Hideo looking at Aki awakening murmured and called her a [Monster ~ Bakemono]. But, it's too late as his murmur had already reached Aki's ears and become her memory of deep despair. The one who approached into this lady at that time was Divine. But, to release the soul of Aki shut down desperately, Yusei who knows these details challenges her into a duel. The duel of aki is intense and mad, and nobody knows where to come to the end. But, Yusei who can't give up to reach Aki's heart, can't stop the duel. |

| EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1 | ||||||
The duel between Aki and Yusei is continued. Aki's dad, Hideo, is looking at his daughter with concerning face. After summoning Black Rose Dragon successfully onto the field, she activates its monster effect, "Black Rose Gale!". By removing a plant-type monster, Evil Thorn, in the graveyard form play, she can reduce the attack power of Shield Warrior to 0.
Aki declares the attack of Black Rose Dragon, "Hate Rose Whip!", toward Shield Warrior. Yusei quickly opens his face-down trap card [Realize Defense - Trap: Select 1 monster in attack mode on your side of the field with an original attack power higher than that of its original defense power to activate. Switch that monster to defense mode]. It allows him to select a monster whose defense power is higher than original attack power on the field and change it to defense position. Shield Warrior has original 800 ATK (Now, it has 0 ATK due to the monster effect of Black Rose Dragon) and 1600 DEF, so Yusei can change it to defense position. Aki doesn't stop the attack of her monster anyway and orders Black Rose Dragon to continue its attack. The strike is blocked by Shield Warrior. Because of the effect of the equipment spell, Thorns of Hatred, equipped with Black Rose Dragon, Shield Warrior can't be destroyed in battle. Aki reminds Yusei another trample effect of Thorns of Hatred. When the equipped monster attack a defense monster and its attack power is higher, damage equal to the difference is inflicted to the opponent. Thus, the strike of Black Rose Dragon passes Shield Warrior through Yusei. His LP drops to 2300 (3700+1600-3000). The impact from the strike creates actual wound on Yusei's face. In addition to the remaining effect of Thorns of Hatred, the monster that received the attack from the equipped monster must lose its attack and defense power by 600 after damage calculation step. The defense power of Shield Warrior then decreases to 1000 (1600-600).
Ruca realizes that this is pretty bad. The monster, Shield Warrior, won't be destroyed by battle and its ATK and DEF keep dropping due to Thorns of Hatred's effect. Aki declares to end her turn at this point. She looks up and says that she won't be defeated easily, and she will make him more suffer. Aki then looks at the glowing dragon's birthmark on her arm. For her, it's still a wretched mark after all. Aki is looking clearly confused. She has never cared about the Signers and never expected that Yusei would be able to save her. The only person who accepted her and gave her a place to live is Divine not her dad or even Yusei. Tears are on Aki's eyes when she is talking about Divine falling into darkness in front of her eyes. When Divine's gone, she has no place she belongs to in this world. Therefore, Aki plans to give people the same thing by taking their places. Yusei yells at Aki and asks whether she hasn't understood yet. There is a place where she can return to. She has had it for all long but has never accepted it. Hideo looks at Yusei as he understands that Yusei is talking for him. Aki refuses that she has such a place. When Divine's gone, the world has turned abominable. Thus, she plans to ruin this world. Finishing her words, Aki takes off her hair decoration and releases her hair. Her power gets stronger and creates swirling wind around the room. Hideo is trying to himself and his wife up before looking at Aki driving herself crazy. Pieces of ruins again scratch Yusei's face. He realizes that the situation is looking bad. It appears that Aki's power increases along with her hatred. Aki is staring at Yusei with anger eyes. When she calms down and the wind stops, Yusei continues his turn.
