Godwin continues to talk, detailing that the Signers and Dark Signers are light and dark, on completely opposite spectrums. Yusei asks about the true identity of Kiryu Kyosuke, the now Dark Signer. His response being that he is no longer of this world, or in other words, that he is dead. Yusei is shocked at this. EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1

On Satellite, Crow is standing on ruins and looking at a big hole caused by explosion several years ago. On the other side, street people are dueling and talking about a rumor they have recently heard. Many people were in the wall of flames and became a giant monster. Some think that it's just a hallucination that has nothing to do with them. Crow appears nearby, yells at the street people, and says that it truly has something to do with them.

Nobody seems to know Crow and asks who he is. Crow introduces himself as an ally of justice who has just passed. He then jumps over the people by his Black Bird D-Wheel. Seeing the direction where Crow is heading to, people warn him not to get close to the deepest area. Otherwise, he will get killed by the monster. Crow is more concerned about people and suggests them get away and hide themselves somewhere quickly. Crow's target is at the big hole at the deepest of Satellite, the base of the Dark Signers. He is now going after them.

At the mansion of Godwin, Yusei is looking into the sky and thinking about the earlier talk. Godwin explains that the Dark Signers are the souls of death that awaken to their abilities. That means they actually no longer exist in the world (episode 42). Yusei holds his fist and thinks about his dear friend, Kiryu. If what Godwin said is true, it means Kiryu has already been dead.

Seeing Yusei standing and thinking alone, Ruca looks very concerned about him. Aki sitting on a sofa of the same room understands that Yusei is now suffering. Ruca doubts whether Aki understands Yusei's feeling. Aki answers that she does. Yusei always cherishes bonds connecting among people above all. Thus, the fact that his dear friend becomes a Dark Signer is truly hard for him to accept. Ruca sees that Yusei is so poor.

Aki turns to ask Ruca whether she is ready to fight. Ruca says that she is fine after all because she has a reason to fight. It's all to rescue Ancient Fairy Dragon. Aki looks very amazed by the strong will of this little girl. Yusei then walks into the room and Ruca approaches him. He would like to excuse himself as he would like to be alone now. Ruca can't say anything but sees Yusei walking away. Aki then begins to walk off to the other way. Ruca becomes very worried about Yusei. Meanwhile, Jack is watching Yusei from an upper stair in the room and looking very serious.

In Godwin's office, he opens a visual screen and asks Yeager on the line about the progress on his plan. Yeager chuckles and replies that everything is fine and running smoothly. Godwin just smiles and doesn't comment anything.

Yusei is now sitting alone in the garden and holding his fists tightly together. Jack then walks into him. Yusei tells Jack that if Kiryu has already been dead, he is the one who holds responsibility. Kiryu died with a lot of hatred toward Yusei. Yusei wonders whether he has to fight by holding this feeling. He is now trembling and looking very confused. To stop Kiryu, Yusei isn't sure what he should do.

Jack is very annoyed by Yusei's act. If Yusei really wants an answer, Jack would like to give him one. Jack yells at him, snatches Yusei's collar, and punches his stomach. Such a painful expression appears on Yusei's face as he isn't sure what Jack is doing for.

Aki is now walking in the rose garden full of colorful and beautiful roses, which really match her character. She looks at a red rose and recalls what she talked to her parents earlier after the battle with Yusei. Aki apologized her parents because she had already made a decision to fight the Dark Signers as a Signer. Hideo looks very worried about her and Setsuko asked what she had to approach into such a dangerous thing like this. They had just turned back to be a family again, so her parents would like her to be with them.

Aki told them that she was truly happy that her parents accepted her without turning back. Thus, she thought that she shouldn't turn away, either, from her responsibility. Setsuko wasn't sure what responsibility Aki was talking about. Aki explained that Arcadia Movement tried to bring the world into chaos, and she was a member of them. Setsuko thought that it wasn't Aki's fault as she was just used. She might be true, but Aki didn't want to let it be.

Big trouble was about to reach Neo Domino City. If her power would be able to save people on purpose, she would do so. Setsuko tried to convince her not to do it, but Hideo interfered the discussion. He thought that it would be dangerous for her if she couldn't control her power and it turned to destroy herself. Hideo hoped that Aki understood it well. His words seemed like a warning rather than prohibiting.

