EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 1

At a big and beautiful mansion, Yusei is saved by a twin, Rua and Ruca. Both take him to sleep on a sofa in their living room. Ruca wonders what the mark on Yusei's cheek means. Rua explains that it means that a person is arrested by the security. Ruca doubts whether this mean Yusei is a bad guy. Rua remembers what Ruca said earlier that the card spirits were all okey. Both are looking at Yusei's deck placed on the table nearby. Ruca places her hand on Yusei's deck and can feel that this deck is taken care off well preciously. Thus, she is convinced that Yusei should be okey. Her words make Rua feel so relieved.

Yusei finally wakes up and gets up. Seeing the twin, he asks who they are. Rua asks whether Yusei can't remember that he collapsed at the downstairs last night. Yusei looks worried as trying to recognize what happened. Rua takes this moment to introduce himself and his twin sister, Ruca. Both look very friendly to Yusei, but Yusei always looks concerned. He looks at his deck on the table and picks it up. Rua then asks what Yusei's name is, and Yusei tells them his name.

Yusei asks the twin where he is. Rua replies that it's their house in the residential area called [Tops] where is at the highest place of Neo Domino City. At the same time, the curtain is opened, and there is such a beautiful garden outside the big windows and gorgeous view of Neo Domino City. Yusei looks a bit surprised by being here.

Down to the entrance of Tops area, Ushio is arguing against a security who doesn't let him in. He asks why he can't be inside Tops. The security clarifies that he doesn't mean that Ushio can't get in. For Satellite investigators to conduct investigation in the residential area, Tops, they need formal authorization through the proper procedure. Ushio is annoyed and tries to explain that it is possible that a Satellite scum is in there. The security insists that Ushio is required to go through proper procedure anyway.

Ushio finally gives up and gets back to talk to another security in a car. He hardly believes that he is treated like a scum. The security tries to comfort him that it's normal attitude for the securities natively born in the city. Ushio gets very and hits the car. This hasn't been the first time he's annoyed by people from Tops area as these people are difficult to deal with. The security asks what Ushio intends to do next. Ushio is convinced that Yusei must be in Tops area, so they should now settle down and just wait for him here.

While Yusei is getting dressed, Rua asks him excitedly whether Yusei is a duelist. He always duels Ruca and gets bored of her. Ruca thinks that it should be because Rua is too weak. Rua argues that he is going to get stronger. He turns to ask whether Yusei is strong. Yusei doesn't answer this answer but crosses his eyes to Jack's posters behind Rua. The poster has a big text, "Jack Atlus, King of Duelist", and there are also some model figures of Jack and Red Demon's Dragon displayed below the poster.

Rua explains that these are his memorable treasures of the king. It's his dream to become a king and do a riding duel. Ruca says that Rua can do a riding duel without being a king. Rua is annoyed and says that Ruca better shuts up. He turns to ask whether Yusei likes the king as well. Yusei turns his face away and is afraid to say that he has no interest in the king. Rua feels pity as he thinks that Yusei is doing riding duel. Yusei doubts why Rua said so. Rua knows from Yusei's D-Wheel. Yusei sees his D-Wheel on the other side of the room and walks into it.

Seeing Yusei have D-Wheel in possession, Rua thinks that Yusei is a D-Wheeler who wants to be a king. Yusei looks at his D-Wheel and places his hand onto it. Ruca is afraid that Yusei didn't seem to listen to Rua. Rua then runs to pick a letter placed at Jack's model feature and shows it to Yusei excitedly. He may be able to duel the king by this letter, opening it up and showing it to Yusei. It says "Duel Fortune Cup". Rua explains that Kaiba Corporation holds the tournament and randomly selects people to join it, and Ruca was picked up. The winner will be able to duel the king.

Yusei is stunned by this opportunity to fight the king. Anyway, Ruca mentions that she isn't interested in joining. Rua knows that Ruca always acts like this, so he intends to disguise as Ruca and enter this tournament in place of her. Ruca is afraid that there is no way Rua can impersonate her. Rua runs into Ruca and argues that he can as they look exactly the same. Ruca wonders where they look the same, and Rua explains that they are twins. Ruca still thinks that they are not the same. Rua tells her to let him take care of this although the fact is that he is a boy and Ruca is a girl.

