Yusei is a new and main character in this series. He is considered a rare duelist riding [Red D-Wheel]. Yusei is familiar with machine and computer, so he assembles D-Wheel by himself. His personality is very different from Judai in GX series but similar to Mutou Yugi. He looks cool and smart with hot heart especially in a duel and always thinks about his friends.

After fighting Jack Atlus, [Dragon's Birthmark] appears on his arm and makes him become a [Signer ~ シグナー]. The story mainly focuses on Yusei. As people live in gorgeous Neo Domino City, he lives with his scums in the old Satellite plant. Yusei assembles his D-Wheel from any material he can get from this junk place. This is the source of his deck's concept of Junk (ie. Junk Warrior). Yusei plans to have a decisive battle with Jack because Jack stole his D-Wheel and ace card.

Seeing his look, you may think of Rafael from Yu Gi Oh Doma series. Jack is certainly Yusei's rival and also the ruler or [King/Champion] of Riding Duels. His intelligent duel dominates all challengers. Jack has arrogant personality and thinks that there should be only 1 king. He was also born with [Dragon's Birthmark] in his arm.

Aki is a duelist with supernatural duel abilities and is always worried about her unusual power. Thus, she tries to keep herself away from people. Aki thinks that her power is a fault of disgusting [Dragon's Birthmark]. However, when she meets Yusei, she begins to change.

Rua is the older brother of his twin, Ruca. Rua & Ruca are twin duelists. Although they are young, they approach into harsh duels and love to be with Yusei. Rua is a boy with lively character. He hates to be defeated, so he always cries when he loses in a duel. He also thinks about protecting his delicate sister.

Ruca is a younger sister of her twin, Rua. She looks, smart, and calm like a grown adult, throwing herself into blundering Rua. She also has ability to understand words of card spirits and usually gets exhausted after a duel.

Rex is the director of the public security maintenance bureau in Neo Domino City. With his elitism, he transforms the city into a hierarchical society. He is also the leader of Yliaster group that is searching for 5 Signers. Once, he was Dr. Fudo's assistant on Mormetn's development.

Ushio is a security staff who observes residents around the Satellite area. He has a violent character but holds high esteem as a duelist. His job is to monitor and control people in Satellite area.

To recall, Ushio appears once in the first episode of [Yu Gi Oh series 0]. He is a bad character who acts as a student guard and tries to get money from the students for his protection service. Yugi used to be one of his victims.

Although Rally looks cute like a girl, he is a boy. In order to help Yusei duel Jack, he becomes a thief to steal a new chip for Yusei's Red D-Wheel. The security puts a criminal mark onto his face. This mark can send a signal to the security system and locate everywhere he is.

Three of them are Yusei's Satellite friends who always hang out with him under his underground base.

Mukuro is a challenger in the title match of Jack. He has a skill in trap and monster effects, but it still doesn't work with the king like Jack. Jack plays him around before crushing him down to entertain the audiences.

A troublesome guy used to live in Neo Domino City. With his bad behavior, he is sent to Satellite. He usually talks big about his background as a high-class people in the city and looks down everybody around him. He then approaches into a duel with Yusei in order to take D-Wheel from him.

Akutsu is an engineer at MIDS, Momentum Research Department of Kaiba Corporation. He is very attract to Momentum that is the source of tremendous energy supplied to Neo Domino City. He usually over acts and creates such a amazing project to develop his Momentum machine.

She is an assistant of Rex and assigned to take care of Jack. Rex is very angry at her when he knows that she is unable to stop Jack from going out to meet with a Satellite scum, Yusei.

Yeager is the chief of the special investigation for the public security maintenance bureau, working very closely with the director, Rex Godwin, and helping him search for 5 Signers.

An ex-pro duelist is sent to the detention center and becomes a leader there. He rules the place by dueling newcomers and sets a rank with people. Any low-level people must obey the top-level people. Dueling Yusei makes his duelist's spirit return. He finally becomes Yusei's close friend and always follows him.