4th turn - Yusei
Yusei draws a card and gets Restrain Release Wave. He puts it to his hand and opens his face-down trap card [Truth Reinforce - Trap: This card can only be activated during the Standby Phase on your turn. Special Summon 1 monster with an attack power of 1000 or lower from your deck. During this turn, you cannot conduct a Battle Phase]. Its effect can be activated only in a standby phase. It allows him to special summon a monster with ATK less than 1000 from his deck. Thus, Yusei special summons [Speed Warrior - 2/900/300: This can only be activated during the Battle Phase of the turn in which this card is successfully summoned. Double this card's original attack power until the end of the Battle Phase] onto the field in attack position. Next, he normal summons [Junk Synchron - 3/1300/500: When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower monster in your Graveyard in face-up defense mode. Any effects of an Effect Monster Special Summoned by this effect are negated]. Seeing 3 monster with the combined level of 8, Jack can expect what Yusei's monster is coming. Jack is right. Yusei tunes Junk Synchron into Shield Warrior and Speed Warrior. "Clustering hopes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon, fly off, Stardust Dragon!", he declares and synchro summons [Stardust Dragon - 8/2500/2000: When the effect of an Spell, Trap, or Effect monster is activated, that includes "destroy card(s) on the field", by releasing this card , you can negate the activation and destroy that card. In the End-Phase of a turn you use this effect, if the card is in your graveyard, you can Special Summon it to the field] onto the field in attack position. Note: Junk Synchron (Tuner Monster) has 3 stars while Speed Warrior and Shield Warrior (Non-Tuner Monsters) has 2 and 3 stars respectively. Their stars are added up to 8 (3+2+3), the star level of Stardust Dragon (Synchro Monster) exactly. Stardust Dragon is confronting now Black Rose Dragon. Rua is concerned by that Black Rose Dragon still has higher ATK by the equipment spell, Thorns of Hatred. Stardust Dragon then moves itself in front of people. Ruca doubts whether Stardust Dragon is trying to protect them. Because Aki's monster has higher ATK, Yusei doesn't make any battle and ends his turn at this point. Seeing that Yusei and his monster are trying to protect their friends, Aki thinks that Yusei has just a big talk as he shouldn't be able to save anyone. Yusei thinks that Aki may be true, but he still wants to go through it. 5th turn - Aki The turn comes to Aki. She draws a card and declares the attack of Black Rose Dragon, "Hate Rose Whip!", to break Stardust Dragon into pieces. Stardust Dragon is whipped violently before the attack passes to Yusei behind. Because the effect of Thorns of Hatred equipped with Black Rose Dragon, Stardust Dragon can't be destroyed but Yusei still has to receive battle damage. His LP drops to 1800 (2300+2500-3000). Aki tells him that although Thorns of Hatred is able to protect Stardust Dragon from destruction, eternal pain will continue through every skin, fresh, and bone of Stardust Dragon. The effect of Thorns of Hatred also reduces the attack power of Stardust Dragon to 1900 (2500-600). Hate Rose Whip of Black Rose Dragon passes Stardust Dragon and is about to strike the people behind. Suddenly, Stardust Dragon spreads its wings to protect them. Stardust Dragon roars after receiving a lot of pain. Hideo begins to beg his daughter to stop doing this. Aki is very cold and doesn't seem to care. She then ends her turn without doing anything else. 6th turn - Yusei
Yusei calls for his turn and draws a card. He then plays a quick-play spell card [Half Shut - Quick Play Spell: Activate by selecting 1 monster on the field. During this turn, the attack power of the selected monster is halved and it cannot be destroyed by battle]. By its effect, he can select a monster on the field and halve its ATK. The selected monster then can't be destroyed in this turn. The monster Yusei selects is clearly Black Rose Dragon, so the ATK of Black Rose Dragon decreases to 1500 (3000/2). Rua is excited to see that the attack power of Stardust Dragon is now higher than Black Rose Dragon's. Jack wonders whether Yusei is series to do it. Yusei tells Aki that the strike full of Stardust Dragon's soul will finally wake her up. He declares the attack of Stardust Dragon, "Shooting Sonic!", toward Black Rose Dragon. Aki's LP has decreased by the first time to 3600 (4000+1500-1900). Aki looks normal as Black Rose Dragon still can't be destroyed by the effect of Half Shut. Yusei sets up 2 face-down cards and ends his turn. At this end phase, the attack of Black Rose Dragon returns to 3000 as the effect of Half Shut has ended. 7th turn - Aki Aki smiles evilly before drawing a card to run her turn. Immediately, she moves into the battle phase and declares the attack of Black Rose Dragon, "Hate Rose Whip!", toward Stardust Dragon. Stardust Dragon now full of scratches receives more whipping strike, which finally passes to Yusei. His LP drops to 700 (1800+1900-3000). Because the effect of Thorns of Hatred equipped with Black Rose Dragon, Stardust Dragon can't be destroyed but its ATK must reduce by 600 points to 1300 (1800-500). It's clear to Hideo that Stardust Dragon or Yusei is trying to protect them. No matter what how hard they are hurt, they are trying to face Aki. Hideo looks at Stardust Dragon and Yusei, feeling ashamed of himself to be afraid of Aki. When Aki attacked him by her terrifying power in the past, Hideo was scared of her and tried to push her away. He has already realized that no matter how much he tried to appeal, he couldn't get away from it. He completely closed his feeling as it should have been his true feeling. At this moment, Aki faces down a card and ends her turn.
