On Satellite, Crow is standing on ruins and looking at a big hole caused by explosion several years ago. On the other side, street people are dueling and talking about a rumor they have recently heard. Many people were in the wall of flames and became a giant monster. Some think that it's just a hallucination that has nothing to do with them. Crow appears nearby, yells at the street people, and says that it truly has something to do with them.
Nobody seems to know Crow and asks who he is. Crow introduces himself as an ally of justice who has just passed. He then jumps over the people by his Black Bird D-Wheel. Seeing the direction where Crow is heading to, people warn him not to get close to the deepest area. Otherwise, he will get killed by the monster. Crow is more concerned about people and suggests them get away and hide themselves somewhere quickly. Crow's target is at the big hole at the deepest of Satellite, the base of the Dark Signers. He is now going after them.

At the mansion of Godwin, Yusei is looking into the sky and thinking about the earlier talk. Godwin explains that the Dark Signers are the souls of death that awaken to their abilities. That means they actually no longer exist in the world (episode 42). Yusei holds his fist and thinks about his dear friend, Kiryu. If what Godwin said is true, it means Kiryu has already been dead.
Seeing Yusei standing and thinking alone, Ruca looks very concerned about him. Aki sitting on a sofa of the same room understands that Yusei is now suffering. Ruca doubts whether Aki understands Yusei's feeling. Aki answers that she does. Yusei always cherishes bonds connecting among people above all. Thus, the fact that his dear friend becomes a Dark Signer is truly hard for him to accept. Ruca sees that Yusei is so poor.
Aki turns to ask Ruca whether she is ready to fight. Ruca says that she is fine after all because she has a reason to fight. It's all to rescue Ancient Fairy Dragon. Aki looks very amazed by the strong will of this little girl. Yusei then walks into the room and Ruca approaches him. He would like to excuse himself as he would like to be alone now. Ruca can't say anything but sees Yusei walking away. Aki then begins to walk off to the other way. Ruca becomes very worried about Yusei. Meanwhile, Jack is watching Yusei from an upper stair in the room and looking very serious.

In Godwin's office, he opens a visual screen and asks Jaeger on the line about the progress on his plan. Jaeger chuckles and replies that everything is fine and running smoothly. Godwin just smiles and doesn't comment anything.
Yusei is now sitting alone in the garden and holding his fists tightly together. Jack then walks into him. Yusei tells Jack that if Kiryu has already been dead, he is the one who holds responsibility. Kiryu died with a lot of hatred toward Yusei. Yusei wonders whether he has to fight by holding this feeling. He is now trembling and looking very confused. To stop Kiryu, Yusei isn't sure what he should do.
Jack is very annoyed by Yusei's act. If Yusei really wants an answer, Jack would like to give him one. Jack yells at him, snatches Yusei's collar, and punches his stomach. Such a painful expression appears on Yusei's face as he isn't sure what Jack is doing for.

Aki is now walking in the rose garden full of colorful and beautiful roses, which really match her character. She looks at a red rose and recalls what she talked to her parents earlier after the battle with Yusei. Aki apologized her parents because she had already made a decision to fight the Dark Signers as a Signer. Hideo looks very worried about her and Setsuko asked what she had to approach into such a dangerous thing like this. They had just turned back to be a family again, so her parents would like her to be with them.
Aki told them that she was truly happy that her parents accepted her without turning back. Thus, she thought that she shouldn't turn away, either, from her responsibility. Setsuko wasn't sure what responsibility Aki was talking about. Aki explained that Arcadia Movement tried to bring the world into chaos, and she was a member of them. Setsuko thought that it wasn't Aki's fault as she was just used. She might be true, but Aki didn't want to let it be.
Big trouble was about to reach Neo Domino City. If her power would be able to save people on purpose, she would do so. Setsuko tried to convince her not to do it, but Hideo interfered the discussion. He thought that it would be dangerous for her if she couldn't control her power and it turned to destroy herself. Hideo hoped that Aki understood it well. His words seemed like a warning rather than prohibiting.
As Setsuko was about to argue, Aki said that she would be fine. There was nothing to be worried about. Hideo realized that Aki would like to discover what she truly believed in. Aki nodded her head as her dad was right. Hideo believed that if Yusei was by Aki's side, she wouldn't lose herself. Aki smiled as she also believed the same thing. Only Setsuko looked worried about Aki and didn't want her to go. Hideo told Setsuko that Aki had already found what she had to do. They had better believe in their daughter. Thinking about this whole discussion, Aki feels thankful to her parents.