Last Name: Tenzen

He is an over friendly old man sent to the detention center with Yusei. By accident, he sees the red dragon that appears at the duel stadium and knows that Yusei is one of the Signers who can summon it. He is also very attracted to his deck that fully represents rare items of the human world. Like Himuro, Yanagi becomes Yusei's good friend and hangs around with him.

Takasu is a tough warden at the detention center, reporting directly to Rex Godwin. He has never been nice to prisoners especially Satellite people. His commonly annoying act is pulling his nose hair and blowing it in front of anybody whom he wants to insult. He loves taking freedom from prisoners, and his personal tool is a chain to bind the freedom.

He is an official host or an announcer in duel matches at the duel stadium. His job is to introduce the duelists and describe the game. He sometime encourages the audiences to cheer up and creates exciting environment in a duel.

He is a roommate of Yusei at the detention center, finding the way to escape from there. With his skill, he is able to help Yusei in his duel against Takasu by fixing the system so that Takasu can fairly receive the same pain as Yusei from the shocking system.

Saiga doesn't have an explicit career but can be people's hand to get anything one wants. Because of some accident in the past, he no longer believes in bond of friendship or trust among friends. Saiga has technical knowledge and applies his expertise to help Yusei sneak into the security warehouse in order to get his D-Wheel and deck back.

A mysterious and strong duelist called Black Rose Witch (Anshoubi No Majyo) appears in Daimon area. The true identity is actually Aki. Yusei meets her there and finds that Black Rose Witch also obtains a scary dragon and a dragon's mark like him. They haven't had a chance to talk to each other yet, but their destiny is waiting in Duel Fortune Cup.

Tempei is Rua's close friend. He and Rua are both attracted to a mysterious duelist, Black Rose Witch. Tempei creates his strongest deck and goes with Rua to Daimon area in order to meet this duelist.

Bommer is Rua's opponent in the first match of Duel Fortune Cup. He can notice that Rua disguising as Ruca acts like a boy rather than a girl. Anyway, he doesn't take it easy on him, pushing Rua into a corner by his Reactor deck.

An iron-blooded knight is Aki's opponent in the second match of Duel Fortune Cup. He is provoked to disclose Aki's true identity, Black Rose Witch, in this duel. With the pride of a knight descendant, he thinks that Aki is an evil witch that needs to be turned down.

Shira has another name called Reborn Reaper due to the rumor that anybody who duels him is unable to duel again. He is one of Duel Fortune Cup's participants; however, he is beaten by Mukuro behind the stage. Mukuro takes his place to fight Yusei in a riding duel.

He is a duelist with the title "The Profiler". This name comes because he also does a lot of research on his opponent's profile in order to create a deck against him or her. He creates a crime-punishment theme deck in order to give a lesson to Aki called to be an evil witch.

Divine is a member of Arcadia Movement that is an organization involved with psychic duelists like Aki. He is aware of Aki's unusual power along with her pain and sorrow, so he gives her a hand and supports her behind the mask of Black Rose Witch.

Professor Frank is a duel counselor and also a psychologist. He is also one of the assassins working directly for Rex and Yeager. His duel skill is to read duelists' mind through a rorschach test applied to a duel. Frank is asked to lose in the first match of Fortune Cup in order to have a loser revival match with Ruca. In this duel, he reveals his truly evil face behind his cool and calm personality.

A clumsy and awkward journalist comes from the country and dreams of making a success. While she may be clumsy and dunderheaded, she is a tenacious spirit with a very positive personality. She approaches into Jack by accidents and is involved with mysterious stories. Her duel against Divine unexpectedly opens her true face as one of Dark Signers.

She is Carly's rival in media career. Both of them always compete in order to get news ahead of each other. Unlike Carly, Angela is a confident and lively journalist and has strong personality.