As Rua and Ruca are talking, Yusei keeps looking at the invitation letter that Rua showed him. Ruca thinks that Rua is too optimistic as he is toward Yusei. Rua doubts whether this means Ruca doesn't trust Yusei. He remembers Ruca said that Yusei took care of his cards well, and he just wanted to save him out. Ruca closes her eyes and reminds Rua that he is talking very loud now. It's loud enough for Yusei to hear.

Yusei puts the letter back into the envelope and throws it back to the display table. He appreciates the twin's help to let him be here, but he thinks they better don't get involved with him. Rua looks surprised before seeing Yusei walking to the door and asking whether Yusei is leaving. Yusei says that he doesn't want to cause them a trouble. Rua says that Yusei isn't a trouble at all, running to a storage room nearby and looking for a blue duel disk. He equips it with his arm and turns to Yusei.

As Yusei is checking his D-Wheel, Rua calls him to have a duel. He says that a duelist always accepts a challenge he receives. Ruca thinks that Rua is the one causing a trouble now. Rua tells her that he is convinced that Yusei is strong and he just wants to duel a strong guy. He turns to Yusei and asks him play repeatedly as he wants to duel all kinds of people by his skills.

As Rua gets excitedly and raises his arm up, the duel disk becomes loose and drops to his elbow. Rua feels sorry, tries to fix it shortly, and tells Yusei to wait for him. Yusei looks at Rua and sees that he really looks like Rally. He smiles before saying that he agrees to play with him. Rua becomes very excited. Yusei turns to his D-Wheel and takes out the duel disk from the hybrid system. Rua is very impressed as shaking his arms. At this moment, his duel disk can't hold itself around his arm and lose its position again.

Rua, Ruca, and Yusei are now in the garden outside the mansion. Rua is trying to fix his duel disk, making it fit to his arm. Yusei knees down to help him while asking whether there is nobody here besides them. Rua replies that there are only them on this floor. Ruca adds that, as Yusei can see, here is at the top of the hotel, and they are always together by only two of them. Their parents are always busy at work, and they hear from them from time to time. Thus, they are very cozy here.

Rua further explains that they normally can study on line, so they hardly get out. Yusei has already understood the twin's life here and finished tying the duel disk with Rua's arm tightly. Rua swings his arm up and down and thanks Yusei for his help. The duel disk is now tight to his arm. Yusei stands up and tells him to begin. He gives the first turn to Rua. Both of them then are separate to their positions. Ruca is watching them on a coach. Rua stands by his duel disk and says that his deck is pretty strong. Yusei stands by his duel disk in response and tells Rua to begin whenever he wants. The duel then starts.

1st Turn - Rua

The first turn is with Rua. Drawing a card, he looks excited and summons it, [Deformer Mobaphon ~ D・Mobaphon - 1/100/100: This card gains one of the following effects according to this card's battle position: Attack Position: You can roll a six-side dice. Draw an equal number of cards from the top of your Deck. If there is any Level 4 or lower "Deformer" monster(s) among them, you can Special Summon 1 of them regardless of Summoning conditions. Shuffle all other cards back into your Deck. You can use this effect only once per turn. Defense Position: You can roll a six-side dice. Draw and look at equal number of cards from top of your Deck and return them to top of your Deck in the same order. You can use this effect only once per turn], onto the field in attack position.

A yellow telephone appears on the field before it transforms into a machine monster. Rua thinks that it's so cool before explaining its special effect that is based on its battle position. When Deformer Mobaphon is in attack position, he can draw a number of cards equal to the digit dialed on this monster. If there is a Deformer monster with level 4 or less in the drawn cards, he can special summon it.

Rua calls to activate this effect, "Dial On!". He looks so excited that he almost loses balance to stand firmly by the weight of the duel disk. Yusei seems concerned about him. Rua apologizes as the duel disk seems heavy to him. Ruca asks whether Yusei agrees that Rua's duel is noisy. Rua tells Ruca not to talk to much as this is an important part. He repeats, "Dial On!", and digit finally ends up at number 3. This allows him to draw 3 cards.

Note: D・Mobaphon (D・モバホン) can be referred to Deformer Mobilephone, which is the cell phone theme of this monster. Anime presents its function by a dial, but it should be played by rolling a dice in a real game.

Rua draws and sees a Deformer monster with level 3. Thus, he special summons it, [Deformer Magnen U ~ D・Magnen-U - 3/800/800: This card gains one of the following effects according to this card's battle position: Attack Position: If your opponent controls a monster, this card can be an attack target by the monster with the highest ATK your opponent controls. Defense Position: While this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot select another monster you control as an attack target], onto the field in attack position.

