The alarm rings everywhere in the detention center following by the announcement that an intruder is arrested in the electric room. Takasu is surprised by the news of the intruder while trying to stand up. He looks dizzy and tries to shake his head around. The securities then bring the intruder to Takasu. The intruder appears to be Aoyama. Yusei is very surprised by seeing Aoyama here, so are Himuro and Yanagi.
Takasu asks how Aoyama could escape from his room. A security explains that they found a hole under Aoyama's bed, which he used to escape. Takasu looks very mad at Aoyama. Nevertheless more importantly, he tells the security to cut off the electric current from his duel disk quickly. Aoyama is afraid that Takasu can't do so. Takasu asks what Aoyama means by that.
The officer is reporting from the controller room that the control panel has already been destroyed, so the electric power to the duel disk can't be cut off. Takasu is very angry and says that he will kill Aoyama after beating the Satellite scum or Yusei. Aoyama smiles, doesn't care, and tells Takasu to say whatever he wants. He believes that Takasu can't beat Yusei anyway.
Yusei asks Aoyama directly why Aoyama has returned. Aoyama says that Yusei is right. If one runs away and leaves your friends alone, his heart will be shackled on. No matter how the person live in that way, he won't get true freedom. Yusei turns to Takasu and says that if Takasu is going to judge Aoyama's crime, Yusei is going to add a new condition into this duel. If Yusei wins, Takasu must be blind to Aoyama's break. Aoyama is a bit surprised by that Yusei is helping him. Takasu is fine with that condition. However, if Yusei loses, Aoyama must go down with him.

Yusei resumes the duel by activating the special effect of Exiled Force. Releasing Exiled Force and sending it to the cemetery, he is able to destroy a monster, Chain Repairer, on Takasu's field. Because the trap card, Soul Anchor, is equipped with Chain Repairer as an equipment card, it is destroyed along with Chain Repairer. By the effect of Soul Anchor, Chain Repairer can't be destroyed in battle. Thus, Yusei destroyed it by the card's effect or the special effect of Exiled Force. He looks very confident as ending his turn.
By this, Himuro can see that 3 cards will be written off in the next turn by the effect of Poison Chain. Yanagi thinks that the skin of his neck will be connected to the last card in his deck (Yusei has 4 cards left in his deck. If 3 are drawn, only 1 remains). Anyway, Himuro thinks that Yusei shouldn't be careless. If Takasu can summon a monster in the next turn, 4 cards will be totally discarded. Yusei's defeat will be determined.
Noted 1: What Himuro has just said doesn't seem to make sense totally. By the effect of Poison Chain, Yusei has to discard cards by the number of total combined level of Chain monsters on Takasu's field. Takasu has only Chain Shooter with level 2 on the field, so the number of cards Yusei has to discard by the effect of Poison Chain is subject to 2 not 3 as Himuro said. Yusei is going to discard 3 cards in the following turn but not by the effect of Poison Chain but by the special effect of Takasu's Synchro Monster, Chain Dragon. Takasu hasn't played it yet, so there is no way that Himuro can expect 3 cards to be discarded by the effect of Chain Dragon.
Noted 2: Another comment from Himuro that doesn't seem to make sense is that 4 cards may be discarded by the effect of Poison Chain if Takasu can summon a monster. He is based on the assumption that Yusei will certainly discard 3 cards in the next turn when Takasu summons nothing. Thus, if Takasu can summon another monster, which must have at least level 1, the total combined level of all Chain monsters will be at least 4 (3+1). Thus, Yusei has to discard 4 cards into the cemetery by the effect of Poison Chain. When his following turn comes, he will be defeated as since has no card to draw. Because Himuro's assumption is wrong as described in Note 1 above, Yusei may not lose all 4 cards although Himuro can summon a monster unless the monster has level higher than 1.
The structure of Yusei's card has been as following by now:

10th Turn - Takasu
The turn is with Takasu. Drawing a card, he gets Nobleman of Crossout. He feels pity that it isn't a monster card (If it's a Chain Monster, he can summon it to increase the number of cards Yusei has to discard into the cemetery by the effect of Poison Chain). Yusei is just luck. Anyway, Takasu thinks that it doesn't change anything because he has already seen through Yusei's whole play since the beginning. The detention center is his field. Takasu has known all of Yusei's cards from the surveillance cameras from the start. The mysterious guy with the hat in the monitor room is actually the security observing Yusei's cards and reporting to Takasu secretly.
Because of the observation, Takasu knows the 2 face-down cards on Yusei's field. One on the right is Taunt (The right side of Takasu or left side of Yusei), which can't be activated in this turn. Another one is Battle Mania that can force monsters to attack. If Takasu is forced to battle The Kick Man powered up by Axe of Despair, he will gain disadvantage (His Chain monster obviously has lower ATK). Therefore, he plans to get rid of Battle Mania.
Takasu then activates his spell card [Reload - Quick Play Spell: Add all the cards in your hand to your Deck and shuffle it. Then draw the same number of cards that you added to your Deck], returning the 2 cards to his deck, shuffling it (his duel disk automatically shuffles the deck), and drawing 2 new cards. The cards he gets are Chain Coil and Mystical Space Typhoon.
Takasu laughs loudly before activating [Mystical Space Typhoon ~ Cyclone - Quick Play Spell: Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field] from his hand to destroy the left face-down card (the right card on Yusei's side) on Yusei's field, which he thinks is Battle Mania. Unfortunately, the card doesn't appear to be Battle Mania but Taunt.
 |
Battle Mania
Trap Card |
At this moment, Yusei activates the last face-down trap card [Battle Mania - Trap: You can only activate this card during
your opponent's turn's Standby Phase. All monsters on
your opponent's side of the field are switched into
attack mode and cannot switch their battle modes during
this turn. Also, any opposing monsters able to attack
must attack during this turn]. Himuro thinks that it is such a smart play. By this effect, Takasu is forced to battle in this turn. If he battles, he is unable to activate the effect of Poison Chain to force Yusei to discard cards into the cemetery (It is the condition on Poison Chain's effect itself).
Thus, the effect of Poison Chain is sealed completely in this turn by Battle Mania. This is what Takasu has been concerned, so he tried early to destroy it but ended up with destroying the wrong card, Taunt. Takasu asks the security in the monitor room through his communicator equipped at the collar what happened because the face-down card seemed different from what's reported. The security convinces that the position of the face-down cards are certainly correct. However, the order might be changed during the power shortage earlier. Takasu is very mad. Either one way or another, he tells himself that he must end up Yusei's life.
Because Takasu can't plan to discard Yusei's cards in this turn, he changes his plan to show Yusei the terror of his deck. He summons a tuner monster, [Chain Coil - 4/1100/1600: Select 1 monster with "Chain" in its name other than this card on your side of the field. The selected monster gain 300 ATK and DEF. This effect can only be used once per turn], onto the field in attack position and tunes it with Chain Shooter, synchro summoning [Chain Dragon - 6/2500/1300: Increase the ATK of this card by
200 Points for each monster with C (Chain) in your
Graveyard. When this card destroys an opponent monster
by battle you can send a number of cards from the top of
your opponent's deck equal to the level of the monster
destroyed] onto the field in attack position.