8th turn - Yusei The turn moves to Yusei. He draws a card and gets Card Block. He realizes that his expected card hasn't come yet. Yusei is waiting for a card that can be used along with Restrain Release Wave on his hand. Setting up another face-down card, he ends his turn. There are now 3 face-down cards on his field. Aki sees that Yusei appears to run out of his options. It's as what she has expected. Aki yells at Yusei that his true self definitely won't be able to save anyone. Yusei surprises her by accepting easily that she may be right as he has no such a power to do so. There is no way he can save anyone. He just can't turn his eyes away from his friend who keeps getting hurt. People are all stunned by Yusei's true feeling. Aki looks confused at most by Yusei's notion of friends. Yusei explains that he just wants his friend to be saved. Aki thinks that Yusei just has nothing to do because he is unable to do anything. He is different from Divine who embraced her in his arms, relieved her, and gave her a place to live. 9th turn - Aki Aki draws and quickly moves into the battle phase, declaring the attack of Black Rose Dragon, "Hate Rose Whip!", toward Stardust Dragon. Stardust Dragon again is whipped violently. The whip is about to reach Yusei at the same time Aki tells him that Divine accepted this power of her and gave her a place where she can return to. Her words have made Hideo begin to realize something. He holds his fist tightly and begins to sweat. Yusei is looking at Hate Rose Whip coming along with pain straight to him.

| EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2 | ||||||||||||||||
Hideo has held himself enough. When Hate Rose Whip is about to hit Yusei, Hideo yells, begs Aki to stop, and approaches in front of Yusei to receive the hit instead of him. He would like his daughter to stop hurting people like this. Yusei yells that it's dangerous. Hideo holds himself as the whip is coming. At this moment, Yusei opens his face-down trap card [Card Block - Trap: Activate this card when you receive Battle Damage in the opponent's turn. Negate that attack and reduce Battle Damage to 0. You can then draw 1 card from your deck]. This card can negate the attack of Black Rose Dragon and reduce any battle damage to 0. A barrier then appears around Hideo to protect him from the whip of Black Rose Dragon. Aki looks at her dad and still doesn't change her cold look toward him. In addition to the effect of Card Block, Yusei is able to draw 1 card. Hideo decides to face up, confronts Aki directly, and tells her that he feels sorry. He would like her to forgive him what he did. Aki tells him to stop doing this as she doesn't know what for he would like to talk about it now. Hideo tells Aki his true feeling that he was scared of her. Aki's eyes turn big after hearing his words. Hideo doesn't want to avoid it anymore and is going to tell her the whole truth. He did scared of her. Aki tells him that she has already been aware of it because it explains why he threw her away. It's all because she is a monster to him.
Hideo accepts that he stopped thinking completely when he said that phrase to her. However, it isn't true entirely. Their clear feeling is that they still love her. Aki is annoyed and asks whether he expects her to believe that. Hideo doesn't want Aki to believe it as he should be the one who wants to believe that he still loves her. Aki tells him to shut up as there is no way she will believe it at all. Yusei calls her name out loud while seeing that she is turning herself away from this. Aki continues by activating the effect of Thorns of Hated. Although the damage can't reach Yusei, the ATK of Stardust Dragon has to decrease by 600 to 700 (1300-600). Aki then activates a spell card [Wonder Clover - Spell: Select 1 monster face-up on your side of the field and send 1 Level 4 Plant-type monster from your hand to the Cemetery to activate. The selected monster can attack two times in a single Battle Phase. During the turn you activate this card, any other monsters on your side of the field cannot attack].