Like Deformer Mobaphon, a magnet appears on the field before turning into a machine-magnet monster. Setting up a face-down card, Rua ends his turn. He asks excitedly whether his monsters are cool. Ruca can notice that Rua is more activate than he usually is.

2nd Turn - Yusei

The turn comes to Yusei. Drawing a card, he summons [Speed Warrior - 2/900/300: This can only be activated during the Battle Phase of the turn in which this card is successfully summoned. Double this card's original attack power until the end of the Battle Phase] onto the field in attack position. Due to its special effect, its attack points can double in the turn it's summoned.

Deform
Trap Card

Rua looks stunned as Yusei is declaring the battle. The attack points of Speed Warrior double to 1800 (900*2) while attacking Deformer Magnen U by Sonic Edge. At this moment, Rua opens his face-down trap card [Deform - Trap: This card can only be activated when a monster with "Deformer" in its name face-up on your side of the field is targeted with an attack. Negate the attacking monster's attack and change the battle mode or the attack targeted monster with "Deformer" in its name]. This trap card negates the attack of Speed Warrior toward Deformer Magnen U and changes the position of Deformer Magnen U to defense position.

Yusei smiles and comments that it is an interesting trap. Rua swings his arm around excitedly and says that he just wanted to show him this deformation. Ruca thinks that it's too early for Rua to be cocky. Rua tells Ruca to better sit and watch. He turns and asks whether Yusei has ended his turn already. Yusei confirms that he has finished and done nothing else.

3rd Turn - Rua

The turn is back to Rua. He draws a card and again almost falls off by the weight of the duel disk. Ruca says that Rua just tries to look cool. Rua is mad and says that Ruca is annoying. He then summons another Deformer Magnen U onto the field in defense position. When two Deformer Magnen U are together on the field, they transfer their magnetic force toward Deformer Mobaphon. Rua asks whether this is cool. By the special defense-position effect of Deformer Magnen U, Yusei can't attack any other monster but Deformer Magnen U, and there are even 2 Deformer Magnen U on the field. Yusei doesn't comment anything as it's clear to Ruca that Rua is talking too much today.

EPISODE SUMMARY - PART 2

Around Neo Domino City especially residential Tops area, Ushio is setting up the securities to trail Yusei. He is ordering a security at the entrance of Tops to watch over Yusei at the west gate. Meanwhile, Saiga appears to be safe, watching over securities' movement upon Yusei. He doubts what Yusei intends to do next.

The duel is continued in Rua's turn. He explains the special effect of Deformer Magnen U that if Yusei tries to attack the first Deformer Magnen U, the second Deformer Man gen U will be the first target. However, although Yusei has to turn to attack the second Deformer Magnen U, the first Deformer Magnen U will be the first target. In other words, by this loop, Yusei is unable to attack. Rua calls it to be an impenetrable defense form called "Magne Rock!". Ruca notices that Rua is very active and energetic.

At this moment, Rua activates the special attack-position effect of Deformer Mobaphon and calls "Dial On!". The result of the dial on Deformer Mobaphon ends by digit 2, allowing Rua to draw 2 cards. If there is a Deformer monster with level 4 of less, he can special summon it onto the field without any summoning requirement. Rua draws and gets Deformer Chakkan with level 3, so it can special it, [Deformer Chakkan ~ D・Chakkan - 3/1200/600: This card gains one of the following effects according to this card's battle position: Attack Position: Once per turn, you can Tribute a monster to inflict 600 damage to your opponent. Defense Position: Once per turn, you can inflict 300 damage to your opponent], onto the field in attack position.

Rua says that a cool thing is from now on. He activates a permanent spell card [Gadget Box - Permanent Spell: Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "Gadget Token" (Machine, Earth, 1 Star, ATK/DEF 0.) (They cannot be released for an Advance Summoning.)]. It allows him to special summon 1 Gadget Token once per turn, so a Gadget Token with 0 ATK is special summoned onto the field in attack position. Ruca notes that it's his support part with 0 ATK and DEF.

Spell Card

All parts have come together. Rua activates the special effect of Deformer Chakkan at this timing. Releasing a monster on the field, Deformer Chakkan is able to inflict 600 damage points to the opponent. Thus, Rua releases Gadget Token on the field to inflict 600 damage points to Yusei. He calls its fire shoot, "Chakkan Fire!". Fire bullet hits Yusei and reduces his LP to 3400 (4000-600). Yusei is stunned by that Gadget Token is used for this purpose (not for tribute purpose).