He is a normal street duelist taken control by the spider of Dark Signers to duel Yusei. His deck is totally altered as he is facing Yusei. After the duel, he can't remember anything but a thread of a spider he saw shortly.

Although foul-mouthed, he cares for children and is an incredibly kind guy. He does steal, but is a chivalrous thief that does it for the sake of underprivileged kids. Friends with Yusei and the others for long time, he is a fiery-hearted man who shares the same sense of camaraderie Yusei does.

He was once a big brother figure who led Yusei and his friends as their leader. He, Jack, Yusei, and Crow were once good friends. A certain incident caused him to become a "Dark Signer"who has hate over Yusei.

Rudger is the boss of the Dark Signers. He seethes with anticipation to carry out revenge. He was once an assistant of Dr.Fudo in M.I.D.S. He is also the true big brother of Rex Goodwin. Surprisingly, he is chosen as a Signer but decides to cut it out and turn into a Dark Signer.

Demak is holding strong hostility toward Signers. He captures Ancient Fairy Dragon and gives an order to the Demonic Monkey King, Zeman, to capture monster spirits in the spirit world as sacrifices for his Earthbound God.

An internationally active fashion mode is capable of physiognomy. She approaches into Carly and gives her a fortune that she sees Carly's death fate. The true face of this beautiful model is one of Dark Signers searching for revenge on Aki believed to kill her brother.

The true face of the world-class model is one of the Dark Signers. She obtains the power of darkness and turns dark in order to revenge Black Rose Witch said to kill her dear brother. The power she obtains is the power of a Nazca Line's monster, The Lizard, with green signature color.

An awdward girl turns into one of the chosen Dark Signers after beging defeated by Divine. She revives with the unexpected power of a Nazca Line's monster, The Hummingbird, with orange signature color.

Yusei's father is the lead supervisor of the Mormetn project. He develops Mormetn along with the Goodwin's brothers, Rex and Rudger. Because he is aware of negative impact coming from Mormetn, he plans to seal it by creating the seals in form of 4 Synchro monster cards.

Aki's father is the senator of Neo Domino City. With his busy work, he spent less time with Aki when she was young. Realizing Aki's terrifying power, he was scared and tried to push her away. It's the main reason why Aki separates from her parents and turns wild.

Aki's mother is a housewife who always took care of Aki when she was young and when her fater was busy at work.

Tranka is a spirit of a spellcaster. He is actually a very experienced spell master at an uncle age. Due to the curse of minus, his body is transformed into a kid. He wanders in the spirit world with Ruca and leads her to meet Regulus at the Forest of Pojar.

Regulus is a close servant of Ancient Fairy Dragon. He is an armored lion with a unicorn. With the curse of minus and the fact that he couldn't protect Ancient Fairy Dragon, Regulus is in frustration and is hostile against everyone getting close to him.

The Demonic Monkey King, Zeman, is the subordinate of Demak. He receives an order from Demak to capture monster spirits in the spirit world for sacrifices of an Earthbound God. He is also the one who seals Ancient Fairy Dragon in the spirit world.

Toby is Misty's dear younger brother. He also obtains mysterious power and is targeted by Arcadia Movement. Misty has grudge over Aki because Arcadia Movement killed Toby during experiment. However, it's later revealed that the one who killed Toby is Divine.

A boy lives with Marsa on Satelitte. He lost his parents since he was young but is very energetic. He has a great dream to become a security like Ushio as a security saved him once. He therefore is fond of Ushio and tries to hang around him.

A mysterious man is from Yliaster. He meets Rudger at the Spider Nazca Line and encourages him to continue development on the Mormetn and replace Dr. Fudo's role. His identity behind Yliaster is still unknown.

Schmitt is a doctor living with Marsa on Satellite. He and Marsa saved Yusei after he was seriously injured in the duel with Kiryu.

He is the captain of the security team who chases after Kiryu and finally arrests him.