As Setsuko was about to argue, Aki said that she would be fine. There was nothing to be worried about. Hideo realized that Aki would like to discover what she truly believed in. Aki nodded her head as her dad was right. Hideo believed that if Yusei was by Aki's side, she wouldn't lose herself. Aki smiled as she also believed the same thing. Only Setsuko looked worried about Aki and didn't want her to go. Hideo told Setsuko that Aki had already found what she had to do. They had better believe in their daughter. Thinking about this whole discussion, Aki feels thankful to her parents.

On the other side, Rua is very impressed by a lot of food in a dining room. They all look yummy to him, so he begins to take a piece from many dishes. A ton of food forms a big pile on his plate. Ruca looking for him finally finds him in the room. Seeing Ruca, Rua tells her to eat as food is very yummy. Ruca walks into him and ask why he is so carefree and what he is doing here. The dining room is empty and only Rua is enjoying eating alone.

Because nobody comes to eat, Rua is afraid that they are going to waste a lot of good food. Ruca tells him that nobody has time for eating now while Rua continues eating a burger. She thinks that Rua has the slightest care after he heard the Director Godwin's story. It isn't a big deal for him at all as he isn't a Signer. Meanwhile, he is holding a plate full of food and keeping on eating.

Ruca explains that everyone is now serious and can't take it easy like Rua. Rua tells Ruca to take it easy on him because he still isn't a Signer after all. He then turns to place the plate on a table. If Ruca doesn't want to eat, he plans to eat them all. Ruca is enough of him and tells Rua to do what he wants. She doesn't care if he even wants to have a picnic on Satellite. When Ruca is about to walk away, Rua says that he doesn't plan to go. His answer makes Ruca surprised and turns to him.

Rua is turning his back to her while looking at his food on the table. His tone of voice seems sad as he repeats that he isn't going to Satellite. Ruca asks what Rua means by that. Rua holds his answer, turns his face away, and doesn't answer Ruca. The fact that he originally isn't a Signer and isn't involved with this battle is pressuring him. Ruca wonders what's going on with Rua.

On Satellite, Crow parks his D-Wheel near the deepest hole and walks around. He plans to confront the Dark Signers and beat a couple of them before Yusei returns. It's what he can do for him now. Then, Crow notices a target walking off the hole. Yeager is walking up the stairs. Seeing Yeager's face, Crow misunderstands that he is a Dark Signer.

Crow walks after Yeager and takes a chance to catch his body by a rope. He thinks that he can finally catch the target, so he shows up himself. Unexpectedly, his rope appears to tie pipes instead of Yeager's body. Crow looks around to find where Yeager has been. Yeager appears on the other side of ruins and tells Crow that he couldn't catch him by the rope. He keeps chuckling before running away. Crow quickly runs after him into an old warehouse. It's dark inside. Crow wonders where Yeager is going.

Yeager appears on a hanging crane moving down from the ceiling. He tells Crow that he isn't running away nor hiding himself. Crow tells him to get down quickly. Yeager says that Crow shouldn't be around the deepest hole now as he will be a trouble. His answer makes Crow understand that Yeager is a Dark Signer. Yeager is afraid that there is a misunderstanding. On the contrary, Crow's markers on his face make Yeager understand that Crow is a Dark Signer. It seems that both are thinking about the same thing and capturing a wrong person.

When Yeager lands on the ground, he checks a marked duelist file and finds that Crow is a Satellite duelist No.#0105 who also knows Yusei Fudo and Jack Atlus. Crow is surprised by that his profile is revealed. It is clear to him that Yeager isn't a Dark Signer, so Crow asks who Yeager actually is. Yeager is afraid that he should have introduced himself earlier. He tells Crow that his name is Yeager and he is a right-hand man of the Director Godwin of the Public Security Maintenance Bureau.

Crow is surprised by that Yeager is a person related to the Public Security Maintenance Bureau. Yeager changes the topic as he would like to warn Crow not to get close to the hole again. That's what he needs from him. Yeager then tries to excuse himself and walks away, but Crow catches his left arm by his locking device. Yeager sees that Crow is such an obstinate guy. Crow locks Yeager's arm and asks him what a guy from the Public Security Maintenance Bureau is doing here for. From his understanding, Yeager's boss is the one who tells Yusei to defeat the Dark Signers.