Rua dances around excitedly that he could make it by his combo. It's such a good feeling as he is proud of it and calls it a patented Deformer Deck. Ruca says that it doesn't matter and suggests Rua end his turn. Rua therefore ends his turn and calls for Yusei's turn. Yusei doesn't say anything but smiles.

At the security office, Rex is talking with Jaeger about Duel Fortune Cup and asks about its progress. Jaeger reports that all invitation letters have already sent out except for one. He shows the last invitation up and chuckles. Rex asks whether the invitation should be sent to a Satellite guy, Yusei. Jaeger confirms and reports the current status that Yusei has already got back his deck and D-Wheel from the security warehouse and is now hiding himself at Tops. Rex asks about the marker's response on Yusei's face. Jaeger is certain that there is no mistake about it. Yusei himself might disappear, but it's an amateur's work.

4th Turn - Yusei

Card Flipper
Spell Card

The duel at Tops is continued by Yusei's turn. He draws a card and discards a card, Nitro Synchron from his hand into the cemetery, to activate spell card [Card Flipper - Spell: Send 1 card in your hand to the Cemetery to activated. Change the battle mode of all monsters on your opponent's side of the field]. Rua is surprised as the card is glowing brightly. Yusei explains its effect that it can change battle position of all monsters on Rua's field. This means Deformer Mobaphon and Deformer Chakkan are changed to defense position while two Deformer Magnen U are changed to attack position.

Rua is disappointed to that he has just been able to get his Deformer army together. When their positions change, their effects also change. Ruca is sick of her brother. She tells her to calm down because the duel hasn't been over yet.

Next, Yusei summons a tuner-monster [Junk Synchron - 1/1300/500: When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower monster in your Graveyard in face-up defense mode. Any effects of an Effect Monster Special Summoned by this effect are negated] from his hand onto the field in attack position. Rua is afraid that counterattack from Yusei is coming.

Yusei activates the special effect of Junk Synchron. When it's successfully summoned onto the field, he is able to special summon a monster with level 2 or less from his cemetery. Thus, he special summons [Nitro Synchron - 2/300/100: When this card is sent to the Graveyard by the Synchro Summon of a "Nitro" Synchro Monster, you can draw 1 card] from the graveyard onto the field in defense position.

Rua is surprised by whether Yusei is going to synchro summon a synchro monster with level 7. Ruca tells Rua that Yusei is unable to do so. Rua is confused. He clearly sees that Junk Synchron has level 2, Nitro Synchron has level 3, and Speed Warrior has level 2. Their levels add up to 7 (3+2+2). As Rua is trying to count, he understands that Yusei is going to summon a synchro monster with level 7.

Yusei explains that only 1 tuner monster must be used in synchro summon. Ruca clarifies that both Junk Synchron and Nitro Synchron are tuner monsters, so they both can't be used in a synchro summon. Yusei then tunes Junk Synchron into Speed Warrior, synchro summoning [Junk Warrior - 5/2300/1300: When this card is Synchro Summoned, this card's attack power is increased by the total of the attack power of all Level 2 or lower monsters face-up on your side of the field] onto the field in attack position.

Note: A Synchro Summon is a new combination between a Tuner and non-Tuner monster. In order to perform a Synchro Summon, the levels of the Tuner and non-Tuner monsters must add up to be the exact level of the desired Synchro monster (no more, no less). Once that is satisfied, the two monsters are sent to the Cemetery, and the Synchro monster can be summoned from the Extra Deck. In this case, Junk Synchron (Tuner Monster) has 3 stars while Speed Warrior (Non-Tuner Monster) has 2 stars. Their stars are added up to 5 (3+2), the star level of Speed Warrior (Synchron Monster) exactly.

Rua thinks that it looks so cool although he looks a bit scared. Yusei hasn't done with his synchro summon. He further tunes Nitro Synchron into Junk Warrior, synchro summoning [Nitro Warrior - 7/2800/1800: During your turn, if you activate a Spell card, increase this card's ATK by 1000 Points only once during this turn's damage calculation only. If this card destroys an opponent's monster in battle, you can change 1 face-up Defense Position monster your opponent controls to Attack Position and attack that monster again] onto the field in attack position.

In this case, Nitro Synchron (Tuner Monster) has 2 stars while Junk Warrior (Non-Tuner Monster) has 5 stars. Their stars are added up to 7 (2+5), the star level of Nitro Warrior (Synchron Monster) exactly.