Chain Coil
Tuner Monster Card |
Chain Dragon
Synchro Monster Card
|
Note: A Synchro Summon is a new combination between a tuner and non-tuner monster. In order to perform a Synchro Summon, the levels of the tuner and non-tuner monsters must add up to be the exact level of the desired Synchro monster (no more, no less). Once that is satisfied, the two monsters are sent to the Cemetery, and the Synchro monster can be summoned from the Extra Deck. In this case, Chain Coil (Tuner Monster) has 4 stars while Chain Shooter (Non-Tuner Monster) has 2 stars. Their stars are added up to 6 (4+2), the star level, of Chain Dragon (Synchron Monster) exactly.
According to the special effect of Chain Dragon, its ATK can increase by 200 points for each Chain monsters in his cemetery. There are Chain Coil, 2 Chain Snakes, Chain Repairer, and Chain Shooter with the total of 5 Chain monsters in the graveyard, so the attack points of Chain Dragon are powered up to 3500 (2500+200*5).
Takasu declares the attack of Chain Dragon, "Chain Blast", to destroy The Kick Man. Yusei screams with pain when the electric current runs through his body as his LP decreases to 400 (1600+2300-3500). Takasu then activates the special effect of Chain Dragon. When it can successfully destroy a monster (The Kick Man in this case), Yusei must discard cards equal to the level of the destroyed monster. The Kick Man has level 3, so Yusei has to discard 3 cards (Although Yusei can be saved from the effect of Poison Chain in this turn due to the effect of Battle Mania, he still has to discard cards by the special effect of Chain Dragon), which are Yaranzo, Night Assailant, and Karate Man respectively.
By the effect of Paralyze Chain, when Yusei sends cards to the cemetery, he must receive 300 damage points. This reduces his LP to 100 (400-300). Yusei again cries loudly with pain from the electric current. Receiving the electric current multiple times, he finally collapses onto his knees. Everyone becomes worried about him, and Takasu declares to end his turn.

11th Turn - Yusei
Yusei struggles to stand up weakly and draws the last card in his deck. It's the last opportunity for him as well. The card Yusei can draw is a trap card, Blasting the Ruins. Everyone looks very concerned as Yusei has nothing left on the field. Takasu laughs loudly and says that Yusei has only 100 LP left and, 1 card on his hand, and 0 in his deck. Furthermore, he has no face-down card. The result of the game seems to be determined already. Yusei says confidently that the result of the duel has already been determined by Takasu's defeat not his. Takasu is surprised by what Yusei is talking about.
Yusei thanks Takasu for sending many of his cards to the graveyard. This can convince Yusei the victory. Yusei comments that Takasu keeps calling him and people a trash, and he is totally wrong. This duel will prove that there is no useless human in the world. As Yusei is talking, his left hand is showing a hidden card that Takasu hasn't been aware of. Takasu is pretty shocked because this results in the 2 cards on Yusei's hand not 1 as he has understood.
Yusei says that he has already been aware of Takasu spying the cards on his hand through the surveillance cameras. Therefore, he has hidden his key card from the cameras during the power shortage. The card Yusei has hidden is King of Rubble, the trump card to reverse this game.
Note: As described early, Yusei got King of Rubble in the regular draw at the 9th turn. However, he would like to hide it from Takasu, so anime hasn't displayed this card on his hand until this turn. Yusei took a chance in the 9th turn during the power outage to hide King of Rubble into his glove, so the securities couldn't see it. Takasu then miscounted the cards on his hand in the early of this turn and misunderstood that Yusei had 1 card instead of 2, which are Blasting the Ruins and King of Rubble.
Yusei says that when information Takasu got from the surveillance cameras was wrong in the 10th turn (Takasu tried to destroy Battle Mania but got the wrong card until he destroyed Taunt instead), he thinks that Takasu should have been more careful. In other words, Takasu should have been aware of something that might be wrong. Takasu gets very mad after realizing how Yusei counters him.