According to its effect, Aki has to send a Plant-Type monster, Lord Poison in this cards, from her hand to the cemetery to activate it. It allows her to have a monster attack one more time in the same battle phase. Hideo begs Aki again to stop, but Aki has gone too far to stop herself. She declares the attack of Black Rose Dragon toward Stardust Dragon. She even wants it to knock down her dad by this strike. Hideo looks worried by that he won't be able to stop his daughter. As the whip attack is approaching, Yusei opens the second face-down trap card [Iron Resolve - Trap: Activate by paying half of your Life Points. During this turn, Battle Damage done to you by battle is reduced to 0. Then, end the Battle Phase]. Paying a half of his LP, he is able to reduce battle damage to 0 and end the battle phase immediately. His LP decreases to 350 (700/2). Aki looks irritated before smiling. Anyway, by the effect of Thorns of Hatred, the attack of Stardust Dragon still has to drop further to 100 (700-600). It's clear to people that Stardust Dragon has worn out with only 100 ATK left and a lot of wound around its entire body. Aki keeps going by opening another face-down trap card [Des Petal Countdown - Permanent Trap: During your own turn's End Phase, remove 1 Plant-type monster in your Cemetery from the game and inflict 300 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points. If are no Plant-type monsters in your Cemetery through this effect, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the number of Plant-type monsters removed x300. When there are no Plant-type monsters in your Cemetery, destroy this card].
By its effect, at every end phase, Aki can remove 1 Plant-Type monster in the cemetery from play to inflict 300 damage points to the opponent. In the current end phase, she decides to remove 1 Evil Thorn from the graveyard. The impact from Des Petal Countdown is about to hit and inflict damage Yusei. Nevertheless, Hideo still stands in his way. Yusei asks Hideo to step away quickly. Hideo doesn't get away from his position but stands firmly to receive the actual impact for Yusei. Yusei's LP anyway drops to 50 (350-300). Hideo is holding himself up against the gust of black rose scratching his entire body. Aki says that if she removes a Plant-Type monster in the end phase of her next turn, Yusei's LP will turn to 0 eventually (50-300). She ends her turn at this point, expecting the game to end in her next turn. The black rose storm still exists. Hideo is groaning in pain to stand up against the actual impact from the storm. Yusei is surprised by seeing that the impact from Aki's power hasn't stopped yet despite the fact that her turn has already been over. This makes him doubt whether Aki actually is unable to control her power as she wishes. The storm hasn't stopped, and Hideo begins to step up and walks into his daughter. He walks slowly step by step and begs Aki to come back to them. The more he walks in, the more pain he receives from the black rose storm. Aki yells at her dad and tells him to stop coming for her. Yusei tells Hideo to walk further as it's too dangerous. Hideo says that he is fine with this. He has already made a decision that he won't turn himself away from Aki anymore no matter how much Aki will hurt him. He will listen to every single whisper from her. Aki keeps refusing her dad and saying that she doesn't believe his words at all. Yusei calls Aki to wake her up. He asks whether the eyes to watch over her and the ears to respond to her sorrow aren't right now in front of her. He even asks whether her parents aren't the place where she can return to. Aki looks at his dad now walking toward her and her mum looking worried about her. They are now in front of her, but she still shakes her head and wants to refuse them. Yusei therefore plans to break the shell, which wraps her in hatred, into pieces.
10th turn - Yusei Yusei draws to run his last chance and gets Silver Wing, which he has waited for. He equips [Silver Wing ~ Hakugin No Tsubasa - Equipment Spell: Can only be equipped to a level 8 or higher monster. The equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle twice per turn. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by a card's effect, you can destroy this card instead] with Stardust Dragon. Yusei continues by activating [Restrain Release Wave ~ Kousoku Kaihouka - Spell: Destroy 1 Equipment Magic card face-up on your side of the field to activate. Destroy all Magic and Trap cards on your opponent's side of the field]. Aki looks stunned once this card is played. It's what Yusei has held to activate since the 8th turn when he was waiting for Silver Wing to come.
According to the effect of Restrain Release Wave, Yusei has to destroy 1 equipment spell card to destroy all spell/trap cards on Aki's field. This explains why he has waited for Silver Wing currently equipped with Stardust Dragon. Yusei certainly destroys Silver Wing to destroy all of spell/trap cards, which include Des Petal Countdown and Thorns of Hatred. Without Thorns of Hatred, the attack power of Black Rose Dragon and Stardust Dragon return to their original points of 2400 and 2500 respectively. Destroy 1 Equipment Magic card face-up on your side of the field to activate. Destroy all Magic and Trap cards on your opponent's side of the field. Aki is looking amazed by the sudden change. Stardust Dragon appears to have higher ATK than Black Rose Dragon now. Yusei therefore declares the attack of Stardust Dragon, "Shooting Sonic!", to burn out Black Rose Dragon. This strike reduces Aki's LP to 3500 (3600+2400-2500).