Yeager is afraid that it's confidential information, which can't be revealed. He is also not obligated to tell anything to a [Brown Rat ~ Dobunezumi] like him. Crow gets mad by being called in such a way. He says that a [Demon Clown ~ Youkai Pierou] like Yeager has no right to call him like that.

Note: ''Dobunezumi" means a "Brown Rat" or "Norway Rat". "Nezumi" means a rat while "Dobu" means a ditch, a drain, a gutter, or a sewer, which all refer to dirty things. Yeager calls Crow a Brown Rat, which refers to a dirty rat with garbage or trash on Satellite.

Yeager sees that Crow is a fool and perceptive guy. As he wishes, he invites Crow into a duel. Crow is glad to do so. This should be good warming up before he is going to face a Dark Signer. Both of them stand by their duel disks, and their duels then begin.

1st turn - Crow

Crow gets the first turn, draws a card, and summons [Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast ~ BF (Black Feather) - Kuroyari No Blast ~ 4/1700/800: If you control a "Black Feather" monster other than "Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast", you can Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card attacks a monster in defense mode, if your attack power exceeds their defense power, inflict Battle Damage equal to the difference to your opponent's Life Points] onto the field in attack position. Yeager looks impressed by seeing Crow's monster. He checks his duel profile again and confirms that Crow's deck is mainly based on the Black Feathers.

Crow continues by special summoning a tuner monster [Black Feather - Hurricane Gale ~ BF (Black Feather) - Shuppuu No Gale ~ 3/1300/400: If there are monsters on your side of the field with "Black Feather" in their names other than "Black Feather - Hurricane Gale," you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, you can halve the attack and defense power of 1 monster face-up on your opponent's side of the field] onto the field in attack position. This card can be special summoned from hand when there is another Black Feather monster, which is Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast in this case, on the field.

Setting up a face-down card, Crow ends his turn. Yeager is surprised by that Crow has just played an effect monster and a tuner monster but didn't do a Synchro Summon. Crow chuckles and doesn't explain anything. He then calls for Yeager's turn. Yeager chuckles as he hopes that Crow won't regret his action.

EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2

In the garden of the Godwin's mansion, Yusei is holding his stomach after Jack strongly punched him. He tries to hold his face up and asks what Jack is doing. Jack repeats that he is going to give Yusei an answer what Yusei should do. He then gives him another punch until Yusei is knocked onto the ground. Yusei tries to hold himself, turns back to Jack, and shows such a pitiful face. Jack is very annoyed and asks what Yusei's look is for. Yusei's look watching at him now is like an abandoned pet dog who has just lost to Kiryu.

Such an act really makes Jack sick. Especially, Yusei is the one who dragged him down from the throne of the king and gave him such a disgrace. Jack asks where Yusei Fudo at that time has gone. For Jack, the one who died isn't Kiryu but Yusei. Yusei looks shocked after hearing Jack's words. Jack says that he will fight. Kiryu used to be his friend, but he is now his enemy to be defeated.

Yusei still looks confused and isn't sure whether he can do so. Jack grasps Yusei's collar and pulls him up. If Kiryu is against him, Jack is going to give it back in sevenfold. Because Yusei can't do it, he is just a shell. Jack is about to give Yusei another punch on his face, but Yusei counters by his punch this time. Both are punching to each other face. Yusei says that he hasn't died yet. Jack smiles as he sees Yusei's eyes. His eyes full of spirit have already returned.

In the dining room, Ruca is in the mid discussion with Rua. She asks him why Rua said that he was not going to Satellite. Rua looks sad before turning to look cheerful in front of Ruca. He turns to Ruca and explains that he is just a kind of person easily elated. Thus, people around him always say that he has to be a hero who protects his little sister. Rua feels that way, which he thinks that it may be stupid.

Rua tells Ruca that he has thought when he was defeated by Divine. He truly can't be a hero. Ruca looks sorry and can merely call his name. Rua has never said this before. He tells Ruca that when they were small, he used to think that Ruca was just a trouble, a little, and even a burden. Because there was Ruca, he couldn't go to any duel tournament in town or any king's autograph event (He always had to be by her side to take care of her).

