After Yu Gi Oh Duel Monster series ended, Yu Gi Oh GX continued from October 2004 and was scheduled to end in March 2008. The original TV production has planned a new series of Yu Gi Oh, and here is the beginning of Yu Gi Oh 5D's series that is going to run in Japan in place of Yu Gi Oh GX from April 2nd, 2008 on.

This series is a newly original animation that is going to form new Yu Gi Oh history. The story starts in Domino Ciy many years after the legend of Yugi Mutou and other people. It's an advanture in such an developed world and evoled duel disks.

The main feature of Yu Gi Oh 5D's is at the theme of animation, the future world of Domino City with a stratified society. This is several years later after the time Mutou Yugi lived there. It's such a modern town with high-tech residents, skyscrapers, stadiums, and even dueling system. They city is called [Neo Domino City]. In this series, you don't have just to stand dueling but ride with it. [Riding Duel] is a new duel system introducted in this series. It is a speed duel applying the latest high-tech and advanced motorcycle duel disks called [D Wheel]. The duelists are competing in Riding Duel that still focuses on card game with new [master rule]. Certainly, this new series is coming with all new-brand monsters and duel scenes. Many new characters are also presented. See further information about each character in our [characters] page.

In the story, [Fudou Yusei] is the main character in this series. He is a protagonist who owns a Red D-Wheel speeding off from the lower-class area to set on the upper-class area or a duel stadium. Yusei has a rival named [Jack Atlas], Riding Duel Champion, who stole Yusei's important [Stardust Dragon]. Jack is at the duel stadium, and he is the reason why aims to there. Both people finally confront each other. Their hearts pack with emotions as their ace monsters, Stardust Dragon of Yusei and [Red Demon's Dragon], strike each other. This dragon battle causes a mysterious red dragon to appear and the dragon's birthmark on Yusei's arm to arise. A lot of destiny set by the dragon's birthmark is about to move.

[Red D-Wheel]

This is the prototype of the red D-Wheel that the main character, Fudou Yusei, is using in Riding Duel tournament in Yu Gi Oh D5's series. He is using it against the act of the Riding Duel, Jack Atlas.
