream. Jack asks Carly what this means. When he is about to ask what's going on with him, he crosses his eyes over Carly through a mirror behind and sees himself in a Dark Signer's form on the bed. Carly gets closer to him and tells him to recall that his soul has already been taken once. In other words, he was dead in the duel with her.

In the duel between Jack and Carly, the effect of Prophecy of the Future King allowed Fortune Lady Earthy to attack once more time. By this strike, Jack's LP reduced to 0 (800-2800). Jack fell from his D-Wheel to the ground. His defeat from this game also means his death. Carly held him up in her arms and revived him by her power. Jack became a Dark Signer since then.

Jack still looks confused and doesn't want to believe that he is now a Dark Signer. The outside world is now under destruction and ruins. The earth cracks and lava is flowing everywhere. It's truly the world of darkness. Seeing these scenes, Jack wonders by that it means. Carly asks whether he can remember. The 5,000 year battle between the Signers and the Dark Signers ended by the victory of the Dark Signers because Jack turned to their side. The dragons along with the Crimson Dragon were all destroyed by Jack and Carly and Jack laughed out loud like a king.

Thinking about this, Jack tells Carly that he has already remembered everything. Because of the victory the Dark Signers, the world turns into hell. Carly adds that it makes Jack become the high ruler of hell in this world or [Dark King]. Jack looks very pleased by this title as he was awakened from death to be the king. He doesn't need friends, bonds, or happiness. Here, the hell-like world is an ideal place for the true king like him to reign. Carly tells him that it's so wonderful. It's the world where they truly desire.

All of these scenes are the effect from the trap card, Prophecy of the Future King. It's the card that Carly early chose and saw her future with Jack as the Dark King. Thus, she decided to become a Dark Signer for this future. Jack seems to be in illusion which Prophecy of the Future King is showing him. Carly tells him that when she chose this card, she understood why she became a Dark Signer or what she would get from fighting Jack. Everything is for Carly to be together with Jack in the future.

Carly follows the path of Prophecy of the Future King by activating its effect to finish Jack off. It allows her monster, Fortune Lady Earthy, that could destroy a monster in this turn to attack once again. Carly declares the second attack of Fortune Lady Earthy, "Cursed Skewer!", toward Jack and invite Jack to go together for their future. Following the illusion, Jack is supposed to get this strike and defeated here.

Jack is murmuring about their future while a glass of Carly is dropping from his jacket onto the ground. Another vision appears in Jack's dream. Jack and Carly are now the Dark Signers sitting on a throne carried by dead spirits. Carly is glad to inform him that everything in the world has already turned their loyalty to the Dark King. Jack looks very pleased and understands that there should be no more human in the world.

The Dark King Jack then comes across a glass of Carly on the ground nearby. The picture of true Carly suddenly appears in his mind and makes him refuse everything. It's all wrong. The Dark King Jack points to Carly and argues that this is the world that she truly desires. Carly looks very surprised by seeing his reaction.

Change Destiny
Trap Card

Jack wakes up from his dream and opens his trap card [Change Destiny - Trap: Activate by selecting 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. Negate the attack of that 1 monster, and your opponent selects and activates 1 of the following effects. 1) Your opponent gains Life Points equal to the ATK of the monster whose attack was negated by this card's effect. 2) Inflict damage to the player equal to the ATK of the monster whose attack was negated by this card's effect] before the attack of Fortune Lady Earthy comes. This trap can negate the attack of Fortune Lady Earthy, so Jack survives from his destined death.

Carly asks why Jack has to oppose his destiny. If she wins, they can together obtain future of happiness. Jack picks up Carly's glass on the ground and calls that the illusion is a fake thing. It isn't the future they desire, and Carly taught him what is a real thing. Jack means true Carly as he shows her glass in his hand. He now looks very confident to his thought and the future that hasn't been determined.

Meanwhile, the spirits of the dead people from the explosion of the Old Mormetn are haunting Yusei and pressing him down to the ground. Yusei screams as he can't do anything with them. Then, some light shines from the dark sky along with familiar voice. The owner of the voice tries to explain the dead spirits that Yusei isn't involved with this and asks them to release him. The spirits seem to listen to him before they all shatter in the air.

Yusei's body turns back to the ground level. He looks up into the light and sees a shadow of a man in the middle. The man tells Yusei that it's too fast for him to come to this place. Yusei wonders who this man truly is. The light shines brighter until Yusei can't stare anymore and raises his arm to protect his eyes.
