Rudger finally tells Yusei that Dr. Fudo declared to stop development on the Mormetn because he was worried about its negative rotation that might cause serious accident. However, the sponsors and Neo Domino City don't want to accept it, so development was later transferred to Rudger. That's when Zero Reverse happened. Yusei doubts whether Rudger intentionally made the explosion. Rudger doesn't answer this question clearly but says, "Who knows!?". This reaction makes everyone believe that Rudger really did such a big crime. Jack looks very angry to hear what Rudger did.
Yusei yells at Rudger, asking him why Rudger had to do this and what his relation is exactly with Godwin and his father, Dr. Fudo. Rudger is afraid that Yusei has no time left for him to answer the question. He declares the monster effect of Earthbound God, Uru, "Hell Thread!", to attack Yusei directly. By this single blow, he believes that Yusei will be finished off.

At this moment, Yusei opens his face-down trap card [Iron Resolve - Trap: Activate by paying half of your Life Points. During this turn, Battle Damage done to you by battle is reduced to 0. Then, end the Battle Phase]. According to its effect, he can halve his LP to reduce battle damage to 0 and end the battle phase immediately. Thus, Yusei's LP drops to 800 (1800/2). A small barrier is created to protect him and reflect the spider thread of Earthbound God, Uru to another direction. The strike hits the surrounding spider web and creates actual shake around the places. Setting up a face-down card, Rudger ends his turn.
The strike impact causes the building where Ushio and Marsa are inside to collapse. Marsa loses her balance and is about to fall down. Ushio grasps her hand in time. At that moment, both of them hear scream of a boy coming from the roof. Yusei also hears the voice coming from the collapsing building. Ushio remembers well that this is Takuya's voice. Both Ushio and Marsa hurry to go to the roof of the building and find Takuya holding himself at the edge. Takuya is about to fall into the flaming geoglyph.
Without hesitating, Marsa tells Takuya that he is coming for him while moving closer to help him. Jack, Yusei, and Ushio call for her as seeing her trying to save Takuya. Marsa finally reaches Takuya at the edge. Takuya apologizes her as he just wants to help everyone out. Marsa says that it's fine. She is rather impressed by his courage to be a security. Marsa tells Takuya to get up. Both try to crawl slowly up to Ushio. Ushio hands over to catch them. Marsa pushes Takuya to go first. Once Ushio catches Takuya in his hands, the building shakes again. Marsa loses her grip and slides down to the edge which the flaming geoglyph is behind.

Marsa tries to climb up but she is powerless to do so. She keeps sliding down. Ushio calls her to keep up, but Marsa shakes her head. Ushio tells her that she can't give up yet. Marsa tells Ushio to take care of Takuya as he is Takuya's hero. Ushio is embarrassed by being called a hero as he has always looked down Satellite people. Yusei and Jack are calling Marsa from the ground. Marsa turns to them for last time and says that they are a good kid. She is convinced by that they will be the bridge between the city and Satellite.
Finishing her words, Marsa slides down and falls into the flaming geoglyph. Her soul and body is absorbed into Earthbound God, Uru in front of everyone's eyes. Yusei is very shocked and screams out loud for her. Jack looks in pain. The building shakes again, making Ushio and Takuya slide down. Ushio tries to protect Takuya and hold themselves not to fall further. Jun and Micchan are crying with Jack after they have lost Marsa. Jack is very angry and tells Yusei to beat up the Earthbound God quickly.
Aki reminds Yusei that Ushio and Takuya are in danger as they are about to fall. Ushio tells Yusei not to be worried about them and to hurry to settle the duel. Yusei counts on Ushio to take care of Takuya before facing up to confront Rudger and the Earthbound God. Rudger is chuckling as it's an unexpected fun for him. Yusei declares aggressively that he won't forgive Rudger definitely.

7th turn - Yusei
Yusei draws a card to run his turn. He then summons [Junk Synchron - 3/1300/500: When this card is successfully Normal
Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower monster
in your Graveyard in face-up defense mode. Any effects of an
Effect Monster Special Summoned by this effect are negated] onto the field in attack position. With the monster effect of Junk Synchron, Yusei can special summon a monster with level 2 or less from the cemetery onto the field in defense position. Thus, Oneshot Booster is special summoned onto the field.
Yusei then tunes Junk Synchron into Turret Warrior. "Clustering hopes will become a new, shining star! Become the path its light shines upon!, Synchro Summon! Fly out, Stardust Dragon!", he calls and synchro summons [Stardust Dragon - 8/2500/2000: When the effect of an Spell, Trap, or Effect monster is activated, that includes "destroy card(s) on the field", by releasing this card , you can negate the activation and destroy that card. In the End-Phase of a turn you use this effect, if the card is in your graveyard, you can Special Summon it to the field] onto the field in attack position.
Note: Junk Synchron (Tuner Monster) has 3 stars while Turret Warrior (Non-Tuner Monster) has 5 stars. Their stars are added up to 8 (3+5), the star level of Stardust Dragon (Synchro Monster) exactly.
Seeing Yusei make it to summon Stardust Dragon, Ushio feels encouraged to save Takuya. He begins to climb up to a take Takuya to a safe place. Rudger says that his Earthbound God has 3000 ATK. 2500 ATK of Stardust Dragon doesn't seem sufficient. Yusei responds that Marsa's and everyone's feeling is attached to this duel. Thus, he will finally defeat Rudger.
Yusei declares the attack of Stardust Dragon toward Earthbound God, Uru. Stardust Dragon flies into the sky and down to Earthbound God, Uru that counters by its spider thread. It somehow can fly through the body of the Earthbound God. Yusei repeats what Rudger has said that an Earthbound God has the ultimate effects of all monster effects. Those are effects to negate spell/trap of the opponent and prevent it from being an attack target. Rudger looks very mad after seeing Yusei able to catch a weak point of these ultimate effects.