On the other side, Rua is very impressed by a lot of food in a dining room. They all look yummy to him, so he begins to take a piece from many dishes. A ton of food forms a big pile on his plate. Ruca looking for him finally finds him in the room. Seeing Ruca, Rua tells her to eat as food is very yummy. Ruca walks into him and ask why he is so carefree and what he is doing here. The dining room is empty and only Rua is enjoying eating alone.
Because nobody comes to eat, Rua is afraid that they are going to waste a lot of good food. Ruca tells him that nobody has time for eating now while Rua continues eating a burger. She thinks that Rua has the slightest care after he heard the Director Godwin's story. It isn't a big deal for him at all as he isn't a Signer. Meanwhile, he is holding a plate full of food and keeping on eating.
Ruca explains that everyone is now serious and can't take it easy like Rua. Rua tells Ruca to take it easy on him because he still isn't a Signer after all. He then turns to place the plate on a table. If Ruca doesn't want to eat, he plans to eat them all. Ruca is enough of him and tells Rua to do what he wants. She doesn't care if he even wants to have a picnic on Satellite. When Ruca is about to walk away, Rua says that he doesn't plan to go. His answer makes Ruca surprised and turns to him.
Rua is turning his back to her while looking at his food on the table. His tone of voice seems sad as he repeats that he isn't going to Satellite. Ruca asks what Rua means by that. Rua holds his answer, turns his face away, and doesn't answer Ruca. The fact that he originally isn't a Signer and isn't involved with this battle is pressuring him. Ruca wonders what's going on with Rua.

On Satellite, Crow parks his D-Wheel near the deepest hole and walks around. He plans to confront the Dark Signers and beat a couple of them before Yusei returns. It's what he can do for him now. Then, Crow notices a target walking off the hole. Jaeger is walking up the stairs. Seeing Jaeger's face, Crow misunderstands that he is a Dark Signer.
Crow walks after Jaeger and takes a chance to catch his body by a rope. He thinks that he can finally catch the target, so he shows up himself. Unexpectedly, his rope appears to tie pipes instead of Jaeger's body. Crow looks around to find where Jaeger has been. Jaeger appears on the other side of ruins and tells Crow that he couldn't catch him by the rope. He keeps chuckling before running away. Crow quickly runs after him into an old warehouse. It's dark inside. Crow wonders where Jaeger is going.
Jaeger appears on a hanging crane moving down from the ceiling. He tells Crow that he isn't running away nor hiding himself. Crow tells him to get down quickly. Jaeger says that Crow shouldn't be around the deepest hole now as he will be a trouble. His answer makes Crow understand that Jaeger is a Dark Signer. Jaeger is afraid that there is a misunderstanding. On the contrary, Crow's markers on his face make Jaeger understand that Crow is a Dark Signer. It seems that both are thinking about the same thing and capturing a wrong person.

When Jaeger lands on the ground, he checks a marked duelist file and finds that Crow is a Satellite duelist No.#0105 who also knows Yusei Fudo and Jack Atlus. Crow is surprised by that his profile is revealed. It is clear to him that Jaeger isn't a Dark Signer, so Crow asks who Jaeger actually is. Jaeger is afraid that he should have introduced himself earlier. He tells Crow that his name is Jaeger and he is a right-hand man of the Director Godwin of the Public Security Maintenance Bureau.
Crow is surprised by that Jaeger is a person related to the Public Security Maintenance Bureau. Jaeger changes the topic as he would like to warn Crow not to get close to the hole again. That's what he needs from him. Jaeger then tries to excuse himself and walks away, but Crow catches his left arm by his locking device. Jaeger sees that Crow is such an obstinate guy. Crow locks Jaeger's arm and asks him what a guy from the Public Security Maintenance Bureau is doing here for. From his understanding, Jaeger's boss is the one who tells Yusei to defeat the Dark Signers.
Jaeger is afraid that it's confidential information, which can't be revealed. He is also not obligated to tell anything to a [Brown Rat ~ Dobunezumi] like him. Crow gets mad by being called in such a way. He says that a [Demon Clown ~ Youkai Pierou] like Jaeger has no right to call him like that.
Note: ''Dobunezumi" means a "Brown Rat" or "Norway Rat". "Nezumi" means a rat while "Dobu" means a ditch, a drain, a gutter, or a sewer, which all refer to dirty things. Jaeger calls Crow a Brown Rat, which refers to a dirty rat with garbage or trash on Satellite.
Jaeger sees that Crow is a fool and perceptive guy. As he wishes, he invites Crow into a duel. Crow is glad to do so. This should be good warming up before he is going to face a Dark Signer. Both of them stand by their duel disks, and their duels then begin.

1st turn - Crow
Crow gets the first turn, draws a card, and summons [Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast ~ BF (Black Feather) - Kuroyari No Blast ~ 4/1700/800: If you control a "Black Feather" monster other than "Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast", you can Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card attacks a monster in defense mode, if your attack power exceeds their defense power, inflict Battle Damage equal to the difference to your opponent's Life Points] onto the field in attack position. Jaeger looks impressed by seeing Crow's monster. He checks his duel profile again and confirms that Crow's deck is mainly based on the Black Feathers.
Crow continues by special summoning a tuner monster [Black Feather - Hurricane Gale ~ BF (Black Feather) - Shuppuu No Gale ~ 3/1300/400: If there are monsters on your side of the field with "Black Feather" in their names other than "Black Feather - Hurricane Gale," you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, you can halve the attack and defense power of 1 monster face-up on your opponent's side of the field] onto the field in attack position. This card can be special summoned from hand when there is another Black Feather monster, which is Black Feather - Black-Lance Blast in this case, on the field.
Setting up a face-down card, Crow ends his turn. Jaeger is surprised by that Crow has just played an effect monster and a tuner monster but didn't do a Synchro Summon. Crow chuckles and doesn't explain anything. He then calls for Jaeger's turn. Jaeger chuckles as he hopes that Crow won't regret his action.