Ruca says that she has been aware of it for long. It's because she was sick very often. Because of her fault, Rua couldn't go outside. Ruca really wants to apologize him. Rua tells her to stop doing this; otherwise, he will be ashamed. He becomes cheerful and convinces her that Ruca is truly awesome. She is a Signer and a reincarnation of an ancient warrior. This makes her different from him. The one who is truly a burden is himself. If Rua follows her, he is afraid that he will just get into her way and become her trouble. Thus, he decides to cheer Ruca from here.

Rua begins to cheer Ruca out loud to beat the Dark Signers and acts like a cheerleader. That doesn't make Ruca happy at all. Ruca says that Rua is stupid and begins to cry. She asks whether It can be seen clearly that she is scared. She even asks what she should do if Rua won't go with her when she really needs her. Rua calms down and looks surprised by seeing Ruca crying. Ruca puts her fists on Rua's shoulders and says that she doesn't want him to be a hero. She just wants him to protect her as he always does. Rua further says nothing but looks at crying Ruca.

In the garden, Jack and Yusei have already stopped fighting. They are sitting together without facing each other. Yusei starts conversation by calling Jack's name. Jack asks what he wants. Yusei would like to thank him. Because of Jack, he is able to open his eyes. The Dark Signers are about to bring the world to danger. Yusei has to be prepared in order to protect his dear friends and people in Satellite.

Jack pants as Yusei talks about the old friends needed to be protected as always. He looks up into the sky before taking a broken glass from his jacket. It's the glass of Carly. It makes Jack think about his dear person needed to be protected as well. Meanwhile, Mikage is watching over Jack's act and his emotion toward Carly.

Aki then walks into both of them and sees that Yusei seems ready now. She tells him her decision that she will fight along with him. Whatever she has to do lies ahead. Yusei smiles after hearing Aki's decision. Ruca then calls Yusei and runs into him. Rua however is standing behind her and doesn't run after her. Ruca understands that Yusei is going. Yusei says yes, making Ruca relieved.

Ruca then turns to look at Rua standing behind. Rua still looks uncertain before he makes a decision. He waves his hand to Yusei, calls him, and turns to be cheerful as always. Rua runs into Yusei and says that he has already understood. Yusei is awesome because he always fight with his belief in himself. Yusei smiles after seeing Rua's response. Rua turns to talk closely to Jack that Jack is also awesome although he isn't a king anymore.

The words that he isn't a king anymore stun Jack very much. Rua concludes that he therefore tries to be awesome like him as well. Jack yells at him and says that he can't. There is no way a brat like him can be cool. Rua argues by keeping on saying that he will be surely. Jack counters him and repeats that Rua certainly can't be, but Rua still argues that he can.

2nd turn - Yeager

The duel between Crow and Yeager is continued. It's now the second turn on Yeager's side, and he draws a card. Setting 3 face-down cards, he ends his turn quickly. Crow is surprised by that Yeager just set up cards. He doubts whether Yeager doesn't have any monster on hand. Yeager doesn't answer him and asks how it is. He hands over and calls for Crow's turn in such a polite way.

3rd turn - Crow

The turn quickly moves to Crow. After drawing, Crow says that he really wants to wrap things up quickly. The problem is just at the 3 face-down cards. Yeager chuckles as a challenge, so Crow decides to make a swift attack. Crow declares the direct attack of Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast.

At this moment, Yeager opens his face-down trap card [The Court Manner ~ Kyuutei No Manner - Trap: You can activate this when your opponent's monster declares an attack. If there are no monsters on your side of the field, destroy all monsters on your opponent's side of the field in attack mode]. This card can be activated only when the opponent attacks. If Yeager has no monster on the field, it is able to destroy all monsters on Crow's field.

Crow is very shocked by seeing his monsters, Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast and Black Feather - Hurricane Gale be destroyed. This isn't fun, so he opens his face-down trap card [Urgent Tuning ~ Kinkyuu Douchou - Trap: Release 1 Tuner Monster on your side of the field and 1 or more Non-Tuner monster to Special Summon 1 Synchro Monster that fulfills the Summoning Requirements from your Extra Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Synchro Summon.)].