Spider Egg
Trap Card |
Yusei clarifies that if the Earthbound God can't be an attack target, the only remaining target is Rudger. He takes this chance to declare the true attack of Stardust Dragon, "Shooting Sonic!", toward Rudger directly. Rudger quickly opens his face-down trap card [Spider Egg - Trap: You can Activate this card only when your opponent declares an attack. Negate the attack and Special Summon 3 "Spider Tokens" (Insect/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0)] to protect himself. This trap card can negate the attack of Stardust Dragon and special summon 3 Spider Tokens onto the field. Yusei sets up a face-down card and ends his turn at this point.
Ushio finally takes Takuya up to the wall. He yells out loud to tell Yusei that he's made it. Yusei is glad to see so that he no longer has to be worried. He turns to his unfinished business with Rudger as his last job is just to defeat him. Rudger doubts whether Yusei can do so before revealing the true body of the player. His body is changed into appearance of Rally.
Everyone is surprised and doesn't understand what's going on. Yusei begins to run into Rally but stops when he hears Rudger laughing from another directly. Rudger is standing on the spider web and laughing. He says that Yusei still has another friend to save. Yusei is very anger as realizing that Rudger has been controlling Rally for long.
Rudger explains that Rally's true mind has been freed by now. He is able to fight or to lose if he wants. In any case, surrender isn't an option, so Rudger tells Rally to do as he wishes. Yusei still looks confused and doesn't understand what Rudger means. Rally explains to Yusei that a loser in this game will disappear. Blitz, Taka, and Nerve are all gone because of Rudger. Yusei yells and gets very mad at him for what he did to his friends.
Note: Aki notes in the earlier episode (episode 45) that the flaming geoglyph looks different from usual. That is because Rudger has controlled Rally in his appearance to duel Yusei from the beginning.

8th turn - Rudger (Rally)
Rally draws to continue Rudger's turn. Yusei asks him to stop, but Rudger rushes him to fight to survive. Rally activates the monster effect of Earthbound God, Uru. By releasing a monster, a Spider Token, on the field, he can take control Oneshot Booster on Yusei's field. Rally then summons a tuner monster [Oneshot Rocket - 2/0/0: If this card attacks, it is not destroyed by battle. After damage calculation, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the ATK of the target monster's ATK] onto the field in attack position. Yusei can predict what Rally intends to do, so he tries to stop him and let him attack and defeat him.
Rally is afraid that he can't do so because Yusei is a hope of Satellite. Yusei pleads Rally not to do it, but Rally keeps going by tuning Oneshot Rocket into Oneshot Booster. Rally declares synchro summon to call [Oneshot Cannon - 3/0/0: You can Tribute this card to destroy 1 monster on the field. The controller of the destroyed monster takes damage equal to the original attack of the destroyed monster] onto the field in attack position.

Note: Oneshot Rocket (Tuner Monster) has 2 stars while Oneshot Booster (Non-Tuner Monster) has 1 star. Their stars are added up to 3 (2+1), the star level of Oneshot Cannon (Synchro Monster) exactly.
Aki is afraid that Rally is going to sacrifice himself, so is Yusei. Yusei tries to stop Rally for doing this. Rally keeps going by activating the monster effect of Oneshot Cannon. This monster can be given as a tribute to destroy a monster on the field. Then, damage equal to the original attack of the destroyed monster will be inflicted to the controller. Yusei again begs Rally not to do this. Rally apologizes Yusei as this is the only way out. He declares to apply this monster effect of Oneshot Cannon to Earthbound God, Uru.
Rally calls for Oneshot Cannon's strike, "Final Shot!", to destroy Earthbound God, Uru. Explosion causes him to be blown away. The original attack power of Earthbound God, Uru (3000 ATK) is inflicted to Rally, so his inherited LP from Rudger (1700) is reduced to 0 (1700-3000). The game is then ended.
Duel End
Yusei quickly runs into Rally and flips him up in his arms. Rally gives his last words for Yusei to protect Satellite before his body then disappears into the air. Yusei cries and calls for Rally loud after losing one of his dear friends in his arms. The spider field then disappears, and everyone including Jack, Rua, Ruca, Ushio, and Aki runs into Yusei. Rudger comments that Rally is an interesting fake show. Behind him are the other 4 Dark Signers (Misty, Carly, Kiryu, and Demak) who have been together.
Rudger notes that a true battle between the Signers and the Dark Signers will start from now on. Demak adds that each battle will be determined by the stars of destiny. Kiryu steps out and tells Yusei not to think that he has been able to defeat his fear of the Earthbound Gods. There is a lot of remaining fear, and one is fear from him. Kiryu laughs loudly after finishing his words.
Yusei accepts that he is afraid. At the time, he is getting up slow to face the Dark Signers. Yusei notes that he is afraid of his own rage over how much he would like to defeat them. He looks up at the Dark Signers. By now here at Satellite, the 5 Dark Singer and 4 Signers have been together for the first confrontation.