Noted: Lastly, the structure of Yusei's card has been as following by now:
On Hands (2)
- King of Rubble
- Blasting the Ruins
Graveyard (38)
- Karate Man
- Night Assailant

Yusei then summons [King of Rubble ~ Gareki No Ou - 1/0/0: If there are 30 or more cards in your
Cemetery, you can activate a Trap card from your hand. This
effect can only be used once per turn] from his hand onto the field in attack position. According to its effect, it allows him to play a trap card on his hand when there are more than 30 cards in the cemetery (Normally per OCG rule, you have to set a trap card and wait for the next turn to activate it). There are currently 38 cards in Yusei's cemetery, so the condition to play the effect of King of Rubble is satisfied (See the listing of all cards in Yusei's graveyard in the table above).
Yusei activates the last trap card [Blasting of Ruins ~ Zangai Bakuha - Trap: You can only activate this card if there are 30 or more cards in your Graveyard. Inflict 3000 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points] from his hand through the special effect of King of Rubble. Due to its effect, it can inflict direct 3000 damage points to the opponent when there are more than 30 cards in the cemetery. Again, Yusei has 38 cards in his graveyard, so the condition to play the effect of Blasting of Ruins is satisfied.

Takasu is very shocked while receiving the 3000 damage points. The electric current runs through his body as he is crying loudly in pain. He is shocked so much that he collapses onto the floor. His LP decreases to 0 (1900-3000), and he is eventually defeated. Yusei wins the game by leaving 100 LP left and playing all cards in his deck.
Note: The key trump card shouldn't be King of Rubble but Blasting of Ruins because King of Rubble's effect just helps Yusei play Blasting of Ruins from his hand. On the other hand, the effect of Blasting of Ruins is critical for Yusei to win this game as it inflicts significant 3000 damage points in a time. It should be a coincidence that Blasting of Ruins was the last card in Yusei's deck, and he could draw it in the last turn. If Blasting of Ruins had been discarded into the cemetery by the effect of Poison Chain earlier, Yusei wouldn't have had a chance to play it and win the game. This can be his luck in drawing.
DUEL END
Everybody is happy to Yusei's beautiful victory. Their cards could finally beat the warden. People cheer and call Yusei's name repeatedly. Takasu struggles to get up and tells the securities to catch Yusei. Yusei becomes surprised, and Aoyama claims that this is different from what Takasu has promised. Takasu argues that he has never remembered any stupid promise to any of people.
At this moment, Rex interrupts and stops Takasu from further act. Takasu looks up and sees Rex standing on a bridge above. Rex has watched over this duel until now and realized that Takasu wasn't capable of keeping things in order. Thus, he thinks that Takasu should be the one to leave. Takasu heads down as looking upset to the consequence. Rex looks at Yusei, doesn't say anything, and walks away.
At the duel field in the detention center, Yusei is talking to Himuro, Aoyama, and Yanagi for the last time. Himuro congratulates Yusei that Yusei is going to leave the detention center soon. Aoyama thinks that the appearance of Rex Godwin helped very much. Yanagi is glad that they seem to leave here soon as well. Aoyama notes that Rex came all his way here perhaps because he was concerned about Yusei. Yusei looks nervous and doesn't look happy about it.

Yanagi then gives Yusei a trap card, Totem Pole. Yusei is about to refuse, but Yanagi insists Yusei to keep and use it worthwhile. Yusei convinces him that he will use it preciously. Similarly, Himuro gives his monster card, Great Bull Djnn, to Yusei. He says that there is a guy named [Saiga] at the bar named [Bootleg] in downtown. If Yusei shows this card to him, Saiga will give Yusei a hand. Yusei looks at the card and thanks Himuro very much.
At the main security building, Jaeger is talking to Rex in his office. He asks whether Rex is certain to let Yusei free as he pleases. Rex explains that he can't help because Yusei seemingly could 't awake his power of Signers when he was at the detention center. Also, he doesn't mean that he is going to let Yusei go as he pleases. In that case, Jaeger thinks that a trap seems necessary.
The gate at the detention center is open, and Yusei is now allowed to be free. He is walking out the detention center while there is a man in a security bike watching over his step. The man appears to be Ushio. He has realized that Yusei finally shows up here. Ushio takes off his helmet, and there appears a big and scary scar on his face. He looks very angry and plans to let Yusei pay for this scar (Ushio lost to Yusei and should get the scar from the garbage flowing into the pipeline in episode 3).

To be continued...