Crow plans to use this card to do synchro summon so that his monsters can avoid being destructed. It may be a waste to play his trump card (A Synchro Monster) now, but he has no choice left. Yeager looks impressed by seeing Urgent Tuning, which allows a player to do synchro summon in the battle phase. He still feels sorry to Crow anyway.

Yeager opens his second face-down permanent trap card [Discord ~ Fujyoowaon - Permanent Trap: Both players cannot Synchro Summon], which doesn't allow any side to play synchro summon. Crow gets very shocked as this means the effect of Urgent Tuning doesn't work. Yeager tells Crow to receive the effect from The Court Manner. Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast and Black Feather - Hurricane Gale are destroyed. Urgent Tuning card is also destroyed as its effect is blocked by the effect of Discord.

Crow is stunned by the play of monster destruction and anti-synchro summon. Yeager explains that, in the earlier turn (Crow's 1st turn), Crow didn't do synchro summon despite the fact that he had both an effect monster and a tuner monster on the field. This could make Yeager read through Crow's game that Crow was planning to do it in the future. Crow tells Yeager not to get excited merely because he could pull off his combo. Setting up a face-down card, Crow ends his turn.

Yeager begins to ask Crow why he has to put himself into a dangerous zone like this. Crow says that he is going to launch his surefire combo to beat the Dark Signers. Yeager would like him to give up. There is no way a Brown Rat like him can be a match. Crow yells at Yeager and tells him to shut up. It doesn't matter whether he is called a Brown Rat or a fool. He is still a duelist with heat-heart fighting spirit who will win at the end. Yeager chuckles as Crow's words even make him closer to a fool. He will show where Crow truly stands.

4th turn - Yeager

Yeager draws and summons [Jester Lord - 1/0/0: If there are no other monsters besides this card on either side of the field, this card's attack power increases by 1000 points for each card in either player's Magic & Trap Card Zone] onto the field in attack position. Crow is surprised by seeing such a weird monster. Yeager surprises him even more by declaring a direct attack of Jester Lord. Crow asks what Yeager is thinking by declaring a direct attack of a 0-attack-power monster.

Yeager swings his finger to stop Crow's quick thought. The monster effect of Jester Lord can increase its ATK by 1000 for each spell and trap card on the field if it is the only monster on the field. The total number of spell/trap cards on the field is now 3 (Face-up permanent Trap, Discord, and a face-down card on Yeager's field plus a face-down card on Crow's field). The attack power of Jester Lord therefore becomes 3000 (3*1000).

Crow is stunned by seeing a powerful attack of 3000 attack point, asking the joking face to be kept. He decides to open his face-down trap card [Dust Tornado ~ Sajin No Otatsumaki - Trap: Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls. You can then Set 1 Spell or Trap Card from your hand] to destroy Discord on Yeager's field. 2 traps will be gone. His plan is to reduce a number of spell/trap cards on the field to 1 so that Jester Lord's attack power can drop to 1000 (1000*1: only Yeager's face-down card remains on the field now). Crow has to take damage anyway, so he plans to do synchro summon in his next turn.

At this moment, Yeager activates his last face-down trap card [Court Customs ~ Kyuutei No Shikitari - Permanent Trap: If this card is on your side of the field face-up, all Permanent Trap cards on your side of the field besides this card will not be destroyed. There can only be 1 face-up "Court Customs" on your side of the field]. As long as this card is on the field, no permanent trap card rather than this card will be destroyed. That means Discord as a permanent trap can't be destroy. Crow's trap again has to lose as his effect can't be activated. Its activation becomes useless.

With Discord and Court Customs on Yeager's field, the attack of Jester Lord becomes 2000 (2*1000). Crow at least can reduce its ATK by activating his own trap card although its effect can't be used. Yeager continues the battle of Jester Lord by declaring its direct attack. This strike makes Crow's LP drop to 2000 (4000-2000). Crow laughs as it isn't bad at all to see that there is a bastard like Yeager in the Public Security Maintenance Bureau who does a crazy duel like this.

Yeager thanks for Crow's compliment. He is also impressed by Crow's good work that he decreased Jester Lord's ATK by activating his trap card. Crow says that he just has to enjoy this for all its worth. Yeager chuckles evilly in response. Both of them are confronting each other as the true game has just begun.

To be continued...