At this moment, Aki activates the monster effect of [Guard Hedge - 3/0/2100: During Damage Calculations, you can activate this card by sending it from your hand to the Cemetery. A monster on your side of the field cannot be destroyed by battle and half its attack power until the End Phase of this turn] from her hand. By sending this monster from hand to the cemetery, she can negate destruction of a monster on the field. Thus, Black Rose Dragon can't be destroyed by battle and reappears on the field. It anyway reduces the ATK of Black Rose Dragon by a half to 1200 (2400/2). The black rose storm created by Aki's power is getting stronger, and there is no sign to be stopped. Hideo is trying to hold himself up in the middle of the storm and calling for his daughter. Aki calls her dad back and looks much softer. She looks up and sees many objects flying in the air by the black rose storm created by her own power. Aki is afraid that her power doesn't listen to her. Whatever she sees is the picture of her dad getting hurt by her power. Hideo is screaming louder, making Aki hurt even more. She truly doesn't want to hurt her dad but can't control her power. She yells for everything to be stopped. Suddenly, a big object flies quickly toward Hideo. Aki unconsciously hands out to make the object stop and drop onto the floor. The black rose storm also disappears. Aki is surprised by that she has been able to control her power by the first time.
Hideo collapses onto his knees, and Aki quickly runs into him. Aki looks at her dad before turning up to face Yusei. She has already made a decision, asking Yusei to end this battle for her. Yusei nods his head to follow as she wishes. He opens his face-down trap card [Synchro Halo - Trap: You can activate this card if a Synchro Monster on your side of the field cannot destroy an opposing monster by battle. You can double that Synchro Monster's attack power and attack once more during this Battle Phase]. This card can be played with a Synchro monster or Stardust Dragon that can't destroy a monster in battle. It allows Stardust Dragon to double its ATK and attack one more time. The attack power of Stardust therefore increases to 5000 (2500*2). At this moment, Aki is holding Hideo's arm over her shoulders, getting up, and nodding her head to Yusei. Yusei understands what Aki wants him to do. He is going to break the spell of the witch, declaring the last attack of Stardust Dragon, "Shooting Sonic!", to destroy Black Rose Dragon. This attack eventually reduces Aki's LP to 0 (3500+1200-5000). Aki doesn't look worried at all but looks very happy in her dad's arms. She hugs Hideo back before everything fades away.
Duel End Aki collapses in Hideo's arms. She then wakes up with full tears in her eyes, calling for her dad. Hideo hugs Aki tightly in his arms and apologizes her. No matter what kind of power Aki had or how much he was scared, he should have held her tight like this. That's because he loves her. Aki responses that she also loves her dad. She asks whether her dad will be okay as she has hurt him very much. Yusei walks in and convinces Aki that her father said that he would accept her and receive everything. If she wants so, her dad is the place where she can be with. Yusei would like her to think and draw a conclusion by herself from now on. Aki still cries but looks very soft. She touches her dad's hand and accepts that here is truly her place. Yusei smiles and is glad to see the happy ending. Both Hideo and Setsuko then cry for having their daughter back. Rua cheers up out loud and walks into people along with Ruca. He realizes that the dragon's birthmark should be a bond of friendship although he doesn't have one. The 4 dragon's birthmarks bind them together. Yusei opens his sleeve to see his dragon's birthmark. He says that everyone is pulled together by this birthmark and finally becomes friends. It isn't a wretched mark as Aki thought. His words make Jack and Ruca stunned. Aki turns her face away and notes that she once had a friend she believed in. That friend is truly Divine, and this feeling is still in her heart. Yusei tells her that he also has a friend like that. Their thought couldn't get along, so they were apart. The person Yusei is talking about is Kiryu. Yusei can't see how those thoughts will be settled. However, if a partner is called to be a friend, Yusei will prepare for the worst and move forward. Everyone looks impressed by Yusei's words. Anyway, Yusei still looks concerned and uncertain about his future.