Rua's fighting spirit is on fire after seeing the double synchro summons. It's very cool. Yusei starts his battle by declaring the attack of Nitro Warrior to destroy Deformer Magnen U. This strike reduces Rua's LP to 2000 (4000+800-2800). Yusei explains the special effect of Nitro Warrior that when it can successfully destroy a monster in battle, it can change a monster from defense position to attack position and battle that monster. He selects to change Deformer Mobaphon from defense to attack position, declaring the attack of Nitro Warrior toward it. Deformer Mobaphon is destroyed, and Rua's LP decreases to 0. The game ends by the victory of Yusei.

Duel End

Ruca notices Rua standing still and crying. She walks into him and comments that Rua cries so quick. Rua is trying to wipe his tears and saying that he isn't crying. Yusei walks into the twin. He comments that he could feel that Rua enjoyed a duel from the his heart. However, he sees that Rua's duel is too committed to himself. Rua looks uncertain to what Yusei means. Yusei asks whether Rua was satisfied merely by that his 4 Deformer monsters were collected together. His words make Rua begin to think.

Yusei explains that the effect of Deformer monsters depend on condition (Attack or Defense positions), but it is a duel that can change their condition. It should be difficult and the path to become a king will be long if Rua keeps dueling without knowing counterattack (Yusei tries to teach Rua that he shouldn't be committed only to his monsters but think more about counterattack by controlling position of the monsters). Ruca tries to comfort Rua and cheer him up. Rua stops crying and asks Yusei duel him again.

Yusei agrees to do so later, thanks the twin for their help, turns back, and begins to walk off. Rua asks him not to go. Yusei points to the marker on his face and tells him to take a look at it. If they are with him, they will be in trouble. Rua doesn't understand and asks for reasons. He just wants to help him and be his power. Ruca smiles and says that there means he wants to be Rua's power and help him out again. Rua tries to argue as he doesn't want Yusei to leave. Anyway, Ruca tries to compromise, turning to Yusei and suggesting him take a rest here for today. Rua smiles and quickly turns to Yusei. Yusei doesn't answer but looks up into the blue sky.

At night, Ushio is yarning and still waiting for Yusei at the entrance of Tops. He just hopes that the satellite scum will come out soon. Rua and Ruca are sleeping in their rooms while Yusei is fixing the duel disks of the twin in the living room to fit their small arms. After finishing, he leaves the room without saying anything. Yusei takes his D-Wheel and puts on his helmet, going down to the ground level by an elevator. When he leaves the elevator, he looks around to make sure that there is nobody trailing, starts the engine, and takes off.

Yusei is riding into a street, and Ushio suddenly appears in front of him. Ushio greets him that he has already waited for his coming. Yusei quickly tries to break along with Ushio hindering his way. At the same time, Saiga is hiding himself in a nearby street and watching over Yusei facing Ushio now. He is afraid that Ushio has already found Yusei before him. Ushio suggests Yusei better give up. Yusei stares at him before accelerates the engine and tries to turn his D-Wheel away.

Ushio understands that Yusei is trying to run away, so he prepares to follow up. at the moment, spot light of a luxurious car is turned on toward both of them. Even Ushio doesn't understand what's going on. Jaeger steps down from the car with a security mark and walks toward Yusei. Saiga seems to recognize the mark once he sees it. Jaeger calls an inspector, Ushio, to leave Yusei with the public security maintenance bureau. He introduces himself as a chief of the special investigation and shows his ID to Ushio.

Jaeger seems to recognize Ushio while Ushio is getting surprised by the special investigation department. Jaeger explains that he has come here with a message from the director, Rex Godwin, to Yusei. Ushio tries to claim Yusei's crime that he stole D-Wheel from the security warehouse. Jaeger doesn't want to argue but suggests Ushio better not disobey the order of the director. Ushio clearly looks angry but can't do anything.

Yusei asks Jaeger what he wants from him. Jaeger just hands over Yusei an invitation to Duel Fortune Cup with a picture of his friends at Satellite, Rally, Taka, Blitz, and Nerve. He makes it short that he would like Yusei to participate in Duel Fortune Cup. If Yusei refuses, his friends in the picture will experience such a pain beyond imagination. Jaeger hopes Yusei understands it clearly before walking away and laughing evilly. Yusei looks at the picture and the invitation. He grabs the invitation with fingers and looks very angry toward Jaeger as his car is leaving.
